Thread 12 - hampergeddon

Couldn’t resist the title given the chatter about the hampers. Cross fingers they arrive and are fantastic or that refunds are fast and painless.

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Notlongnow1 · 07/11/2019 20:20

If anyone happens to be off to Olympia for the Spirit of Christmas fair, there are amazing discounts and goodie bags with Home & Garden and Traveller magazines. Was £19 for a years subscription (12 issues), a goodie bag worth £120 and this month's issue thrown in too 👍🏻

ScoobySnacker · 07/11/2019 20:24

That would be great. Yes please @recklessgran

Notlongnow1 · 07/11/2019 20:25

Stubbleturnips, there are a few options at Argos and could presumably use TOYS20 code with them.

ScoobySnacker · 07/11/2019 20:32

Thanks @ADayAlwaysHasToEnd

recklessgran · 07/11/2019 20:33

@ScoobySnacker I've pm'd you a 25% off code for Urban Outfitters
Happy to get more if anyone wants one.

StubbleTurnips · 07/11/2019 20:33

Thanks... Trivial pursuit might work. Not sure on the age range of cluedo it’s for DD who’s nearly 7, will check it out!

BonnesVacances · 07/11/2019 20:35

@recklessgran I'd love a code please. Thank you. Thanks

LutherRalph1 · 07/11/2019 20:38

Thank you @luckiestgirl I LOVE house of games

Justyou · 07/11/2019 20:39

I’ve just been real life shopping and paid £30 for something in WHSmith, as soon as I got home I was checking something online and saw that it was £15 online there.
I looked for my receipt and had stupidly pushed the no receipt button. Can I do anything?
I was only looking online as the packaging was looking a little damaged so was debating returning it anyway and ordering it online

Dolphintrainer · 07/11/2019 20:39

@StubbleTurnips there is a Harry Potter Labyrinth board game that may be suitable, I ordered it a few weeks ago from Amazon for my 9 year old. Or I’m sure there’s Harry Potter Trumps (the grid one where you connect 4 in a row, not the top trumps).

stressbucket1 · 07/11/2019 20:39

Tesco has 25% off their frozen 2 range in store. Some nice pjs and stationary sets. Also stubbleturnips you can get Harry Potter dobble

MrsLeclerc · 07/11/2019 20:41

@StubbleTurnips Harry Potter cluedo £25 but 20% off with code MERRY

stressbucket1 · 07/11/2019 20:42

Actually the 25% is off the frozen 2 toys online also with Tesco

MrsLeclerc · 07/11/2019 20:44

The works also have HP trivial pursuit for £10 and Dobble for £14. Which would also bump up the discount.

Chunkychipsohyeah · 07/11/2019 20:45

Thank you all so much for the great bargains so far. Here’s one for anyone looking for Barbie dreamtopia mermaid dolls. You can get one plus an outfit set, original price for both £35, down to £20 at Argos by buying both in a linked offer and the TOYS20 code. Click on view special offers just under the price.

Annie1290 · 07/11/2019 20:50

Anyone seen a free delivery code for Cath Kidston? Not wanting to spend £40 for free delivery, and really begrudge paying delivery for something really small and cheap in their sale 🤦🏻‍♀️

BouquetOfRoses · 07/11/2019 20:51

Anyone seen any great port either as standalone or a set with cheese? I usually get DH port as part of his gift. He particularly likes tawny or ruby port

Leflic · 07/11/2019 20:51

Justyou Did you use a card? ie is there a paper trail? Obviously they don’t have to refund you as not faulty but they may if you have proof of purchase.

Justyou · 07/11/2019 21:02

Yes I used my debit card, I was wondering if I could use that. Staff will know as i chatted to a lady for ages who helped me with it.
