Couldn’t resist the title given the chatter about the hampers. Cross fingers they arrive and are fantastic or that refunds are fast and painless.

25% off the Works voucher code here if anyone wants it: S79P2DJG
Minimum spend = £10. Only usable online though.

Muddlewitch · 09/11/2019 23:06

Wilko have got Monopoly Mario Kart' reduced to £15, looks quite fun.

Lots of discounts on their Blox range (like lego) too.

Asda have got this Babyliss 12-in-1 multistyler down to £25 - has attachments for straightening, curling etc and has good reviews. Might be good for younger teens - I was looking for a curling wand for DD1 and tempted by this so she can try out a few different things. They have a few other Babyliss and Remington appliances reduced too.

RubySlippers77 · 09/11/2019 23:28

@whereareyousleep I bought these straighteners as the GHD ones were way out of my budget and they've been brilliant! Worth a try if only as a stopgap till you can find some cheap GHD ones!

thaegumathteth · 09/11/2019 23:49

Thanks @Muddlewitch I've just ordered the hair styler but actually from amazon having checked them for price too. Same price but just easier in my case as have prime. Reviews look fine. Dd has just asked for crimpers so great idea.

unkindnessofravens · 10/11/2019 07:20

Cornerstone (a favourite from threads of Christmas past) have 3 for 2 on all products at the moment.

applepinkierainbow · 10/11/2019 07:20

Just wondering if anyone can advise me - DD who is nearly 5 wants one of hair styling heads. There are so many brands - any advice on a good one? I was tempted by the Baby Born in Argos Thank you!!

MsMiaWallace · 10/11/2019 07:33

Just to add we bought DS the leapfrog ice cream cart when he was 2 or 3.
He loves it still now. & his older brother would play with it too.
It's a great toy.

Raindancer411 · 10/11/2019 07:55

@IfyoushouldmeetaCrocodile Yes, we used them last year to get my son his switch. Doubled up £100 and only has to pay £80. We planned on using them on games this year.

Bluewavescrashing · 10/11/2019 08:07

Morning. Has anyone used their gruum shampoo bars yet? I've got a voucher they emailed me but I'm not sure what to spend it on!

loopylux · 10/11/2019 08:07

My 6 year old has graffiti on her list. Any ideas? I am stuck at some spray paints and a large canvas but wondering if there are more inspired ideas (that don’t involve the walls!) thanks!

ArabellaPilkington · 10/11/2019 08:13

loopy - we decorated a wall of my wine room with graffiti wallpaper?

ArabellaPilkington · 10/11/2019 08:13

Grin @ typo

Oh for a wine room WineGrin

I mean son's

1122christy · 10/11/2019 08:14

@loopylux the works have a graffiti art thing for £7ish. Some designs and spray pens. Think it might be part of their 2 for £10 deals too. Not sure how to do links sorry just type in graffiti in the search bit.

Amazonmulu · 10/11/2019 08:15

Does anyone have a code for Matalan? I've filled my basked with an eye watering (bankruptable) amount! Help please 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

PaddingtonBearHardStare · 10/11/2019 08:27

@Bluewavescrashing I have used the cocoa butter one. I really liked it. I got the cheap ones so have a lemon one as well but apparently this is for blonde hair so I guess it depends on your hair colour

I had two vouchers from them but only one would work. I emailed them and they said the second one was sent to me in error so they won't honour it. It's this sort of customer service that makes me take my bat and ball home and not use them again. It was their error not mine so I will be trying the Friendly Soap one when I have run out

Reastie · 10/11/2019 08:27

I’ve been given secret santa someone who has suggested either a reed diffuser (smell like white co pomegranate and definitely not a Christmas or vanilla type of smell), non coloured candle or thermos type mug. She also likes star prints. Don’t know this person irl as it’s an online based group with a ss. Wanting gift to look as nice as poss but be as cheap as poss ( Grin maternity allowance pay = pretty tight). Any ideas? Thought about a cheap star print scarf from amazon along with something else but it might look really cheap and so might not get worn and be a waste.

@Reastie l recently got my friend a gorgeous blue fleece blanket with metallic constellations on in Asda for 5 or 6 quid and she loved it.

PinkJam · 10/11/2019 08:42

@Reastie Cath Kidston have a new collection called Midnight Stars which has some nice stuff in. But not sure of your budget? Or The White Company have a Pomegranate Votive Candle that’s nicely wrapped for £12. They don’t look a lot but have bought for people that prefer something small but luxury over something bigger that doesn’t feel as premium. Depends on personal preference.

Bluewavescrashing · 10/11/2019 08:44

Thanks @PaddingtonBearHardStare for the shampoo bar review!

username2020 · 10/11/2019 08:50

@reastie a PP said river island had £2 candles

Tooner · 10/11/2019 08:55

@ArabellaPilkington....wine room 🤣

I was so impressed with that and was going to ask what it entailed

imsorryiasked · 10/11/2019 08:55

@Reastie if you have a Robert Dyas near you they do free click and collect. They have the thermos mugs (and lots of others) and NOV15 takes 15% off.

@Reastie The Aldi pomegranate diffuser is lovely!

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 10/11/2019 09:01

How do you get the double up nectar points?
I switched to Sainsbury's energy recently so added 8000 points. It worked out cheaper than my current supplier.

MarbleTrack2 · 10/11/2019 09:02

@loopylux
As an experience present related to graffiti, the Samsung experience centre (there's one in London, King's cross, not sure of any others elsewhere in the UK, has a giant wall where you can spray graffiti using a phone held like a spray can. It's free. My DC think it's amazing
It isn't on all the time, and the area closes for special events at times, so do check before you go. It's not a shop, lots of Samsung stuff to have a go with, but no attempts at sales 🙂
