Hi folks. What a glorious day here. I am working later so lazing on the sofa. (Not off till Sunday so conserving energy).

Hope you are all doing OK not really had a chance to catch up with the thread. We are excellent at talking it would seem.

WreckTangled · 09/04/2020 15:11

25° here at the moment. Have my washing out HaloWink and have been in the garden with the dc most of the day. Did a kettlebell work out this morning so ate some cake to replace lost calories Grin

PJMasksGhekko · 09/04/2020 15:16

Blimey Wreck, you are getting good Grin

Afternoon everyone Smile
Have sad news poor Pidgy has just died, he was absolutely fine , walking about , eating drinking , poohing , preening and then he made the most awful noise coughed up this load of blood and died, we were getting fond of him too , l suppose at least he wasn't in any pain and we didn't leave him for a cat to mangle Sad
Why you work so hard m'dear , have a lovely time in the garden Smile
Been looking at the numbers of the CV inpatients in Wales it seems there are 1150 inpatients with CV19 AND 2200 PATIENTS WITH EVERYTHING ELSE WRONG WITH THEM. THEY ARE AT 50% CAPACITY OF THE ITU BEDS AND THEY ARE (sorry caps HAVE STARTED SO I'LL FINISH LOL) and they are making room for a lot more. It seems as if the counting of the deaths is not the poor ppl who have died in the last 24 hrs, the number could be from as long as 10 days ago according to this
www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/coronavirus-death-toll-uk-april-9-2020_uk_5e8ee514c5b6b371812c4d0f
It is the HUFF POST THOUGH SO TAKE it with a pinch sack of salt Grin although they do quote the DHSC numbers so l don't know, it's anyone's guess really, all over the place methinks Hmm

Mrsmadevans · 09/04/2020 15:52

Did you get my PM'S ? Fluffy only about the troll everyone Grin
Wreck glad you are better after yesterday m'dear Flowers Cake WineGrin

NoWordForFluffy · 09/04/2020 15:57

I've peaked too soon, I think.

We've got the greenhouse up, I've made the mincemeat and I've weeded the garden too! 😂

I got your PMs, Mrs! Sorry about Pidgy. I don't think pigeons do well once injured.

TheWoollybacksWife · 09/04/2020 16:07

@CrazyBaubles has your thread arrived?

I've had what counts as a productive day today. I've washed the bedding from yesterday's changed beds, made bread, tidied and cleaned the kitchen and done a bit of light dusting. Now trying to get the oomph together to finish the bear I'm crocheting.

Poor Pidgy MrsMad Sad

Mrsmadevans · 09/04/2020 16:14

Ahh thank you Woolly & Fluffy RE Pidgy bless him but at leats he didn't suffer Sad
You have cheered me up though with your doing too much too soon & peaking! Grin
It's beautiful day here, Crazy have you finished 'Joey' m'dear , l can't wait to see him, no pressure mind Grin

pussycatinboots · 09/04/2020 16:30

Hello Smile
DH is fine - to cut a vv long story short the cardiologist thinks he stood up to quickly (because of the nose bleed/the meds to lower his BP and lower his heart rate) then passed out...
Thank you all for your good thoughts/wishes etc - I'l catch up in a bit.
The laptop decided to expire just after my last post on Sat useless pile of crap that it was and I've got a new one today(about 2hrs ago) -hurrah!!!
@NoWordForFluffy I see we have another bridge dweller Hmm that was a lovely-union-jack-bunting-welcome-back-moment GrinGrin
Mrs I do wonder sometimes if they are tracking you? How is Bob (poor love)? sorry about your pidgy - we have a few randy ones Blush Shock I've named them Dyson, Hoover, Vax, Shark-lift-away Grin

