Really hope your DH is ok boots!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 04/04/2020 11:22

Awww MN Hand-Hold there Puss it is a huge worry and worse if there's no way to contact.
Time in a hospital seems to run different than time outside , not helped by the fact they don't seem to have clocks

I made pancakes for my locust like DC . My DS is very scornful of my Traditions unless they benefit him.

I have ordered their Easter Eggs ( Dairy Milk for DD , Crunchie for DS) but I might just eat DS eggs to teach him not to be so chintzy .

Female Cat brought me in a Red Admiral Butterfly . From the looks of it , not one from this year < eek>

WreckTangled · 04/04/2020 11:24

I hope you hear toon boots

I'm still not dressed. Should sort that out really. The dc have been awful and I've been shouty mum. Haven't even got any chocolate 😭 because I ate it all

TheWoollybacksWife · 04/04/2020 11:54

My DS did a karate lesson via zoom this morning. I was very impressed. I used to stay in his lessons and watch but haven't seen a black belt class before. He's pretty good and unlike his mother knows his right from his left without thinking about it 🤣

PJMasksGhekko · 04/04/2020 12:45

Ha ha woolly, I can relate to that Grin

Wreck, I've only just got dressed too, I used to love PJ days but I can't do them anymore for some reason.

Mrsmadevans · 04/04/2020 13:29

Have only just come on here & read your news . l am so sorry to hear this about your Dh Boots l am so hoping he will be ok , bless you both, l know what you mean to each other. Am thinking and praying and am here if you want me, anytime you have my Number lots of love winging it;s way to you both, take care xxx am wishing all things good for you both Flowers

Mrsmadevans · 04/04/2020 13:48

Crickhowell much busier this morning, think ppl have come to their second homes and are being ridiculous, queuing outside Cashells shop, they really need fining heavily, Powys having been relatively unscathed up until now Sad . I have been to Llangors nearly every day for the last 2 weeks caring for Mum & Bob and it has never been like this before, it was so busy.
Bob wasn't very well he is a little bit confused this morning , l sat him down and gave him some brekky and a cuppa, Mum said he had a terrible night sleep and he didn't look well . I wondered if he had a slight stroke or a TIA but he didn't seem as if he had. I just think he isn't right. Something is brewing but l couldn't find anything obvious. I offered to take them both to hers to stay and l would have stayed with them but they wouldn't hear of it Sad, Just thinking now he could have a UTI l suppose that makes elderly people a bit confused. Poor Bob at least Mum is there and has full control of her facilties. Will be up in the morning so we shall see then.
Pidgy is getting better standing on both his legs , keeping him for another couple of days then will return him to Mums Smile

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 04/04/2020 14:47

So glad to hear about Pidgy doing well :)

Had a productive time in the garden planting the last of the onion sets, potting on my peppers and moving various pots etc around to make the garden look more attractive :)

NoWordForFluffy · 04/04/2020 15:39

I need to pot my peppers on, but couldn't be arsed in the end. I did clean the bathroom and kitchen and mow the lawn. Plus we had an emergency trip to the allotment for a parsnip! The kids scooted and I trotted at pace behind them. Grin

I'm glad the pigeon is coming on. I hope Bob is better tomorrow.

CrazyBaubles · 04/04/2020 18:53

MrsMad I'm sure I could whip up a mask for you - can't say it will help at all though 😂

Keep an eye on Bob, UTI's seem to make themselves known in older people relatively quickly.

Fluffy the cross stitch looks amazing, I can't wait to see it finished. Will you frame it and just hang it up for Christmas? Or turn it into a cushion or something?

Would you be ok on furlough?

Oh puss, I'm sorry about your DH. Have you had any more news? I hope he's ok

Wreck I've realised that since we've been in isolation, I've been so focused on staying in some sort of routine I've been getting up and dressed every day and staying that way until bedtime so yesterday I lounged in my pjs until lunchtime and it was glorious Grin

I had a rubbish nights sleep last night (5 broken hours - I think it's worry getting me without me realising iykwim). Today has basically been working on the bloody crochet bird because my sewing of details is rubbish a bit of housework and a walk. We've also just had tea delivered from the local chippy and it was delicious.

FireflyGirl · 04/04/2020 20:12

Ooh, chippy tea Crazy. I'm very jealous!

We had Lebanese Kofta with falafel and couscous well, I had couscous, DH refused to eat it after I let slip it was BBE September 2015 Blush in my defence it had been dried which didn't really hit the spot for me. The falafel were scrummy, though!

PJ days are awesome, Wreck. I imagine most of the country are having a fair few at the moment.

How's your DH doing tonight, boots?

