If I remember fatface didn’t do any offers for Black Friday last year. I was after something and was hoping for a discount but they didn’t do any.

imsorryiasked · 26/11/2019 12:17

@BeaLola if you're confident to cut and crease the cards yourself you could get 1 sided coloured card? I'm sure I've bought some card from the works or hobbycraft before

Tamtam86 · 26/11/2019 12:18

I'm about to place an order with crew clothing for a couple of pieces in the 40% off black Friday offer, they have a box to put the name of the person who referred you - not sure what you get but if anyone wants me to use you as my referral let me know

Fueledwithfairydustandgin · 26/11/2019 12:31

@VividImagination what about a collection of books. Things like we’re going on a bear hunt, the tiger who came to tea, giraffes can’t dance. I also really rate playmobil 123 this one is my favourite but there are lots of other sets or DS loved wow toys. In particular this one

Fueledwithfairydustandgin · 26/11/2019 12:32

Also thank you so much for the Levi’s code. Saved me so much hassle buying for my impossible Mother Flowers

BarbedBloom · 26/11/2019 12:37

Latest in Beauty are offering their advent calendar for £42.50, which is 50% off. Says contents are worth £326. Has some OPI, Nars, Aromatherapy Associates etc in it. Thought it was worth mentioning as you could break up the contents and make gift bags from it.

Recklessgran It was The Laughingsloth for the stickers

Luckies of London have 15% off with code WEEKEND15

Hoping to buy tablets for my dc this week. Until now they’ve been sharing my iPad 2 mini and I’d like them to have separate devices so I don’t have to listen to so much arguing and whining
I thought I could either get a new iPad or get two new cheaper android tablets with a budget around €400/£350.
But the very young know it all helpful assistant told me that my iPad is dying and will unlikely last another year and that the samsung tablets ( Samsung tab 10.1 ) I was considering for them have too little RAM to be functional for game playing. Apparently fortnite won’t run on 2 GB of RAM. Mine don’t play fortnite but do play Minecraft. He seemed to think I’d be lucky to get 18 months out of them. Apologies if I haven’t got the technical details quite right because I’m a bit out of my depth.
He seemed to think that I need to buy mid range Samsung tablets, so basically doubling my budget. Can anyone who isn’t as intimidated by this new dangled jizz whackery tell me if this was a hard sell or actually good advice?

What have I missed at wordery? Moomins Shock

Solace Jewellery (inexpensive earrings and jewellery sets made from surgical steel, so hypoallergenic for those who are irritated by costume jewellery) have 20% off today with code WELOVEYOU. I love their products, they are good for children too.

1stMrsF · 26/11/2019 13:11

Sorry here's a link solacejewellery.co.uk

PinkJam · 26/11/2019 13:11

@VividImagination I would second Playmobil 123 or the Plan Toys pull along snail which little ones seem to love.

leeloo1 · 26/11/2019 13:16

I'm another one joining the queue of those hoping for a Boden code if possible. My little girl has just had a huge growth spurt and needs new everything suddenly, so £10 or £15 off would really help. Thanks so much.

Bumblebutts · 26/11/2019 13:16

Can anyone recommend some Slippers for my Dad, size 12, hard soles and must have backs, want to get a really lovely pair as he has been poorly this year.
Thanks

SlayingDragons · 26/11/2019 13:21

@Bumblebutts - someone said (maybe yesterday, maybe just this morning) that Mahabis have 40% off. They might just meet your brief. (My DH loves his - he got his when he was ill and not really leaving the house much for about 6 months - 2.5 years on and they are still worn daily.

PermanentPortakabin · 26/11/2019 13:22

Barbararara I am not at all technically minded, but do you know why the assistant told you your iPad won’t last another year? Is it showing signs (to you) of dying?

We all have iPads here, and ds’ (hard done by youngest child, who knows better than to whinge that his iPad is old and decrepit) must be at least 5/6 years old - he’s had it for over 3 years, and his sister had it for a couple before that!) and is (annoyingly, for him!) showing no signs of giving up the ghost anytime soon. Unless you are experiencing actual problems with it, then I would take that part of his advice with a pinch of salt... ds’ iPad does have quite a crappy battery life these days, but for now we get by with supplementing with an external battery pack when out in the car, and I’ll get around to getting a new battery sorted for it in the new year sometime.

Dd2 has managed to bugger up the home button on her iPad, but we’ve just turned on accessible settings and she now has a touchable home button on the screen that works well enough. Again, her iPad must be at least 4 years old - probably nearer 5, I think she got my old one when I upgraded and that was a while ago! - and going strong.

I’m sorry but I can’t help at all with the your query about games/RAM etc, it’s all beyond me.

Nearlyadoctor · 26/11/2019 13:22

@Bumblebutts - I highly recommend Just Sheepskin slippers, they wear really well and are so comfortable. Not cheap though. Men’s sizing comes in 11-12

SlayingDragons · 26/11/2019 13:24

here you go @Bumblebutts

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 26/11/2019 13:27

Thank you @Themazeoflife I'm going to get it anyway I think it will make such a lovely present

Chocolateteabag · 26/11/2019 13:29

@Bumblebutts - Woolovers have sheepskin and leather moccasins and WH20 should still give 20% and free P&P (with no min spend)

PinkDaydreams · 26/11/2019 13:31

I’m looking at Boux Avenue at the pyjamas and robes in the 60% off offer. Can anyone vouch for quality please?
I’ve had pyjamas from there before and they were lovely but I’m not sure what the quality of the 60% is going to be like?

TheBrockmans · 26/11/2019 13:34

The Hogwarts Battle card game has been reduced to £31.48 on Amazon. Not quite the lowest ever price but I twitched anyway.

PinkDaydreams · 26/11/2019 13:37

Should have said, I normally buy ted baker pyjamas for the recipient but trying to cut back a little so looking at boux Avenue but not sure what they’re like compared to ted baker quality wise?

gaggiagirl · 26/11/2019 13:41
