Tree shaped crumpets and that awful cereal with marshmallows in for the kids(they've never had it before and will be super surprised I bought it). Bucks fizz!

cushioncovers · 15/12/2019 20:07

Cereal probably 🤷🏻‍♀️ I've never really had a special Christmas breakfast. As a kid it was usually chocolate.

FiveNightsAtMummys · 15/12/2019 20:08

Nothing too filling we wouldn't have room for xmas dinner! Prob pate on toast, christmas chocolates and several cups of tea!

GoingBackTo505 · 15/12/2019 20:08

Smoked salmon and cream cheese bagels and lots of Buck's Fizz!

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 15/12/2019 20:08

We always make sure the DSs have a mini stollen or mini panettone in their stockings to have with a cup of tea for breakfast. I have Babycham and Matchmakers, DH usually has a pork pie and a vat of coffee.

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 15/12/2019 20:08

Something small like a small bacon butty or a crumpet. We eat at 2 and there's no way I'd be hungry if we'd had a full English. Kids get cereal or toast early plus whatever they fancy treat wise.

georgialondon · 15/12/2019 20:16

Croissants, coffee, champagne and chocolates

AlohaMolly · 15/12/2019 20:16

All of you that are having pastries - do you buy fresh on Christmas Eve? How does it work?? Buy and then freeze? I want pastries!!

oohnicevase · 15/12/2019 20:17

We don't have breakfast .. only eat one meal on xmas day around 3 pm .

Boots20 · 15/12/2019 20:17

I'll have my usual breakfast, slice of wholemeal toast, m & s chilli jam on it with smoked salmon & a poached egg, OH & kids will have same but bacon in place of smoked salmon

AnnoyingSatsumaInMyStocking · 15/12/2019 20:19

Pastries are either from Costco on Xmas Eve, or my favourite - frozen bake at home pastries from Waitrose.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 15/12/2019 20:19

Smoked salmon and scrambled eggs plus Buck’s Fizz. Kids usually have cereal because we learned the hard way to make them eat something before letting the present-opening begin!

Parker231 · 15/12/2019 20:22

Selection boxes

pissedoffwithprojects · 15/12/2019 20:25

M&S also have frozen pastries and I think maybe Tesco too. I've not tried them before but that's what we are doing this year. Previously we've had the Jus-Rol ones you make up and bake. They've been pretty good but feeling even lazier this year!

HeyMicky · 15/12/2019 20:25

Croissants and champagne

jocktamsonsbairn · 15/12/2019 20:35

As a child my dad was always sent outside (or under the open garage door if raining) to bbq a fry up on Xmas morning! Think it was mums way to get him out the kitchen! Now we do rolls with square slice sausage, black pudding or bacon (or a combo) or smoked salmon and scrambled egg. Or if you are DS all of the above! We eat our starter about 4 and main around 5 as my parents prefer it that way.

Lovelyjubbly45 · 15/12/2019 21:11

OMG Are we the only ones then to do the full works? (Must be the Irish in us) x x (perhaps I’ll do a side order of pastries and fizz to fit in with the rest of u!

Dd and I had hot cross buns last year!!!

Goldenphoenix · 15/12/2019 21:22

We have bake at home pastries (frozen from Tesco) with fresh oj and a huge pot of tea. It's my family tradition to have ham and fried egg so I will have that too

Musicalmistress · 15/12/2019 21:23

Kedgeree with Scottish smoked haddock & fresh eggs... yum!

SpeckledyHen · 15/12/2019 21:24

Quality Street and coffee .

katewhinesalot · 15/12/2019 21:25

Smoked salmon and scrambled eggs.

Shoeshow · 15/12/2019 21:26

Fry up here too!

80sMum · 15/12/2019 21:26

A mug of black coffee and maybe a small bowl of cereal. Same as usual.

BinkySodPlop · 15/12/2019 21:27

Selection box and gin. Probably followed by a piece of toast and a huge mug of coffee, as I can't manage all day drinking these days? 😀