The cross stitch is looking good, Fluffy. We'll done on the cleaning - I left that to DH today and took DS to the allotment for a couple of hours. My strawberry bed is nearly de-weeded, but I can't decide whether to get compost to cover it (either delivered from the local family-run garden centre, or if they're not selling it, click and collect from B&Q) or just plant back into the soil I've dug over.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 04/04/2020 21:28

Mrs I think this would've been the start of the Easter holidays so maybe people are ignoring Lockdown and travelling as they planned to ?

I have a bag of M&S "Count Colin the Catepillar" veggie sweets .(They were Hallowe'en ones ) They went out of date on 25/02/20 so I'll only have a couple in case they have gone funny .

Crossing everything for Puss DH and Bob.

And if the Pidgeon wants to pop over to Essex, my cats will give it a hug Xmas Wink

PJMasksGhekko · 04/04/2020 22:45

puss I hope everything is ok xx

NoWordForFluffy · 05/04/2020 07:25

Morning. It's meant to be lovely today. We're having an allotment BBQ if it is!

Boots, is your DH OK? I'm worried that we've not heard from you. Flowers

Crazy, I think I'll frame it and have it out all year (all my others are so far!). I love the cushion idea but would worry it would get wrecked.

As for furlough, if it's only 3 weeks then we should muddle through (mum has apparently sent us a cheque). If it's longer, it'll be a bloody nightmare.

70, 25 Feb is barely any time ago. The sweets will be more than fine.

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 05/04/2020 08:20

Nice plan fluffy :) We will also be heading to the allotment to water and keep an eye on things :)

WreckTangled · 05/04/2020 08:34

Firefly I would have eaten the couscous too

70 the sweets will be fine for sure

I just woke up. DH is still in bed. The dc babe come downstairs and had a brioche and cereal and aren't arguing so all in all, so far, today has been a good day Grin

I've got my final Tesco delivery tomorrow and I've just checked and there's lots not available. Very annoying. Also because of their new 80 item cap I can't buy any loose fruit and veg as it bumps the count up.

WreckTangled · 05/04/2020 11:21

Boots really hoping everything is ok

I've done a forty minute full body tabata with weights. Couldn't even lift my glass to have a drink afterwards Grin

CrazyBaubles · 05/04/2020 11:53

That's nice of your mum Fluffy.

DH put up a new washing line for me yesterday because I kept moaning - that's married romance right there 😂

I've been working on the bird. Pic attached - be warned, he looks odd. He has no wings, beak or feet at the mo. I'm in the process of making the wings but realised yesterday I have no yellow thread to make the beak 🙄 BUT I think the mish mash of patterns worked because he has a nice fat belly.

puss another one worried about you. Thinking of your DH and hope you're ok 💐

Crazy he looks just like the budgie my mum used to have

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 05/04/2020 12:14

We got a Sainsbury delivery , couple of subs but they were fine .
Everything I order on the Quorn/ Lind McCartney range seems to be out of stock, has Veganuary taken hold Xmas Wink

The M&S Colins were fine , just a bit of colour loss , though they're natural vegetable colourings so maybe they do leach colour . Still ok, but I can understand now why they've been loitering for six months uneaten Grin

Just vacuumed enough fur off the stair/hall carpet to knit a couple of new cats !. Love the Budgie , you could crochet an entire aviary , different colours .
Anyone remember a kids' TV show , early 80s . There was a bloke with perfoming budgies . The name Charlie Corloni (sp) springs to mind but I coud be making that up.

Flowers to Puss hope everything is going well as can be .

Mrsmadevans · 05/04/2020 12:15

WreckTangled · 05/04/2020 12:31

No it's coming tomorrow, thank goodness as we don't have much food left.

FireflyGirl · 05/04/2020 13:55

MrsM my hayfever has kicked in as well. When I was pregnant with DS I didn't get it, so was hoping it'd be the same this time Sad

I've spent the morning sorting the raised bed in the front garden. It's had Swiss chard and beetroots overwintering, for salad leaves, but mostly bare and one of the cats has been using it as a litter tray Hmm So, now de-pooped, trellis up round the edge to keep the little feckers off, and all ready for new compost. Luckily DH bought a big bag for it before we entered lockdown. The local garden centre don't have any in stock and nowhere else has replied so must be closed, so looks like it'll be a trip to B&Q for DH, but I'm just going to try and leave it as long as possible.

DH has spent the day putting up new shelves in the garage, and complaining because we 'have too much alcohol'. We don't drink much at home, so we've got loads leftover from summer BBQs/Christmas Blush But now I can see what we've got, I know we don't need to buy me any Asti for this Christmas!

TheWoollybacksWife · 05/04/2020 14:25

Fabulous bird Crazy. Is it yellow yarn or embroidery thread you're looking for? I've definitely got yarn and I think I've got thread - I can send you some if you want.

Hope everything is ok Boots.

WreckTangled · 05/04/2020 15:43

It's so lovely here today not a cloud in the sky. Eerie not seeing any planes go over though usually there's loads.
