Smoked salmon and avocado on toast. My nephew sprinkles his with capers because he's weird.

fruityconfusedhotdog · 16/12/2019 19:13

@DreamingofSunshine Iceland have them, as do Asda Grin

tempnamechange98765 · 16/12/2019 21:23

Smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, and English muffins and Buck's Fizz. Nice and early so we're good and hungry for pre dinner nibbles at my DParents' house. DS1 is almost 4 and a fantastic eater so he will probably have the same (minus the Buck's Fizz). DS2 will be 10 months so he'll probably have his usual mashed banana and weetabix!

Slavedrivers · 18/12/2019 20:52

Premade pancakes Blush with Nutella, squirty cream and strawberries/banana. Fizzy orange as per Christmas tradition.

Usually it's crusty bread and chunks of the Xmas ham but I promised pancakes this year, mostly because they also take no prep or cooking. Grin

UndertheCedartree · 18/12/2019 20:57

Pastries and bucks fizz

Selection of pastries, fruit salad and a glass of oj this year. We always have a good breakfast before we open any presents- stockings included. Builds up the excitement, knowing he has been but having To wait just a little longer

CantKeepSecrets · 18/12/2019 21:20

I usually make Christmas themed pancakes (sounds so much better than it looks Grin) so last year I did a santa face with strawberries , banana, pancake and some cream .

A bit naff but we love it.

MamaWeasel · 18/12/2019 21:22

Another one for pastries and bucks fizz - first year for us. We usually hqve a full english but then are not hungry for lunch especially considering the chocolate that we will also consume

Lozz22 · 18/12/2019 21:32

Probably a bacon butty and glass of Buck's Fizz. Although now I'm quite fancying pork pie instead

mumwon · 18/12/2019 21:42

fresh fruit salad (pineapple melon tangerines grapes mango strawberries etc) with Greek yogurt followed by croissants & tea(leaves not bags) or filter coffee (we do a big bowl of mixed fruit in apple juice & serve ourselves) if anybody wants they can have porridge with (Tate & Lyle from a tin!!!) golden syrup. I tend to stick with fruit & yogurt & tea

mininionsteve · 19/12/2019 10:08

Pandoro, tea and Buck's Fizz. Although I'm pregnant so it will have to be orange and lemonade this year!

Ninkanink · 19/12/2019 11:12

We’re having scrambled eggs and smoked salmon on toasted breakfast muffins, plus pandoro and Prosecco, or Buck’s Fizz.

reginafelangee · 19/12/2019 11:13

Full Scottish:

Bacon, square sausage, black pudding, potato scone, eggs.

Plus beans for English husband.

Pegase · 19/12/2019 11:21

Everyone wants something different but we are at family for Christmas dinner so I have consented to cook three breakfasts!
-smoked salmon and scrambled eggs for me
-eggs Benedict for DH
-pastries for DD

Ninkanink · 19/12/2019 11:23

I keep wanting to try Nigella’s Christmas muffins. Maybe I should do them for Boxing Day this year.

merryhouse · 19/12/2019 11:52

Pork pie! (are you all from Leicestershire too?) and a cup of tea.

(assuming we aren't too hungover of course... last year I ate the pork pie at 1pm Grin)

Satsuma and chocolate coins (so I can pretend I had a stocking) and some coffee.

Older son will have a cooked breakfast with his fellow choral scholars; younger son will eat something with his granny, not sure what possibly pastries.

When we had Christmas Day at home it was croissants and smoked salmon and Buck's Fizz (or soft equivalent).

WutheringTights · 19/12/2019 12:45

Rice crispies for the kids, they've got it into their heads that they're a Christmas treat. Shhh. Crown Grin And a selection box.

We'll have chocolate and Nigella's Christmas morning muffins. Maybe a mince pie.

Two days a year the kids are allowed chocolate for breakfast: Christmas and Easter. No way could I disappoint them.

SuzieBishop · 19/12/2019 13:40

Love this kind of thread - we’re having toast with smashed avocado, poached egg & smoked salmon with Buck’s Fizz!! So excited!!

caperplips · 19/12/2019 13:50

We have coffee / biscuits / cake at 8am / 9am when we wake up and open presents.

Full cooked breakfast with bubbles / bucks fizz at around 11am. Lots more coffee, perhaps a nip of baileys in it

Dinner at 7pm

Ftumch · 19/12/2019 13:55

Chocolate pannetone, fruit, coffee and orange juice. This year we have to drive to family, so no bucks fizz Xmas Sad

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 19/12/2019 13:56

Dh is responsible for Christmas morning breakfast - he's doing scrambled duck eggs on toast, with smoked salmon. A nice treat but not too filling.

Santasy · 19/12/2019 14:03

Porridge! Same as every morning. I plan every year to do something fancy but the rest of the family love their healthy morning porridge and will only entertain the idea of something different after their porridge...by which time they are too full of course.

I think I need to let this planning go and live my exciting breakfast filled life vicariously through this thread Xmas Grin

WeirdPookah · 19/12/2019 16:03

Fresh homemade sausage rolls.

When I was little we would help ourselves to them while my parents fed the animals and goats and its become something to pass onto my children despite only having an elderly cat to feed!

speakout · 19/12/2019 16:04

Bacon rolls and coffee.
