Definitely not cheap by any stretch of the imagination but Elfie Letter bundles have added a refer a friend link on their website that gives you a voucher for 20% of the value of the referred person’s purchase. You can put several vouchers together to potentially get free letters.

Mine have outgrown this kind of thing now so I’m not going to bother generating a link, but I have to say that the letters are absolutely gorgeous.

@torthecatlady
Depending on how much you want to spend, you could get anything from Mario colouring books/sticker books/t-shirts to Mario knex sets, all on Amazon. Your ds sounds very similar to mine with his interests and I have these bits on the Amazon list for ds. His birthday is in September and the Mario Lego needs to be pre-ordered here too.
I also got the playmobil space set that was on offer on Amazon.

NerosFiddle · 22/06/2020 07:47

There were really nice letters from Santa last year. I can't remember where they were from. Can anyone else?

Stompythedinosaur · 22/06/2020 10:24

Nero was it the Elfie Christmas letters?

internationalelfservice.com/shop/product/personalised-elfies-christmas-elf-letters/

I'd like to order again but wondering if there's going to be a discount code.

AnnieSaxophone · 22/06/2020 10:40

@Stompythedinosaur I've just emailed them and they're going to email a pre-order discount for the Christmas letters in the next month. I can't wait to see this years Elfie letters!

NerosFiddle · 22/06/2020 11:32

That's them. Thank you. I'll send them an email now too.

Stompythedinosaur · 22/06/2020 11:45

Thanks Anne that's really helpful.

torthecatlady · 22/06/2020 12:59

@Dk20 Thanks for the suggestions! I've ordered a couple of (unofficial) Mario books. One colouring and one activity. Bonus was that I had a gift certificate on my account so it worked out just over £3 for the two of them.

Unfortunately, dss has declared that he is "too big" to play with Playmobil, otherwise the space set would have been great Grin

My Holland and Barrett raw inventions ultimate create your own beauty products arrived. Wow, an absolute bargain for £15 (originally £50 when it first came out). You get so much for your money and all the bottles,labels etc and all natural/recyclable. I've just ordered another! So big thanks for that tip!

Notasyoungasiwas · 22/06/2020 19:25

I've ordered two of those as gifts Mrsfussypants1, can't wait!

CottonHeadedNinnyMug · 23/06/2020 07:20

The Lisa Angel summer sale is on, if you sort by discount high to low, you can see the real bargains.

Ewock · 23/06/2020 08:00

MrsFussypants would you say it is good for any age? I was thinking my sis who is 45 and possibly a gift for my colleague. Thanks

Mrsfussypants1 · 23/06/2020 08:13

It's for any age and great for anyone who likes natural products and to have a bit of fun getting creative. You can add all sorts of ingredients to personalise it, one reviewer add a bit of her fav lipstick to give the lip balm a hint of colour. It's a really lovely set. Again, thank you iamsorry for the original link.

Mrsfussypants1 · 23/06/2020 08:14

Ps, ive bought it for my 24yr old daughter and one for secret Santa at work (all female over 30s).

Dk20 · 23/06/2020 08:17

Thinking of getting DP one of the Hugo Boss watches that are half price on Amazon. He always really liked them but as he would only wear a watch one day a week, we couldn't justify spending that much on it.
I've been doing a lot of impulse buying (out of boredom) lately so I'm going to have a think about it before buying.

Fuckingfuckssake · 23/06/2020 10:43

Jumped on the Raw Inventions bandwagon! I've just ordered 2, if you download the app you get 15% off your first order and I qualified for free delivery even though the discount brought my spend below £30.

Clevererthanyou · 23/06/2020 13:23

LOL doll (lights series) down from £11 to £8 on Amazon. I tracked it in CamelCamelCamel and it’s a decent price. Still £11.97 in my local Asda.

Shantotto · 23/06/2020 14:30

@CottonHeadedNinnyMug

Thanks for Lisa Angel tip got some lovely Christmas decorations!

Ewock · 23/06/2020 15:06

Thanks everyone. I ordered 2 of the Raw inventions and following the tip about using the app and getting 15% discount it came to £25.50 with free delivery! A great price. Now I need to decide if they are both gifts for others or keep 1 as a gift for me Wink

CottonHeadedNinnyMug · 23/06/2020 17:15

Also another mention of the Rex London sale, the sale kids section is great for stocking fillers that aren't plastic...

sorryiasked · 23/06/2020 18:43

I should not have browsed the lisa angel sale!
I ordered the man stuff advent calendar, the mad beauty advent calendar and the frosted pine cone Garland Blush

Emiliemoo · 23/06/2020 18:49

@CottonHeadedNinnyMug

Thank you! Just bought loads of presents (and a couple of things for me!)

BadgerFace · 23/06/2020 22:26

Ooooh, I don’t think I’ve been on an Xmas prequel thread before - hi everyone! And I have never started my Christmas shopping before August. And I have just browsed the Lisa Angel sale for the first time and bought loads of goodies.

How have I never looked at Lisa Angel in the seven years I’ve been on these threads?!?!

Lockdown has some upsides it seems... 🎄

Bluewavescrashing · 24/06/2020 16:05

Any recommendations for chillys type water bottles? Doesn't have to be that brand but the same style and preferably blue or purple. Thanks

sorryiasked · 24/06/2020 19:12

Can't remember who wanted top trumps - whsmith have them for £4.99 but they're buy one get one half price.
