I can’t believe that my question about cheese fondue has led to so many people buying raclettes!!!
I have had a good look and think fondue is still the way to go for me as it is only for dd - the rest of us are not big eaters of cheese. Going to go to shops tomorrow and try to hunt one down!

Tape dispenser on its way to me. Wanted one for years, not sure why I've never actually bought one before. While ordering I spotted original sellotape on Amazon for £1 a roll as an add-on so chucked a couple of those in my basket too coz it can be so expensive.

Re Raclette we buy the cheese when we go to France and freeze it. Realise this won’t be an option for everyone...

Weak contribution but I went to Lidl on Saturday and they had masses of nice Reece’s peanut butter cup selection boxes for fans me, plus some very nice secret Santa type boxes eg run and Coke with a glass, Brandy tasting box etc

@EachandEveryone sometime started a thread specifically for info regarding the hampers from Highland gift company so if you ordered it may be useful. As of the weekend no one had received a hamper, lots of comments on their Facebook page from the company and people who had bought the hampers plus from people they owe money to. They were offering refunds not sure if that's still correct. No one was sure what was happening.

Re. Nike.com. Afraid DEC20 is only valid if you buy 3 full price items. But big thank you to recklessgran and mumk1 for sending me codes to use. Really appreciate it.

Just to note, the Aldi set has 8 pans and is £19.99. It’s rectangular, The Robert Dyas set has 6 pans and is circular.

There were lots of sets yesterday in my local Aldi. I think a lot of people have no idea what they are. Everyone we’ve ever invited for a raclette evening hasn’t heard of them. On skiing holidays it’s usually a big block of hot cheese which is sliced onto your plate. Our family is German so have been using a raclette for years. Waitrose is another place that often has sliced raclette.

They are fun to use and dead easy for a dinner party as all you do is open packets and slice some raw vegetables! Add some bread, salad and boiled new potatoes. Easy peasy!

I was the original raclette person! PILs have really enjoyed them on skiing holidays so I bought one for DH's birthday in January. So excited, cheese and potatoes are two of my favourite things!
