Idle question: why do men take so bloody long to poo? Do they force one out before they actually to go, so it takes longer?

I want to clean the bathroom but can't get in there. It's annoying.

OP posts:
TheWoollybacksWife · 11/04/2020 09:55

I'd leave it half an hour after he comes out too. Just to be on the safe side 🤣

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 11/04/2020 09:56

Hope DDog is ok crazy?

I think they play games on their phones fluffy!

Have been to the allotment early before it gets too hot and done some watering and weeding. Have onions, garlic, first early potatoes, strawberries and shallots in there at the moment. Will plant some second early potatoes in the garden today and also split the maincrop potatoes between the allotment and garden. Am trying to balance well between the two as not sure if allotments will be closed at some point so have onions, shallots, strawbs rhubarb, fruit trees, asparagus, carrots, radishes and spring onions in the garden and will split my brassicas, leeks etc as they become ready.

Have been looking at all the plots down the allotment and have some good ideas for next year so will spend the winter planning and getting all the equipment ready for a proper go at the allotment next year. This year is just chucking stuff in to the honest.

Love your wildflower area fluffy.

Mrsmadevans · 11/04/2020 09:57

Morning everyone 😀
*Crazy hope darling dog is much better now 🤗💐
Bob's cat were fine but the one was terrible sick 🤮 on Thursday and trying to die and yesterday when we got there they were fine 🙄 I think they're moulting and it's hair balls. I so hope he's ok 💐
Wreck hope you are feeling better now m'dear 💐🤗
Fluffy they like to take their time don't they 😂😂😂

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 11/04/2020 09:59

Hot Cross Bun and lemon curd for breakfast here

Got a Sainsbury delivery , I don't have a "Christmas Fridge" but there's less bare shelves .

I don't know if there's an issue with eggs but I ordered 12 Large Free Range , they didn't sub them, just "unavailable" .
So didn't think "Oh give her 12 Medium , or even 6 eggs ".
Probably thought "Greedy bat , give her nuffink " Xmas Shock )

Flufffy does your DH read in the loo or go on his phone? I sometimes sit on the loo and decide what I;m going to tidy or clean. Put that bottle of shampoo in the cupboard and get another one out to randomise it .

pussycatinboots · 11/04/2020 10:07

fluffy that's why we bought this house Grin more loos than people.
I'd assume it means he'll clean the bathroom while he's in there Wink
Mrs it'll be hairballs, Charlie is like this every spring/early summer. He's on anti-hairball food which is more expensive and seems to make very little difference but has a preference for tinned tuna
DH is out with the bloody Karcher again - last bit around/behind the shed. I wouldn't mind, but it's my toy, he bought it for my birthday years ago I bought him a vax carpet shampooer
GrinGrin

NerosFiddle · 11/04/2020 10:39

Morning.

It's a nice day here. Might get dh to get the garden furniture out of the shed.

I'm watching Saturday kitchen at the minute with a cup of tea. I only got 2 hours sleep
Last night and I am beyond wrecked.

WreckTangled · 11/04/2020 10:40

Fluffy the answer to hour question is yes. DH says he has to force it because there usually isn't a loo where he's working (I know, I know Wink)

Some twat has lit a bonfire.

Just did a hiit with weights. I've got to stop eating I've put on so much weight and my stomach is huge.

Mrs, WreckCat is still soooo fluffy he must be boiling. He has hair balls the size of, umm let me think.... a hamster?! No bigger. A rat Grin just a small rat though.

70 a lot of supermarkets here haven't got any eggs at all

I had a zoom call with my friends last night which was fun.

NerosFiddle · 11/04/2020 11:24

Wreck I had a zoom "pub quiz". It was great craic.

pussycatinboots · 11/04/2020 13:22

Wreck you must have moved? Some twat has lit one here too Angry
All the doors and windows are now shut. Bastards.
I comb our two every other day, it's scary to see how much fur they've shed on their beds and ours I'm sure ginger/pale fur is thicker...
Neros you poor thing. No sleep is the one thing that will floor me.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 11/04/2020 13:51

I manage to vacuum up a couple of canisters of black fur off our stairs each time ( in my defence the canister for my Shark vacuum is stupidly small and my two moggies are sheddling like billy-o . They look sleek and panther like now rather than little woolly bears Xmas Grin )

No furballs (yet) but the odd frothy-spit-grass

I cannot remember if there were eggs the last time I braved the shops, I don't buy them often . But DH likes cooked breakfast things on a lazt weekend and I thought I'd bake a cake .

It's like The Fox The Grain and The Goose
I have butter . I have flour . But no eggs .
Last week I had flour . I had eggs. But no dark chocolate for brownies .

This weekend I have some - half a bag -breadflour (in date) some yeast(in date) some marzipan (in date) and some cherries .
But if I make an Easter Equivilant of Stollen.....only I like this .
I might just eat the marzipan Xmas Grin

CrazyBaubles · 11/04/2020 13:54

I'm less tired and grumpy now Grin.

Ddog is ok - I think he ate something on his walk yesterday and clearly regretted it this morning 💩

Fluffy when I first met DH he definitely didn't spend long in the bathroom but is often ages now. I think it's because they're on their phones...

Well done on the allotment most. It sounds like you're getting a lot done.

Eggs are an essential here 70. DH couldn't get any 2 weeks ago but local farm shop has them - do you have somewhere like that you could try?

Neros can you have a nanna nap this afternoon?

