Kids will have Xmas tree crumpets with chocolate spread, DP will have his normal weetabix and I'm having pate on toast.

Full fry up boxing day morning

Coffeeandcrumpet · 15/12/2019 21:32

I have promised the kids we will have a huge stack of home made pancakes this year. Dh will have smoked salmon bagels and pinch pancakes no doubt

Lovelyjubbly45 · 15/12/2019 21:35

I do a Nutella puff pastry Christmas tree thing, nice orange juice and pints of fresh coffee for me and dp!

Gonewiththemadness · 15/12/2019 22:17

I’ll be doing eggs benedict (with a fancy shop bought sauce I found as I mess it up every time!) with champagne and orange juice. I expect my youngest DS will have it without the sauce and just orange juice obviously for him and eldest DS (10 and 13). That is if they can fit it in after their stocking sweets (I’m pretty laid back on what they can eat on Christmas Day).
In fact 2 years ago my youngest DS ate so much chocolate he was sick but he was convinced it was the 1 Brussels sprout he’d tried hours before hand 😂.

Bunnylady53 · 15/12/2019 22:59

Varies - sometimes we’ll have smoked salmon & cream cheese bagels, some years pastries & occasionally porkpie ( when I was a kid we always had porkpie with a mug of milk).

LookMoreCloselier · 16/12/2019 00:35

Pain au Chocolat for kids, eggs Benedict for us. Fresh orange and coffee 😁

Deelish75 · 16/12/2019 01:17

Coffee, weetabix, pastries (croissants with jam and pain au chocolates), orange juice and champagne.

Boholady · 16/12/2019 07:15

Usually I toast slices of panettone and serve with Greek yoghurt, raspberries and a dusting of icing sugar.
But this year I've bought a brioche loaf and thought I might make French toast and serve as above. Also have some Nigella Christmas muffins in the freezer but will probably break those out on Boxing Day.
Orange juice or prosecco and pomegranate juice to drink.

fruityconfusedhotdog · 16/12/2019 07:30

Last few years we've had the most amazing Christmas-tree shaped brioche thing, but can't find it anywhere this year! So I think toasted panettone with berries instead.I've got Christmas-tree shaped crumpets as well. Fresh orange juice and nice coffee.

By a slightly odd tradition, DS (3) gets a banana (as well as a satsuma) in his stocking so he'll have that as wellGrin

Pipandmum · 16/12/2019 07:35

We eat Christmas 'lunch' at 5.30, so start off with french toast and bacon after opening presents. After that I don't feel like eating while cooking so it sustains everyone.

TheGirlFromStoryville · 16/12/2019 07:49

Pastries for the children.
Strong coffee for DH and I.

I can't eat in the mornings though I will probably have a hot honey and lemon drink for an energy boost while I prep the food.

Wildorchidz · 16/12/2019 07:58

We have dinner at about 5pm so a decent breakfast is required. Smoked salmon features along with a fry up.

FlashingFedora · 16/12/2019 08:00

We don't do Christmas lunch here, it's Christmas dinner around 5pm so breakfast will be either croissants with scrambled egg and tomato or French toast with bacon and syrup. No lunch though just some snacks.

mincepiemaven · 16/12/2019 09:12

The plan is to make those lovely cinnamon buns. We usually switch between smoked salmon and scrambled eggs (which tbh I'm the only fan of) and sausage sandwiches.

mincepiemaven · 16/12/2019 09:13

Oh and rum in my coffee. That is THE smell OF Christmas Day morning to me.

BlastEndedSkrewt · 16/12/2019 09:13

smoked salmon, scrambled eggs, coffee & bucks fizz

NataliaOsipova · 16/12/2019 09:18

About 12 cups of tea. And a couple of those mini Lebkuchen things which are my particular downfall....

Oysterbabe · 16/12/2019 09:20

Smoked salmon, Bagels and bucks fizz here.

MiniMum97 · 16/12/2019 17:47

Scrambled egg and salmon and Buck's Fizz. Yum.

Cineraria · 16/12/2019 18:00

We'll have a dairy free brioche loaf waiting for us in the breadmaker when we get up if all goes well. We have some Christmas jam, clementine juice and coffee with it. DSes will have some of their usual Weetabix with Oatly and ground pumpkin seeds first and DH has chocolate granola. I'll have a nice strong plain black coffee and DH will have an iced mocha.

Cloudyyy · 16/12/2019 18:02

Pork pie is such a brilliant idea!! I haven’t had one in years, what are you eating with it for breakfast?

CaptainMyCaptain · 16/12/2019 18:05

Bagels with cream cheese and smoked salmon. No alcohol because we'll both have to drive.

EnglishRose1320 · 16/12/2019 18:08

Helpfully Father Christmas puts a mini box of the ds' favourite sugary cereal (only allowed on birthdays and Christmas) and a cereal bar in the stockings.

Oh will probably have smoked salmon.

I'll get in some nice juices to go with it.

DreamingofSunshine · 16/12/2019 18:09

Where can I get Christmas tree crumpets???
