I went last night. I was in Marks at 7.45 then in Morrisons by just after 8. Home and all unpacked before 9. Both shops were deserted. I think there can't have been more than half a dozen other people in Morrisons. And I got everything I needed. I feel smug and chilled now.

Food delivery came this morning. I wanted tomorrow but forgot to book my slot early enough. Picked the meat up yesterday so apart from the odd thing I’ve forgotten (which I can get from the co-op) I’m pretty much sorted 👍🏻

Funnyface1 · 22/12/2019 15:52

I'm going for my last little bits on Monday afternoon but I've got all the main, most important things so I'm not worried. Also won't be in a rush so doesn't matter too much if it's busy.

SweetPeaPods · 23/12/2019 06:40

I’m about to brave Supermarket now. Went to M&S yesterday morning when they opened and it was horrendous. So busy they had to close the shop! Anything I can’t get this morning at least I know I can probably pick up tomorrow when I collect my meat from the farm.

Clangus00 · 23/12/2019 06:57

Went this morning. Left at 4:30 back at 5:45 (20 minute journey time).
It was bliss.

MsJaneAusten · 23/12/2019 06:58

Now! I’m still in bed having coffee though. Your lists are panicking me. Maybe I should have got up an hour ago.

Pyjamaface · 23/12/2019 07:01

Now as well! Aldi opens at 8 and I'll be there waiting for them. Deep breaths and elbows sharpened

kevintheorangecarrot · 23/12/2019 07:03

Not until after Christmas after what I witnessed yesterday. I tried to go Aldi and the car park was heaving.

IamChipmunk · 23/12/2019 07:03

Im goin to Aldi this morning. Going to drop dd at nursery at 8 then go straight there, although I don't a massive shop so not anticipating issues.
I've got most of the cheese board already in the fridge!

RingtheBells · 23/12/2019 07:05

Got pretty much all of my fresh stuff at M&S and Waitrose yesterday as DH was with me, have to pop to Waitrose this afternoon to pick up last minute JL present so will go round with a basket for anything else I missed.

Kobrakid · 23/12/2019 07:07

Was in Asda for 5.10 back home 6.20 but the car park had really filled up a lot during the hour I was inside.

MrsPnut · 23/12/2019 07:11

My delivery is coming between 8 and 9 this morning and will pick up anything else when I collect my meat order tomorrow morning.

Gonewiththemadness · 23/12/2019 20:38

This morning was manic!
We got there later than planned. Around 9am. Our local supermarket played “checkout bingo” while people were waiting though and my 2 boys won! A selection box and a chocolate Santa! Really raised spirits and I thought it was a lovely idea.
Had to pop into a tesco this afternoon though while out and about for some olive oil and eggs as I’d forgotten them (around 4pm) and it was no busier than a normal day! Strange!

CrowleysBentley · 24/12/2019 08:20

Shopping done at just after 6 this morning. Sainsburys was empty, got everything I wanted apart from cherry brandy and dark chocolate Lindor, neither of which are exactly essential. Just have to pick up the M&S order at 9, then I'm all done.

Lordfrontpaw · 24/12/2019 08:42

6am 😱

Lovemusic33 · 24/12/2019 08:55

I hope the shops are not too busy today. Don’t need a big shop but need calpol and a bottle of baileys 😂, I don’t want to get stuck amongst people doing their big shop.

Megan2018 · 24/12/2019 09:04

Ver impressed, both Ocado deliveries spot on, one substitution of small bottles of tonic instead of big, an extra £5 but easier than going out. Long dates on all the fresh.

I did pop to Aldi yesterday for 3 things and it was dead. I still forgot peanuts but not going out again as we are a long way from any shops.
Christmas is go here! Grin

CrowleysBentley · 24/12/2019 09:39

@Lordfrontpaw it was worth it, the shop was empty so I whizzed round and got pretty much everything, and now I have a decent excuse for going back to bed for a bit Grin
