Another thanks for the H&B link sorryiasked, that's my teenage neices sorted.

CottonHeadedNinnyMug · 19/06/2020 22:09

Thank you for the Geek Store tip, I got the star wars candles (a new hope) for DH and for DB - add the 'lids' for free. There's also 8% cashback through topcashback at geekstore.

torthecatlady · 20/06/2020 01:20

I've ordered these for dss for his August birthday, there's a 5% discount code, so they're only £9.50 and are great for plugging into the tablet or switch. I think they're expandable too so hopefully we'll get a few years out of them. There's other colours too.

@Mrsfussypants1 thank you. It’s not giving me Childrens wear and home wear on either type of view, never mind, stops me spending! I actually placed a large order of children’s clearance just before lockdown but it got cancelled. I was gutted as I’d near enough sorted ds clothes for next winter.

Mrsfussypants1 · 20/06/2020 08:26

it's a shame you can't get on it Pink, Next haven't made it easy, and it's by accident I've found it. I've been back on this morning to check again how I did it and I have to double tap the clearance at the right. It's such a shame you didn't get your order at the start of lockdown, I try and buy for following year in the sales for my grandaughter as I buy most of her clothes. I've got an M&S girls red dinosaur duvet coat I bought for £2.90 2 summers ago for this winter in the spare wardrobe, along with startrite school shoes in the next few sizes i picked up for £12. If your up for visiting a shop Next did have a bit left in the sale, ours was quite.

sorryiasked · 20/06/2020 08:41

@PinkDaydreams I had to select the desk top site and then click on the red clearance banner that is at the top of the page before I could see the other options.

lankylemon · 20/06/2020 08:42

@Emiliemoo

In the Christmas bargain 2019 threads there were a few recommendations for wireless earphones. I didn't pay much attention as i had no need for them at the time but dh has just requested them for his birthday. I'm going to try and look through some old threads but if anyone knows or can recommend any, i would be very grateful
I’ve got some PowerLocus ones - about £25 on amazon and they work really well.
PinkDaydreams · 20/06/2020 09:09

@sorryiasked @Mrsfussypants1 eventually got on after much refreshing and flicking between desk top site and mobile site, thank you both! Unfortunately there’s hardly any boys, I was hoping to re order my large order but I’ve left it too late now. Kicking myself as I’ve been checking every day since the website allowed orders again and presumed that not all of the clearance part of the warehouse was open and that’s why I couldn’t see children/home. Never mind!

Mrsfussypants1 · 20/06/2020 09:14

Pink that's such a shame, Next haven't made it easy at all to find it.

PowerslidePanda · 20/06/2020 15:35

I know that Argos clearance toys have already been mentioned on this thread, but just wanted to make everyone aware that they've extended what's included. There were a couple of toys I had my eye on that were full price when the sale started but have now been reduced (33% and 25%)

Scanner20 · 20/06/2020 16:05

I agree, the Argos sale has been so good. They seem to add to it each week. Got quite a few toys in there for my DD all half price or less.

Bluewavescrashing · 20/06/2020 17:17

I'm looking for a boxed set of wooden donut play food toys if anyone spots a bargain please.

hoopdeloop · 21/06/2020 07:24

Amazon’s deal of the day is some playmobil, they have the space rocket for half price

redorbed · 21/06/2020 08:54

Another deal of the day £30 off fire kids tablet :)

I picked this up this morning, that's the first thing bought for ds (6)
Jfw82 · 21/06/2020 09:47

Boden have extra 10% off sale today (6T2C) if not automatically applied on website and sale has some quite good reductions and includes some of the Harry Potter range (and extra 10% works on those items too)

MrsCrimbo74 · 21/06/2020 11:03

Good morning lovely people, I know someone mentioned Regatta had a sale on earlier in the thread, but just to make you aware they also have an Outlet Page with some good bargains on

RoseBlush1 · 21/06/2020 13:38

New to this site and this thread but thanks for the Geek Store tip bought a few things reduced that are great wee gifts!

Bluewavescrashing · 21/06/2020 16:27

I've been really pleased with my Regatta buys. Very cheap but good quality gloves and hats for stockings. Lots of things for me too Blush the clothing has a 12 month guarantee which is good, you just register each item online when it arrives.

Mrsfussypants1 · 21/06/2020 16:30

Aldi have some fab craft things in right now, great for rainy day activities or Christmas. Make & design super hero cape & mask set £5.99 is fab, also comes in butterfly or mermaid costume. Design a sock puppet (various designs £3.99). Have to say superhero cape went down very well with grandaughter today.

torthecatlady · 21/06/2020 17:04

Dss' birthday is in August and we have absolutely no clue what to buy for him. For Christmas he has asked for a loft bed so that's easy!

So far we have the headphones I previously mentioned on the thread to use with his Switch and a Nintendo Mario Lego set (on pre-order). So I just need some smaller gift ideas as add ons for his birthday and Christmas...

Background - He will be 9, but acts very young and has a low reading ability - however he is very creative.

He likes Lego, Mario (Nintendo), the solar system, drawing, Minecraft and Fortnite. He used to like Pokemon, but he seems to have gone off it.

We have lots of board games which he enjoys playing and happy to add to if anyone can think of any. I'm looking out for Junior Monopoly still, but we have most of the classics.

Bluewavescrashing · 21/06/2020 18:44

Top trumps are always a hit here!

sorryiasked · 21/06/2020 19:24

@torthecatlady hobbycraft have some sun catchers, paint your own bird box/money box/garden gnome, make bouncy ball kits.

torthecatlady · 21/06/2020 21:14

@Bluewavescrashing We have about 10 decks of top trumps here and dss shows zero interest in playing them, although Dh and I played a game earlier with "Star Wars: Rogue One" which I found in Poundland for £2 recently.

@sorryiasked Craft stuff could be a good shout, we recently painted canvases with acrylic paints as a lockdown activity. Do "Blo-pens" still exist? I had loads of fun with those as a kid! Off to google.

Bluewavescrashing · 21/06/2020 21:41

Ah, shame. We love top trumps but only have two packs, another thing I'm looking for actually!
