Wreck Here there are hun schools because we have loads of schools (I think there are 8 primary schools within a 15 min drive of my house) so it didn't make sense to have them all open for the sake of 1 or 2 pupils but does mean parents don't have to go very far out of their way.
Also, they're open 8-6 rather than normal school hours - no point being open as a childcare option for frontline workers if you can only work 8:30-3 ish!

Fluffy your cross stitch looks amazing. I need to add one of the John Clayton ones to my collection when I'm brave enough. I'm in love with 'The Village' (pic attached).
Well done on the delivery slot!

MrsMad coconut cake is one of my faves - that, lemon drizzle or Victoria sponge 😍😍

I slept quite well. 7 hours but with a 15 minute brake at 4am. Am now up, dressed and decent and about to start work on 'joey'

Ooh that is lovely crazy! Once we are in late summer I will have to get a Christmas themed one to see me through Autumn.

WreckTangled · 03/04/2020 09:03

Ah ok there's miles between schools here so hopefully that won't happen.

NoWordForFluffy · 03/04/2020 09:17

Crazy, I have that one too! It's in my stack to do. I also have the cottage.

My Tesco slot is only C&C; I don't even try for delivery. It's better than queuing to get in though! I did queue for Aldi this morning though. But I got to the tills first, so zoomed through.

Our schools have merged too, Crazy. We have quite a few close together though. It wouldn't work rurally.

I'm so tired! Bloody shopping slot weariness!

Morning...oops!
Afternoon Grin
Front lawn has been mowed, weeded and tidied up.
DH has had a walk, and reports there were queues at the small convenience stores (at 9am)
I made chilli chicken and med veg lasagne for lunch, it was delicious.
DH is sleeping it off big lunch and half a glass of vino, he's a cheap date Wink
The cats were treated to a tin of tuna and are also Zzzzz somewhere.
Cleaned bathrooms, cleaning cloths already washed and pegged out, towels in now.
Could have sworn it was Thursday today, but I thought that on Tuesday as well Grin
Of to find some better hand cream, before I sand something down with my dry knuckles.

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 03/04/2020 14:37

Very productive day Boots!

I have sown some wildflower seeds, carrots, spring onions, radishes, savoy cabbage and broccoli today :) And I am up to 17 tomato seedlings.

Have ordered some pea growing bags so hope to have those going soon too.

TheWoollybacksWife · 03/04/2020 15:22

You shamed me into cleaning my bathrooms Boots. Blush

I've been to Tesco for a C&C and now have a full fridge. Had a bit of a Confused moment at the traffic lights outside the park. They were on red and there was already a car stopped. As I slowed down I briefly wondered if I needed to maintain a 2m distance 🤦🏻‍♀️ So compliant already.

WreckTangled · 03/04/2020 15:57

Woolly once all this is over it's going to be very hard to not dart out of the way of people isn't it?

I'm in bed. Just had a little snooze.

pussycatinboots · 03/04/2020 16:59

most DH is sowing his carrots tomorrow after painting the back of the shed, apparently
the spuds will be ready for potting by sun/mon i think.
Woolly very sorry. I did ours because of the blinkin toothpaste splashes. I really need to start wearing my glasses when I clean my teeth, as my aim must be pretty rotten without BlushGrin
I love the idea of social distancing in the car - but if the windows are down with Ashes to Ashes playing a bit too loudly on the stereo then technically you should. Wink
Wreck I may have had 40 winks on the sofa - before being sat on by a feline overlord again
I've had a shower and am in my PJs drinking alcohol - might as well make the most of it!

FireflyGirl · 03/04/2020 18:57

Very jealous of all your naps!

I've spent all day doing a summary of my files for my supervisor, it's been hectic. DS has spent the day playing on his tablet and watching TV. I put the Chester Zoo videos on for a break from Paw Patrol and DS was concerned that the giraffes weren't adhering to social distancing requirements Grin.

So, next week will be spending proper quality time with him. I'm looking forward to it, I've missed him since he's been at school. Thankfully, the weather seems to be warming up after today.

I checked my plants in the greenhouse and the second sowing of peas are just starting to push through, and the mizuna I direct sowed in the ground has sprouted. Feeling excited about getting out in the garden without worrying about trying to work as well now. I'll be off at least 3 weeks, probably longer, so I'm going to make the most of it.

Mrsmadevans · 03/04/2020 21:10

Ahhh well no wonder you didn't do a camel coat swagger if it is ONLY a C& C slot then Fluffy Grin
Crazy love the pic of the cross xtitch very Christmassy Smile
Glad you had a better night , hope 'Joey' is coming along nicely Smile
Made 3 coconut cakes Grin and 2 Lasagna , 1 cake for Mum and Bob and 1 Lasagna too. Did the Lasagna differently today put much more sauce with it than normally and it was lovely , not dry after Smile
Boots you en harf been busy love! Am vere impressed well done Grin
Most excellent work , Dh is moaning about the garden going to ruin because he won't be able to get his usual plants and compost because he can't get to a shop we are too afraid Mind he has 2 compost bins but he tells me you can't use the compost from that for hanging baskets Grin
Fire Dd2 workmates who were furloughed are so looking forward to being with their Dc she told me . So l think enjoy it and make the most of it Smile
Woolly you were very good to do your bathroom mine is filthy & covered in dust but l am cooking again so am happy
What was it like in Tesco? We are too scared to go. l am not kidding you. l am hoping to hold out for the vaccination in 18 months!
Dd1 went to look after Mum and Bob today and found an injured pidgeon at Mum's so she bought him home and he had a bad leg. We have fed and watered him but .... we shall have to see what happens . I fear the grim reaper will be calling here soon Sad
That is nature for you Sad still it's a pidgeon not a person .

