Could you ask them to include handwriting n maths? It might actually help them too. Smile

WreckTangled · 02/04/2020 17:07

I'll give them a call tomorrow to discuss I'm sure they'd be happy to. DH just attempted Tesco but apparently the queue is about an hour long so he's going to try again later.

Mrsmadevans · 02/04/2020 18:57

Wreck don't worry too much about your Ds falling behind the DC are really all in the same boat & they will all catch up, these DC are amazing today so clever and quick Smile, l have been stalking all the main supermarkets for deliveries 24/7
Boot GrinGrin trouble in camp last night Grin Mum was packing her bags to go home Hmm. Apparrently he is verymoody , sulks and miserable and wants all his own way Grin Grin l said
'Ok Mum we'll come and take you home now'. She backtracked and decided to stay funnily enough Hmm
Glad you got your shopping ok Smile
Crazy hope you feel better now and get a good nights sleep tonight. Think it's really very stressful time for everyone and we have to be so careful to look after ourselves Flowers
Fire furlough sounds ideal for you atm , hope it has made you feel relieved and much happier and less stressed.
They have furloughed some of the staff in WRU DD2'S work , she didn't want to be furloughed. She wanted to stay working albeit at home. She wasn't picked thankfully , she is good at I.T & the work they are doing atm is all I.T based so she is thrilled to bits. She is so good though she gets up at half 8 has a quick bath and in the box room for 9 , comes out at 1.30. then back in at 2.30 till 5, she isn't taking the mick at all . She misses the craic & her workmates though , she said they are like a family bless her Smile
Fluffy nice view of the office Grin would you like to be furloughed?
Would it be much better for you with the DC and DH? You can concentrate on the allotment and have a bit of time with the Dc , time you wouldn't be able to have with them otherwise Smile
Totally agree with you Most your house is so tidy and spotless and uncluttered l take my filthy Grin hat off to you Grin
Done a lovely Beef Casserole in the slow cooker , dumplings as well Grin that and the Banana cake will sort them all out they will be snoring their heads off tonight Grin

TheWoollybacksWife · 02/04/2020 19:06

Firefly hope you get chance to relax while you are furloughed.

Wreck that's a shame about having to travel to a new base. Hopefully school will get your email and be ready for your DC after Easter. Fingers crossed that they do some 1:1 with your DS.

Fluffy did you manage to get bread flour?

MrsMad than banana cake needs caramel sauce on top. I may be biased as caramel is my favourite. Loving "Bob's you new stepfather" 🤣🤣

Mrsmadevans · 02/04/2020 19:06

Woolly that site is gorgeous ! , love the Puffins and the Seagull ! Love them all but they are my favourites Grin
Spring like temperatures on the wEekend Derek the weatherman just said YAY!
Why l was very snarly when l did nights , l just got so irritated it's surprising how badly nights can affect ppl Grin glad you don't mind them Smile
PJ glad you are happy going back to work tomorrow, hope you have a good shift m'dear Smile
Better shift , have a good evening everyone Smile

pussycatinboots · 02/04/2020 19:09

Mrs I love Derek. Blush

Mrsmadevans · 02/04/2020 19:11

Woolly funny you should say that, the recipe did say to put bananas on the top with Demerara sugar. So l think it would have been caramelised but l didn't have enough over ripe bananas though Grin
I wouldn't mind having Bob as a stepfather tbh he is a sweetheart , my Mum is so lucky Smile

Mrsmadevans · 02/04/2020 19:14

Boots join the queue with us here Smile we love him to bits Grin

Mrsmadevans · 02/04/2020 19:42

Beef casserole very delish , l am full to bursting Grin
Have done enough for Mum and Bob's your father Grin

Mrsmadevans · 02/04/2020 20:01

Grin Grin that was my Dh portion Boot tbf he does love it vere much. He loves dumplings Grin

pussycatinboots · 02/04/2020 20:08

What man doesn't BlushWinkGrin

NoWordForFluffy · 02/04/2020 20:49

Woolly, yes, the bakery gave us about 3kg of flour and wouldn't take money for it! How lovely of them. ☺️

Mrs, what's happening with your DD's house purchase? Is it on hold? It's good she's keeping working.

