I got some great bargains at Regatta too. Thank you!

Two relatives would like Jo Malone products. They sometimes do a free gift, don't they? Any idea when the next event will be?

Barbararara · 23/05/2020 20:18

@Bluewavescrashing I think Jo Malone did an offer last year around this time but I’m not sure. I think it was around the 25th May last year. They definitely did one in November - free gift with a £100 spend. It’s a lucky dip so some gifts are better than others. I got a free candle and bought two more so a third off each which was pretty good.

Bluewavescrashing · 23/05/2020 23:52

Ooh thank you. I just looked at Jo Malone online and got two free gifts with a cologne. Mini cologne and mini body cream. So all in a gift box they are a more substantial gift. Result!

Would anybody happen to have a Schuh student code that they can share with me? Does it work on sale items?

TIA

catanddogmake6 · 24/05/2020 22:09

No idea what type of Christmas we will be enjoying but starting on children’s stocking fillers - always a form of distraction. Typo have 30% off this weekend for older stocking fillers.

gaggiagirl · 24/05/2020 22:46

I'm going to add to my Spode Christmas tree dinner set this year. I'm patiently waiting for a bargain on the cereal bowls!

sorryiasked · 25/05/2020 08:33

@gaggiagirl Ecookshop still have them at 60% off

gaggiagirl · 25/05/2020 08:40

runningpink · 25/05/2020 09:37

Does anyone remember the hot chocolate bombs from last year? I can't remember how much they were but this set comes with reusable moulds, I just can't decide if it's very expensive for what it is at £16?

NerosFiddle · 25/05/2020 10:52

@tabbycat985 it's coming up at £11 now

tabbycat985 · 25/05/2020 11:00

@NerosFiddle Sorry, I was including the postage which is almost £5😳

NerosFiddle · 25/05/2020 11:02

@tabbycat985 £5 for postage! That alone would put me off.

StarDanced · 25/05/2020 18:54

The Disney store has 20% of selected toys with the code MAGIC20. However when I used it earlier today it took 20% of an item of clothing and one playset that was not part of the offer. Might be worth trying the code even if you're not ordering toys.

MrsCrimbo74 · 26/05/2020 10:23

30% off at Nike with code NIKE30

PrincessLayer · 26/05/2020 18:18

If you have teens to buy for who like makeup, this set is a bargain. I've paid £33 Inc postage for a £178 bundle. I'll take out a few bits for myself then divide the younger looking bits for nieces.

Barbararara · 27/05/2020 14:12

MAY70 gives 70% off at www.drbotanicals.com
There’s no soap bars popping up this time like there were at Christmas, sadly.
You have to click “checkout” and on the next page “show order summary” to see the discount.

Barbararara · 27/05/2020 14:19

@tabbycat985 the moulds look very similar to plastic refillable baubles I’ve bought in the craft section. I tried making chocolate bombs with them and it’s harder than it looks. You need good quality chocolate and have to temper it to get it nice and crisp and for it to shrink off the bauble properly.
So I don’t think it’s worth the money or the hassle sorrySmile

tabbycat985 · 27/05/2020 20:11

@Barbararara That's so helpful thank you, I'm glad I asked now! I was living in hope because we have a gelatine allergy in the house, was hoping I could fill with some vegan marshmallows.

NerosFiddle · 28/05/2020 13:41

Got this email from m&s for anyone who is doing a beauty advent calendar.

Good bargains on mini Boden for clothes. I got a £10 gift voucher in my email inbox too, worth looking at as I got 3 items for £30 Inc delivery.

Focusanddetermination · 28/05/2020 18:20

What so you buy for kids when they are around 7? My daughter is an only child, I feel she already has so much, there is very little she might want or need for xmas/birthdays. She has tons sylvanians and playmobil, craft stuff, games... A lot of it decent second hand quality. I don't want her to not have anything but also don't like buying for the sake of it. Before the Virus I was thinking of getting her a passport and taking her somewhere instead, not sure that idea will work as well anymore.

PinkDaydreams · 28/05/2020 18:58

@Focusanddetermination this thread is for gifts for adults as well as children

sorryiasked · 28/05/2020 19:04

@Focusanddetermination how about a camera?
