Sorry, not caught up at all with last thread because of a germy family. I’m figuring this will be the thread with Christmas on though!

No links etc because I’m figuring you know it all now and we’re so nearly there!

Happy Christmas everyone 🎄☃️❄️🎅🏻

@tabbycat985 what about scratch cards? I'm actually doing these this year instead of crackers... I've got these little clip stands to hold name place cards so am going to clip a scratch card to each one too.

Any bargains to be had on a kanken? Dd really doesn't have as much as I thought and she'd love one but I'm not really sure where to look. Any advice?

@milkfloatmama We have Balsalm Hill Christmas tree. I watched for a whole year before I bought one and they were pretty much permanently on sale. It’s lovely though

Thanks for the tea set recs. Had a look at Asda tonight but the cups didnt have handles on the set I found.

Unfortunately can't get to Wilkos in time to look and we don't have a tiger near us.
Its either going to be an Amazon job or give them some of their own usual bowls and plates to play with and keep an eye on sales.

Hi, this isn’t a bargain, but a question. I bought the personalised Santa sacks and put some stuff in them yesterday, but the mess! They’re shedding little fibres and I’ve had to lint roll the clothes, everything the bag had touched. I’m slightly gutted as the sacks are beautiful, but don’t think they should do that - did yours?

I’m considering hovering them and rolling over with lint roller again, but think they might need lining and I’ve no time to do that before Christmas Eve! Anyone had similar experience and if so how did you resolve it? Thanks.

@Daphine2004 Could you pop a pillowcase inside as a temporary measure? Or a pound shop sack? I don’t have them so not sure of size.

Emma bridgewater has 30% off Christmas patterned bits, not sure if that stacks with thethe new customer 15% offer. Possibly can't get delivered for this year but might be worth stashing for next.

What about if you take the sacks outside and shake/bang them until all the loose fibres fly off?

@sepsisandAKI thanks, I've had a look at the Lidl one on sale from Sunday, £19.99. I'm gonna get that.
For anyone wondering what cheese to buy if you can't get the raclette cheese, I bought pre sliced Masdaam and Gouda. The Masdaam doesn't go as runny as the Gouda but they both work ok. Some of us preferred the 'gummy' texture of the Masdaam whilst others preferred the more runny Gouda.

Earlier I asked about a fleecy hoodie thing similar to an oodie. I got the JML one in Asda half price at £14.97.

Going into town soon on my hunt for the metal head massager thing. I’ll try the pound shops, anymore suggestions please as to where I can find one? Menkind didn’t have any.

Other cheese to try for raclette apart from Comte, Gouda or Gryuere is Port Salut if you like more runny result. Great on small steamed potatoes or cornichons.

My urgent request - does anyone know where in London (no time for online delivery) I can get good quality cellophane bags with flat bottoms (with this carton square at the bottom)? I have baked lots of different cookies to give to neighbours and friends and was sure I had those bags. Can’t find them anywhere. Must find them today in real shops. Lakeland has some but not exactly flat bottomed. Any ideas wise mumsnetters, please??
