Thread 12 - hampergeddon

Couldn’t resist the title given the chatter about the hampers. Cross fingers they arrive and are fantastic or that refunds are fast and painless.

For the poster asking about M&S small trees for bedrooms I'm sure that last year they included these on a 342 as I was trying to justify buying more trees for my house ! Maybe they will in a coup,e if weeks if you can hang on ?

thaegumathteth · 08/11/2019 17:13

Anyone got any top tips for advent gifts for a 9 year old girl? £1-2 each so whole thing costs approx £40? Make up / stationery / hair stuff / squishies whatever?

sleepismysuperpower1 · 08/11/2019 17:16

@thaegumathteth i think the things you mentioned are good, you could also put a note in a few of the boxes saying things like 'buy an xmas tree' or 'bake xmas cookies' with a little chocolate

thaegumathteth · 08/11/2019 17:17

@sleepismysuperpower1 any tips on anything specific? I've been trawling tinc / B&M / Home bargains etc. Any other inspiration?

sleepismysuperpower1 · 08/11/2019 17:18

sleepismysuperpower1 · 08/11/2019 17:25

@thaegumathteth ah sorry, have you had a look at the range? they have some good bits and bobs, like dough pots which are basically a tiny modelling kit and it tells you what animal to make on the top of the lid, squishies, lipbalms etc x

Changingagain · 08/11/2019 17:26

Sorry if its already been mentioned, I have to skim read as the threads move so quickly.

bean and sparks do personalised kids book subscriptions and currently have an offer to get your first book free (£1.99 postage). It says you can cancel anytime so I've given it a go and will cancel when the first one has been dispatched.

Justonedayatatime11 · 08/11/2019 17:51

Gustavo1 oh god.... I ordered a drinking fudge set, a box of 6 slices (vanilla, Irish cream, salted caramel, lemon sherbet, chocolate and toffee) and then from Slab I had another 5 slabs turn up of chocolate orange, salted caramel, toffee, vanilla and something else I can't remember! That's a whole lot of fudge! The fudge kitchen stuff looks loads nicer than the slab stuff. Hope that helps! Indulge your craving! Alternatively, if you're anywhere near Norfolk I'm happy to drop some off to you!

caslammityjane · 08/11/2019 17:53

What were the Spicery discount codes, please?

ClaraLane · 08/11/2019 17:57

@Justonedayatatime11 I’m in Norfolk and love Fudge Kitchen stuff 😉 FYI it freezes beautifully but I’d recommend chopping it up into smaller pieces before you freeze it otherwise you end up defrosting an entire slice and scoffing it!

Justonedayatatime11 · 08/11/2019 18:00

ClaraLane ooh, whereabouts?! I don't fancy it's chances of getting to the freezer. Looking forward to opening it up tonight with a new book and some drinking fudge!

afishcalledbob · 08/11/2019 18:04

If anyone wants a gruum voucher for £10 off with no minimum spend here's a code

BigmouseLittlehouse · 08/11/2019 18:07

For anyone still waiting for the Christmas trees mine has just arrived! Very cute, thank you to whoever recommended it ( feels like many threads agoSmile)

TakeMeToYourLiar · 08/11/2019 18:12

@MrsCrimbo74 you've had good advice.
DH into warhammer too. You really need to know what he wants as it's all very specific.

My suggestions would be either very fine paint brushes or 40k universe novels like these

springlike · 08/11/2019 18:16

Today's Metro newspaper (free paper often found at stations) has a £10 off a £40 shop at Lidl voucher for use from Nov 8th - 14th. Two alcoholic products can be bought in transaction.

PaddingtonBearHardStare · 08/11/2019 18:20

Urgh too slow for the Gruum code Halloween Confused

Elphaba17 · 08/11/2019 18:23

Afishcalledbob, it's saying your voucher has already been used but thank you anyway.

Can I please ask if anyone else had a gruum voucher they won't be using? I'm interested in trying the shampoo bars. My scalp has been really sensitive recently and I'm thinking that trying something a bit more natural wouldn't be a bad idea.

VividImagination · 08/11/2019 18:24

@PaddingtonBearHardStare me too!

Gustavo1 · 08/11/2019 18:27

@Justonedayatatime11 I would consider moving to Norfolk for some of that haul!
Thanks so much. Am going to spend the next hour browsing and buying fudge Grin

Awrite · 08/11/2019 18:28

I have used my Gruum code but just wanted to say that I totally love the Lemon and Almond bar. It's so soapy, smells divine and leaves my hair looking lovely.

PaddingtonBearHardStare · 08/11/2019 18:32

Is there bargainous fudge to be had or is it just lovely fudge? Halloween Grin
