Thanks @VividImagination for title.

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Ralph Lauren Polo Red eau de toilette 125mls £30 down from £66 in Boots

Christmascookiesmmmm · 04/11/2019 22:37

Sorry this isn’t a bargain as such so sorry if it’s an annoying post, but just to say if anyone is after a dollshouse there are soooo many absolutely fantastic deals on Facebook marketplace - I just bought an absolutely huge playmobil vintage Victorian mansion for £60 with all the characters for my young nephew (way cheaper than eBay where used ones of the same model are still £300+) and there was tonnes of choice when I searched for dollshouses near me - some lovely sylvanian ones and gorgeous wooden ones. You really do get so so much more for your money and kids really won’t notice the difference, if they don’t get a lot of play value you can probably sell on for what you paid, and it’s made me feel so much better for environmental reasons ! Think I’ll enjoy giving it even more than if it was new for those reasons :)

Does anyone happen to have a code for entertainer? Ive just been given a wishlist.

Unihorn · 04/11/2019 22:53

Agree with the above as difficult as that can be at Christmas. My parents recently bought about £600 of Sylvanian Families stuff on Facebook for £40. There were about 6 of the mansions/shops etc. and countless animals and tiny bits.

bakingcupcakes · 04/11/2019 22:53

Thanks for the suggestions ladies. I hadn't realised aldi did a blue one. The playmobil one mentioned is the one I'd seen suggested before. I really like the look of the aldi one but we've got some playmobil stuff already. I hate making decisions!

bakingcupcakes · 04/11/2019 22:56

Funnily enough I'm currently selling some of DS's old toys to buy new with...I'll have a look secondhand as well. Thank you for all the suggestions.

StudentHelp · 04/11/2019 23:00

Just bought my sister the elemis from QVC for christmas

Kutsy · 04/11/2019 23:16

Please could I have some recommendations on recycled or recyclable Christmas wrapping paper please? Want to be more environmentally friendly this Christmas ( to try and make up for the LOL surprise doll that i’ve Had to buy for my dd!)

CoffeeAndEnnui · 05/11/2019 00:14

@MrsCrimbo74, how much do you usually pay for delivery from the Everything5Pound site? It's coming up as a £40 delivery fee for me but that might be all the shoes I've crammed in my basket so I'm trying to get some perspectiveGrin

BadgerFace · 05/11/2019 05:41

Last year I got a great deal in an annual subscription to Kids National Geographic thanks to this thread (it was through Groupon). It has been a fantastic hit with DD so looking to renew if anyone sees another deal...

I’m also trying to find a good magazine for DD2 who is nearly 4 as she is a bit jealous of her sister’s post every month... Any recommendations for good magazines for that age? Are Okido, Chirp or Dot magazine any good? Although they all seem to be much more expensive than Nat Geo so I might have to talk her out if it!!

Dolphintrainer · 05/11/2019 05:50

TYPO are doing 3 for 2 on what looks like most items on their website. No code, it’s automatic.

NoWordForFluffy · 05/11/2019 06:17

Apparently Lego does a free one for 4 or 5 + year olds. Nothing a slight shift in birthday won't achieve, @BadgerFace!

slithytove · 05/11/2019 06:59

Can anyone give me details of the marmalade gin please?

bedtimeat8 · 05/11/2019 07:00

I have been watching for a while now and just wanted to say a massive Thank you to you all for all the bargains! It's helped so much, I've found things I didn't even know I needed!

I have a 25% off at Adidas code, hopefully it helps someone.

Serg · 05/11/2019 07:08

The marmalade gin offer seems to have stopped but here are the current magazines with free gifts, plus order before 24th November for a free bottle of prosecco.

Spam88 · 05/11/2019 07:24

@Elpheba no specific cup recommendations but the glass or ceramic ones don't keep drinks warm.

AstrosFan · 05/11/2019 07:32

Lego HP Hagrid’s Hut currently £36.97 on Amazon. Lowest price according to CCC is £35.99 so definitely a good deal.

SushiGo · 05/11/2019 07:34

This deal has popped up on Quidco, but superfast broadband with bt (from £36pm) and add a TV sports package (from £15pm and get a free Xbox one S.

The broadband package is a 2 year contract, price comparable to sky, so if you have a family member that would appreciate it you're getting the sports and an xbox for the same price. Plus up to £150 cashback from Quidco, however I don't know how much would actually track if you choose all the cheapest options.

The xbox one looks to be worth about £200.

Nuxe are offering a trio of candles free with all orders over £35, they have some lovely Christmas gift sets. They also send free samples with every order.

Changingagain · 05/11/2019 07:52

I'm hoping someone on here might be able to help me with an unusual gift. My mum has asked for a pair of quilters gloves with the grippy palms but also with in built finger guards to protect from needles. I can't find any anywhere.

BadgerFace · 05/11/2019 07:55

Thanks @NoWordForFluffy and @Canklesforankles those both sound great, will investigate!

MrsCrimbo74 · 05/11/2019 08:07

CoffeeandEnui blimey thats steep! They do say they charge postage on weight but that’s a HUGE amount of shoes (jealous). I’ve paid about £8 before but I don’t think I’d pay that much, sorry for misleading with it being bargainous.

youscumbagyoumaggot · 05/11/2019 08:22

Do you wise bunch have any clues for my DH for Christmas And inconsiderate December birthday
I need ideas for him from me but also my parents and in laws have asked me for inspiration. And something little for him from the kids.

He's in his 30s, loves film and games but has very little free time at the moment because the kids are so young. I've got my eye on a couple of books but don't know if DVDs and games would be a bit of a waste right now. He's not into cars or alcohol or DIY.

From the kids I was looking for something like a photo of them together or a keyring but we've got so many of both.

He does have an Echo Dot that he doesn't know he wants Blush
