@woodwaj ah sorry, I missed that. No HP fans here but I remembered there were people looking for stuff.

Ratbagcatbag · 06/07/2020 12:37

Place marking for later. :) I've just started my shopping so want to crack on a bit now. :)

Goldistheanswer · 06/07/2020 14:41

Place marking too.

WreckTangled · 06/07/2020 15:34

Contigo West Loop coffee mug is a fairly good price on Amazon at the moment. The blue one is only £15. Always recommended on here when people are looking for a decent travel mug.

Yeknom · 06/07/2020 16:38

@backatsquareone I really want that lego set for me Grin

Restlessinthenorth · 06/07/2020 16:47

@Kolo you are right. Hopefully our parcels will arrive soon. I'm really enjoying slowly buying stocking bits so they are all good quality!

Ratbagcatbag · 06/07/2020 17:26

Not quite an xmas one but I signed up to Freddie's Flowers last week with a voucher code so got a £25 box of flowers delivered today for free. They send you flowers every week for £25 per week.
You have to sign up, but once my flowers were out for delivery I emailed to close my account. So a nice huge bouquet. I have some free codes if anyone wants to do what I did and get some delivered in the next week or so and then cancel. :)

Restlessinthenorth · 06/07/2020 18:11

Thanks for the downton cluedo tip. Just purchased for best friends birthday as she loves games and also downton!

Givealittlebit · 06/07/2020 20:39

@FilthyforFirth

Fellow early preppers! How do you buy for others so early? I am always keen to start xmas shopping asap, but my rather large family dont and people are very against giving me ideas before end of Oct/Nov time sadly!

I have 12 neices and nephews to get for,but I dont want to just guess. Those who are buying now, are you left to your own devices re gifts or are your family more flexible than mine?!

I find I mainly get things for myself/house/DS off the back of these threads as opposed to the bulk of my xmas shopping!

This early on I tend to use the threads for stocking up my present box and so on, or getting bits I see that will be good for specific family members birthday/Christmas. However we only have a few kids in our family at the moment so thankfully the adults done change tastes much year to year!

Jungle jigsaw/book set £5.10 on Amazon.

Oliver Jeffers' Way Back Home board book £1.74 on Amazon

Dk20 · 06/07/2020 21:02

Joining the thread again, it suddenly stopped appearing in my 'I'm on'.
Going to pick up that puzzle set, thanks @someaddedsugar

Elpheba · 06/07/2020 21:09

Thanks for the book tip @Someaddedsugar buying one for the DC and one for the present drawer!

Riddlediddle · 06/07/2020 21:50

Feeling happy tonight as I've made a real good start on xmas and bday shopping for my ds (his bday is just before Xmas). Today I've bought:

  • Football shirt and training jacket from his favourite team = £48 saving from their flash one day sale
  • Selection of puzzle books and jigsaws from The Works. 20% off with the code 'CRAFT20' which saved me £7
  • Smiggle backpack and lunch box that had 25% off today so another big saving.

Happy happy Smile. Can't wait for the parcels to start arriving!

whatwillicallmyself · 06/07/2020 23:40

Hi everyone I see you have made a good start already. @Backatsquareone thanks for the Lego tip I just got one of those sets, it's a bit old for my 5 year old and a bit young for my 11 year old but I couldnt resist it it's so cute Smile.

Rebelwithallthecause · 07/07/2020 12:32

Place marking for later

sorryiasked · 07/07/2020 20:18

Harry Potter Uno down to £5.99 on Amazon which seems a good price.

Demogorgon · 07/07/2020 20:41

I’ve bought my first bargain of the year! I got some mason jars after checking out the Lisa Angel sale recommended above, they arrived today and are great for 50p each! Unfortunately it looks like they’re now sold out but they’re definitely worth checking out if they come back into stock. I have 30 people to buy an end of term gift for so it all adds up Gin

sorryiasked · 07/07/2020 21:16

I've just ordered several things from kidsstuffforless - some really nice activity/colouring books and a some xmas tags. Postage is £3.49 but still worth it for the bits I was getting. Good reviews. Thought I'd mention it as I hadn't come across the website before.

hermyweasley · 07/07/2020 21:34

Thanks for the kids for less recommendation- I've got some nice craft bits as a stocking filler :)

I also bought an Owleez from Smyths this week- down to £14.99 from £50 at Christmas - I think my son will like it!

hermyweasley · 07/07/2020 21:34

Also, the clearance section on Baker Ross has some great craft activities. The usual prices are cheap anyway, and they do some lovely bits and bobs that my 3 year old enjoys

No1fan2020 · 07/07/2020 21:42

We have a request for a barbie dream house because apparently Father Christmas can make anything. Does anyone know if it ever goes on offer? Black Friday maybe? I have never participated in Black Friday

Someaddedsugar · 08/07/2020 07:17

Amazon has 30% off some Lego Creations sets as part of the daily deals

Myhouse2011 · 08/07/2020 08:54

@Demogorgon Thanks for the Lisa Angel heads up Ive ordered lots for the gift drawer.

vroc81 · 08/07/2020 09:46
