Couldn’t resist the title given the chatter about the hampers. Cross fingers they arrive and are fantastic or that refunds are fast and painless.

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

@Allmyarseandpeggymartin I asked my muso BiL for advice earlier in the year and he recommended Sennheiser as a brand. These are just over £50 - though I have the wireless ones which I love. found this at John Lewis & Partners. What do you think? earphones

luckiestgirl · 07/11/2019 21:10

Thanks for the heads up about 22% off at IWOOT. They have lots of things already reduced so this reduced it further.

I got a lava lamp (DS will love it because he’ll think it looks like a rocket), a heavily reduced electric razor, and two of those alarm clocks for my teenage stepsons (they start lighting up half an hour before you’re supposed to wake up so it mimics the sunrise to kid your body into waking)

Thought it would be a good teenage boy gift

Thanks to Reastie for your excellent management of these threads.

Just had an email from the Hamper folk saying they're now sold out, and detailing dispatch/delivery #hampergeddon #seemslegit

Leflic · 07/11/2019 21:19

Had an email from the hamper people... no changes allowed.Have been passed to fulfilment and will be sent out 2nd -9th.

lifelongfrugaleer · 07/11/2019 21:19

Thank you to everyone else too for art advice

springlike · 07/11/2019 21:19

I just had an email regarding the hamper - my hamper will be despatched between 2nd and 9th December. Let's hope so Grin

NewBabyJoy · 07/11/2019 21:20

Oh wise ones, can anyone recommend a pikler triangle? MIL wants to get one for my monkey 2yo, but there are so many out there, and SO expensive, I don't even know where to start. I plan to buy on black friday, so am trying to narrow it down to one or 2 before then.

Ruralretreating · 07/11/2019 21:24

@Catmint thanks for the puzzle book link. Great little gift for DH as we visited earlier this year

Barbarara · 07/11/2019 21:30

I was in Dealz/Poundland today and they had a Minecraft Secrets and Cheats Annual 2020 which I picked up for ds, and a set of Monopoly money car fresheners (bit of an odd one but absolutely perfect for my dbil)) and also a large sweary section of cards and gifts.

On the hunt for some penguin themed clothes/ pjs for ds but everything so far has been quite girly. He wouldn’t mind but he’s already quite vulnerable and I don’t want to be the cause of him getting teased so would prefer to find something distinctly boyish. If anyone spots anything I’d really appreciate it.

andi76 · 07/11/2019 21:30

There's a new Harry Potter game that I had never seen before yesterday out at Next & Amazon (& slightly cheaper at one board game place, but never heard of them before). I'm watching on amazon, hoping for a price drop
game

Dreamingofwalden · 07/11/2019 21:31

@LutherRalph1 I bloody love my Bose Mini Soundlink. We bought it five years ago and it’s perfect for me. I carry it around the house as it’s small and it holds its charge well.

totallyLosingIt · 07/11/2019 21:31

@LutherRalph1 I second the UE Boom recommendation. In my extended family we own about 10 of them. Brilliant sound quality, and the newer chunky ones are drop proof, waterproof etc. I bought mine last year during Black Friday for £50 and it's worth every penny.

DustOffYourHighestHopes · 07/11/2019 21:33

@username2020 what’s the budget for the 6year boy?

Shitfuckoh · 07/11/2019 21:41

I also received an email regarding the hamper BUT I didn't actually place my order.. It was in my basket, got distracted with the kids just before entering card details. Came back to the thread & saw the earlier comments & used google etc and decided not to order one. So they've sent the email to me as if I have placed an order, just for signing up & having it in my basket!

PinkJam · 07/11/2019 21:56

@username2020 With regards to the Bobbi Brown globe game - it doesn’t give you a code, it just automatically deducts the “won” discount to checkout. I got confused about this at first too, it’s not made clear Smile

ScoobySnacker · 07/11/2019 22:06

Just spotted some Jellycat teddies ar TK Maxx www.tkmaxx.com/uk/en/search?q=Jellycat&sort=publishedDate-desc&facets=stockLevelStatus:inStock&page=0

imsorryiasked · 07/11/2019 22:06

@Barbarara I don't know how old your ds it's but next have these or Landsend have these or this onesie (and 40% of with code FFCOSY)

JoHo123 · 07/11/2019 22:09

@BouquetOfRoses My husband just spotted a 40 year old aged tawny port for £35 on sale now in Aldi. No idea if it’s any good but I normally have a lot of time for Aldi/Lidl alcohol.

Themazeoflife · 07/11/2019 22:19

I need an alarm clock for a very lazy teen if anyone has seen any cheap ish ones.

PS4 deals also needed if anyone sees.

RJnomore1 · 07/11/2019 22:20

This is NOT a bargain but if any of you have teenagers to buy for abd want mega bonus points, the American Jeffree Starr website is letting you pre order the mini x Shane Dawson conspiracy palette. The entire range was released here on beauty bay at 5pm on Friday and was sold out by 6. I managed to get a pig mirror and now hopefully this, best mother ever 😂

MouseTheDog · 07/11/2019 22:23

@Barbarara Tu have a long sleeve penguin t shirt in their younger boys range and a jumper in their older boys