Just to let you all know...
DH was admitted to majors just after midnight on Sat am.
It was as quiet as the grave...the staff were all over him like a rash
He moved to a ward on Sat afternoon for "Observation"...he said they went through PPE really quickly - new mask/gloves/apron every time they entered the ward. The nurses said that the safest place to be was on the ward - "would you want to work on a checkout at tesco?" they have split our local (5 mins away) hosp in two.
One half is "corona" only (although only a couple of ward with hardly any patients) - they are separate and have their own staff rota etc and are not to mix with the rest of the hosp/staff (inc porters/caterers etc)
the other half (or about 80%) is strictly no visitors - i dropped off a ruck sack with essentials for DH on Sat and stood 2m away from the door to the ward to hand it over.
He had (after the initial troponin tests) ambulatory ECG, chest X ray, CT scan of his head - there was a post-it with IOU on apparently...Wink more blood tests, exercise/stress test, more blood tests, more ECGs basically they couldn't find anything wrong with him Hmm
If they'd done my BP etc, I suspect I would have needed a hospital bed more than him...
Oh, and there is no NO phone signal at A&E or in Ward 1!

It's nice to be back

thanks for being there

WreckTangled · 09/04/2020 16:33

Phew boots! Pleased to have you back!

TheWoollybacksWife · 09/04/2020 16:40

Welcome back Boots 🥂

Good to hear your DH is fine. Is he still in hospital? How are you doing? BP and pulse back to normal yet?

I'm raging. DD1's birthday is Monday. She took ages thinking of something she wanted (jewellery) and I ordered it a couple of weeks ago. Got an email on Monday saying it was out of stock and wouldn't be coming back in. Grr! Finally found it in stock on another website so ordered it and paid extra for express delivery. Got a call today from the courier to say they couldn't locate my address so they'll attempt delivery on Tuesday. Double Grrrr!

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 09/04/2020 16:45

So glad that all is well boots :)

So sorry about Pidgy Mrs :(

We have had a lovely day enjoying the sun in the garden, planting salad leaves and DS had the the paddling pool out.

NoWordForFluffy · 09/04/2020 16:52

Boots!!!!!!!! Thank god you're OK (and your DH too). I was so worried about you.

And yes, who's that trip-trapping over my bridge indeed. Hmm

Forgot a photo of my mincemeat. Fail.

We've had afternoon beer today too. Life goals!

My camelias are in full bloom, the cherry tree and magnolia smell amazing, my spuds are in the ground and i've sown my carrots Grin
i luffs spring!!Smile
still catching up, sorry if i miss anything Blush

pussycatinboots · 09/04/2020 17:00

Woolly he was discharged Mon PM - BP and heart rate fine, his ECG is abnormal anyway because of his bypass surgery and 2 lots of stents (you can see one on the trace if you know where to look)
I'm sure your DD will understand that the courier has deferred her birthday by one day Grin

Most thank you

Mrs RIP poor pidgy

PJMasksGhekko · 09/04/2020 17:04

So glad to see you boots. All is well again on here Grin

Your beer looks very refreshing fluffy

pussycatinboots · 09/04/2020 17:25

PJ I agree with you that fluffy has the right idea with the beer...cheers Blush

It's been a long few days.

PJMasksGhekko · 09/04/2020 17:27

Ah I bet it has Flowers

NoWordForFluffy · 09/04/2020 18:23

Greenhouse (and the racking from the old poly greenhouses repurposed!). I'm feeling much happier about the garden now. Tomorrow is allotment day, and then Sat will be potting peppers on and moving the tomato seedlings into the greenhouse, ready to use the indoor space for other things! 🌱

I'll be having another drink soon I can tell you!

Glad you're back, boots. I was really hoping it was just a crappy tech issue. Glad to hear your DH is home safe. Congratulations on your new laptop Wink

It's been grey and dull all day today over on the East side, I'm very jealous of your sunny beer-drinking weather over there!

I accidentally left my baby tomatoes, chillies, peppers, cucumbers, courgettes and aubergines outside overnight last night after putting them out for some sun yesterday. Thank goodness it was a mild night - I'd have cried if I'd lost them all!

Flowers MrsM, poor Pidgy. At least you made his last days comfortable.

Woolly just pretend like you've lost a day, and believe Tuesday is actually Monday. Think most people have lost track of the days anyway. Or print a picture of it for her to open on Monday Wink