Have to get real .
My brother just rang , he was complaining Mum hadn't rung him and l said Mum has no signal on her mobile. He said she could have rung me from Bob's phone and l said that she doesn't know how to use it and for him to phone her. l gave his wife the number. Turns out that he didn't want to do that Hmm just wanted to complain about her going up there and not telling him about it. I didn't go into detail and defoebd Mum like l normally do, l am learning Smile

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 03/04/2020 21:13

Fingers crossed for Pidgy Mrs!

I am lucky in that I bought all my seeds in Jan and in early March once I realised what was happening I bought a massive bag of compost.

PJMasksGhekko · 03/04/2020 21:31

Work was fine, we now have to wear masks on the ward, so I'm taking my own, far better than the ones provided and last weeks rather than hours!!

Mrsmadevans · 03/04/2020 21:53

PJ glad you were ok there tonight m'dear , what mask have you got please? I have aprons, gloves hand gel for Mum but no masks . I rang Powys County council for PPE and they refused any help in sourcing it. I didn't want them to pay for it but where l could get it from Hmm
You are not on CV ward though are you lovely? Hope not Flowers
Most l told DH about month ago to get everything he needed but would he listen Hmm , Dd1 has called Pidgy Owain Grin

PJMasksGhekko · 03/04/2020 22:07

Mrs
, I've no idea, Dh has them, they are not the throw away ones though, he's had them a while xx

Mrsmadevans · 03/04/2020 22:23

Ohhh l wonder what they are then. l have been tempted to try and make some tbh with you Grin think l may ask Crazy to crochet me one Grin

PJMasksGhekko · 03/04/2020 22:29

Go for it, it could be very colourful too Grin Can you do colourful crochet? I've no idea lol

Another late night! I'm a glutton for punishment. Wink Last night was due to watching a documentary on Queen (I cried; I appear to be having a delayed grief reaction to Freddie Mercury's death SadBlush). And I was cross stitching too. Look how much more I've done; it's really taking shape.

I may be joining you on the furlough bench, Firefly. Though once they get April's to-do list they may decide that I'm needed, especially as I have a load of opposed Applications needing witness statementsa CCMCC needing a paginated e-bundle and a Trial that won't be vacated until the last minute because it's at a hopelessly disorganised Court (which has a massive bundle at present, which will need to be collated / made into an e-bundle). Plus lots of deadlines as well. Time will tell!

It's meant to be nice this weekend. I need to do housework and the garden today and then the allotment tomorrow. I hope people don't decide to get out and about too much.

DH is in hospital. He woke up with a nose bleed and passed out in the ensuite. He didn't come round for ages, so i phoned an ambulance. They checked him over and did an ecg on him which might be ok, but because of his prev history it's abnormal anyway
He's gone in for a troponin blood test - they do 2, 12hrs apart to check for damage to the heart muscle (he has NSTEMI heart attacks so it doesn't show any other way) and a more thorough check over.
Because of CV, I had to stay at home (which was lucky as Charlie has been sick in the kitchen) oh, and there's a really crap signal in Majors so it's unlikely his phone will work.
It's been a very long night and is already a very long day.

NoWordForFluffy · 04/04/2020 07:55

Oh god, Boots. I really hope he's OK. It's the best and not best place to be, isn't it? Flowers

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 04/04/2020 07:55

Oh no boots how scary for you. I hope DH is ok I don't know anything about heart conditions are you saying he possibly had a heart attack? Thanks

I'm still in bed the dc are arguing downstairs and DH has gone to work so I should probably get up.

pussycatinboots · 04/04/2020 08:03

fluffy I know. perfect timing!
Wreck possibly, NSTEMI are harder to diagnose than STEMI which would show up on an ecg.
Have a lie in (you can use some of the sleep i haven't had) Grin

TheWoollybacksWife · 04/04/2020 09:14

Oh Boots hope he's ok. When are you likely to hear anything?

pussycatinboots · 04/04/2020 09:26

Depends how quickly they did the first test, there's a follow up a few hrs later. I'm assuming it was about 2 when they took the first one.
Tried phoning Majors, but there's no answer - which is good, it mean's they're getting on with the important stuff and not chatting to me!

PJMasksGhekko · 04/04/2020 10:36

So sorry to hear that puss, I hope you hear very soon Flowers

Rubbish night here, oh well, it's nothing new Grin

Cross stitch looks amazing fluffy, well done Grin

Think Ds is still in bed asleep.