I wouldn't want to be furloughed really, unless it actually paid a bit more as I earn more than the top level it pays out, so wouldn't be getting 80% of my salary. As the main earner that doesn't work for me, sadly. Though if it's that or redundancy, I'll take it!

That's a lot of stew! I love a dumpling too (not in the Carry On fashion Boots was referring to though!). Grin

TheWoollybacksWife · 02/04/2020 21:06

Oh that's fabulous Fluffy. I have enough of both flour and yeast for a couple of weeks I think. Hopefully the supply chain will settle down soon. The problem with home baked bread is that it gets eaten so quickly compared to the shop bought stuff so with 5 of us at home I'm baking at least every other day.

I love dumplings but they give DH indigestion so we don't have them very often. I think it's only the suet ones though - we had potato dumplings in Munich and Vienna last year without any ill effects. They were like huge gnocchis and were really lovely.

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 02/04/2020 21:09

Dumplings are amazing as is banana bread so once this is over I will be at Mrs' for dinner!!!

Tomorrow I will take a pic of the massive pile of clothes on the landing which still haven't made it to the charity shop to show you that my house is not that tidy Grin

Got my first early potatoes in the ground today :)

PJMasksGhekko · 02/04/2020 21:19

That's great fluffy!!

I have just finished a quiz that was set up for school workers, really enjoyed it, we came 15th, which we are very proud of, there was a picture of a famous person very young, it was obviously Kylie Minogue and I was right Grin

Your stew looks lovely Mrs Smile

My Mum's birthday present arrived today, she loves it Grin

Mrsmadevans · 02/04/2020 21:20

Grin @pussycatinboots
Woolly Dh loves them , l did a huge potful and he helped himself Grin
Fluffy yes Dd2 house is on hold atm, we are ok about it , everything will come to those that wait. STS Smile
That was so kind of the bakery to do that bless them!
Have got awful wind from the banana cake l think Grin serve me right for being a sclem Grin

Mrsmadevans · 02/04/2020 21:22

Ahh thank you PJ , Happy Birthday to your Mum Flowers WineCakeStar

Mrsmadevans · 02/04/2020 21:23

Most will send it to you by post Grin

CrazyBaubles · 02/04/2020 22:43

Wreck if it helps I know DH is really happy to have one of his class in the hub school because they need some additional support without being entitled to it so he's tailored some tasks / work for them specifically and is more than happy to provide more support.
While the schools are open at the moment they're not really teaching (here anyway, when DH was in last week they had 20 children from 4 different schools and aged between 5 and 11 so you can't really do lessons). It was reading, P.E, helping them with work they had been set by their own teacher, lots of play, art and film.

Firefly your DH has a very interesting job although not one I could do!

Fluffy I didn't know pay was capped for those on furlough!

Woolly I was debating buying a bread maker not long ago but decided against it because I'd eat loads of it and it doesn't agree with me (or my waistline)!

I am off to bed now. I finally got started on the bird - it has a head 😂 so will do the body tomorrow. It's a bit trial and error as I'm basically mashing together 2 patterns and a picture and making it up as I go but never mind. I'll post pics when the body is done.

Fingers crossed for some sleep tonight 🤞🏼

Well done fluffy! Last day of balancing work and childcare for 2 weeks :)

WreckTangled · 03/04/2020 07:24

Crazy that's all I want an hour a day of him having a teacher guide him with some maths etc would be great. I wouldn't want him to do any more but to not do any work at all wouldn't be good as obviously most children at home are doing work of some kind. I haven't heard anything about hubs round here I hope they don't do that Sad I'm also stressed because where I'm being sent to is an hour away, maybe 45 mins these days, with driving, parking and walking and that means I'll need to drop the dc and 8 and collect them at 3:45 but I don't know if they'll let me as that's outside of core hours. Although I could make start earlier and finish earlier that way DH could take them and I could collect them. Argh so much stress.

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 03/04/2020 08:29

Mrsmadevans · 03/04/2020 08:54