Wreck & puss are your neighbours usually so selfish? I bloody hate bonfires - not so bad if it's done in an evening and they give you notice but to use a nice sunny day and do one then makes me 😡

I have 2 loads of washing on the line and have cleaned the kitchen. That's about all I plan to do today apart from figuring out how to do 'joeys' beak and feet...

PJMasksGhekko · 11/04/2020 13:58

Afternoon, one shift done, 1 to go, we got an easter egg so dd is happy Grin

pussycatinboots · 11/04/2020 15:45

70s that's a bugger about the eggs - any farms/smaller shops/petrol stations nearby?

Crazy they're not always that bad - but the Alpha Male does have a "thing" for burning things Hmm
The Alpha Female has just had a massive row with her boss - she wants more gloves (ppe as she's a 1:1 carer 2 nights a wk) as she's used 2 boxes in 2 wks and they've said no chance - they haven't enough as it is.
Thing is, she's been using works gloves for shopping (every other day), works gloves for going to cut hair, work gloves for going to the bin Hmm, he's be wearing her works gloves for tinkering with his car, gardening, shopping on the days she doesn't...I feel like bashing their heads together!
It's a precious resource that genuinely front line NHS workers need, not someone sitting with a person overnight so while they're asleep in their own home really needs, just wash your hands FFS!!
Sorry, but that may have been one rather loud overheard conversation too many for me after last weekend.
AngryAngry
Anyone else thinking they need to move to a small, remote island when this is over? Just for their own sanity?

Mrsmadevans · 11/04/2020 17:27

70 you can make a cracking Simnel cake with those ingredients Grin
Boot yes l have thought the same , an uninhabited island preferably Grin
PJ fab stuff ,1 more to go yay!
Crazy am so glad your Dd is better today Smile
Wreck Dh loves a bonfire Grin your poor Dcat Shock he is going to be so hot this Summer can you shave it off everyone is dong their own haircuts Grin
Nero you need a nap this afternoon m'dear Smile
Is it me or is Priti Patel horrible, she make me feel like nails are being scraped down a blackboard Shock

WreckTangled · 11/04/2020 17:40

Mrs the local council have asked people not to have bonfires at the moment. I don't mind if people have them in the evening but day time is just so selfish when we all have our washing out!

He's definitely been trying to find shade wherever he can

Christmas countdown 2020: Lockdown edition (thread 4)
pussycatinboots · 11/04/2020 17:52

Wreck he's not going to let you comb/brush him, is he?
and you won't get near him with the hoover Shock

WreckTangled · 11/04/2020 17:53

No and no Grin he hates the hoover, I would live to do it though! He's pretty good at keeping his fur in good condition, he sometimes gets small matted bits which we can tease out but that's it.

Mrsmadevans · 11/04/2020 17:55

Wreck tbf Dh only lights them in the evening, he is an officer and a gentleman Grin your beautiful cat ahhh he is gorgeous drool

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 11/04/2020 18:11

Our female cat will sit on the stairs while I vacuum (carpet , not her Xmas Grin ) about 3" away . She's our Brave Cat .

But they both scarper off like a bullet is someone sneezes (and this was Pre-Corona )

Simnel type cake is a good call. I don't have any dried fruit ( though I have Amarretto) so I might get eggs and sultanas on Monday .
I was going to send DS round to Tesco Metro but it wasn't an Essential Journey .
But I have a bootfull of glass recycling and I have to drive DH to work on Monday ......

pussycatinboots · 11/04/2020 18:39

Funny about sneezes - if you pretend sneeze, do all the inhaling/actions etc, Charlie scarpers Grin Tilly stands her ground - until you actually sneeze on her HmmConfused they're the same with the hoover too, he will run away and she will sit there and refuse to budge Grin
She is way more brave than him - he's a big gentle soft cuddly bear and a mummys boy Blush she has her moments and will purr and purr and let you rub her tummy until you are bored, but she is sharp of mind, tooth and claw I have the scars to prove it

I don't like marzipan Blush I know, sorry, but it just sticks my teeth together and tastes awful. If they made a chocolate flavour...

WreckTangled · 11/04/2020 18:41

I love marzipan!

Does anyone else's cat like crisps? WreckCat is partial to a Pringle BlushGrin

pussycatinboots · 11/04/2020 18:51

Tilly prefers croissants and Danish pastry - with or without butter, apricot jam, passionfruit curd the expensive tiptree one I can't get anymore cottage pie, custard, cream crackers, cheese (Wensleydale if pos) and toast crumbs.
Her diet is appalling Blush
Not tried her with crisps - what flavour do you recommend? Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 11/04/2020 19:07

Marzipan is grim (it's from Estonia, you know; there's a museum dedicated to it)!

I've been busy today as I cleaned the bathroom and kitchen (I do the skirting board, doors, frames and table in the dining room at the same time as the kitchen), went to Aldi as we were short of milk and soft fruit (plus got some bits for the in-laws), hung the washing out, potted my chillies and peppers on, sowed squash, courgette, pumpkin, sweetcorn, basil, lemongrass and some bean seeds, walked DD to two friends' houses who have birthdays tomorrow to drop cards off, cleaned the downstairs windows at the back, fleeced my tomatoes in the greenhouse, watered the plants and brought the washing in. DH and I shared the job of making crumble too. Time for a sit down once the kids are asleep!

I'm loving the cat tales though I'm a dog person. Wreck, yours is so furry (that sounds wrong)!

Crazy, I'm glad your dog is well today.

70, I'll swap your flour for eggs. I've loads of eggs round here. Bugger all flour though.

Sorry to anyone I've missed. You've been chatty today!
