Thanks @OdeToAutumn - the IW puzzler looks good for the boy

Dd did her dr b bath bomb at the week end. It turned her and the bath pink (as in the bath not just the water). We had to actually empty the water and refill the bath to wash the bath bomb off her . Apparently it made the bath quite greasy too. Just warning those of you that may have this delight still to come.

I also love my karcher window vac, had it for about 5 years now and it makes demisting the windows in the morning not a chore. Great on mirrors too

I think I missed what the Karcher deal was, could someone let me know? If it sorts out condensation then I potentially need one...!

@BadgerFace it’s me that’s after one for condensation! No deals on that I’m aware of but pp said they come down in price on amazon on Black Friday.

I can definitely recommend the IQ puzzler games - ds (now 11) has got 2 of them and has had a lot of play from them over the last couple of years. He also delights in getting adults to have a go - nipping through it quickly himself then watching us —fail— not manage to match his speed.

For the younger dd, Sainsbury’s currently have a couple of animal blankets that fold up and tuck into the hood to make a little pillow and/or soft toy. Might be nice if they are travelling around for a bit of comfort; they’re not too big. Plus even in Oz there can be cold days in the winter so would still get use...

For origami practice paper, ds just uses on oh the cheap square white office memo blocks that’s a pound or so for 100s of sheets. Saves the nice coloured paper for proper projects!

The karcher was cheapest at curry’s £34.99 for the W1 version. About £5 cheaper than elsewhere. My windows are sparkling now.

Astrosfan many thanks, I've just bought and action camera for DH on a whim. I may need to encourage him to take up some extreme sports to make use of it... enjoying a decent coffee whilst hiding from DC might not count

@princessbear80 - yes the contents are the same. It’s a really nice selection. The bonfire cocktail is one of the mini bottles ( the other is limoncello) and a couple of the cocktail recipes are ‘bonfire themed’ if you were also giving that but if the magazine as a gift

But it’s a really interesting gin plus the mixers are by the same company so fits well as a gift ( if that makes sense!)

Those with karcher window hoovers how do you clean windows with them then? Maybe I’ve been doing it wrong but I found the windows were left with smeary lines from the vac and it took longer than just regular window cleaning with spray and a cloth.

Im thinking of getting lots of shredded tissue paper to do that 😊. Luckily for the environment i am rubbish with cellophane and ribbons for that matter! 😂

@PinkDaydreams a bit off topic but if you have major problems with condensation have a look at positive air pressure ventilation systems e.g. nuaire. They fixed our daily hoovering the windows problem!

@username2020 - Secret Santa presents - if you don't know what either are really into, I would suggest Cinema vouchers 2x£10 for either local multiplex or if you have a smaller indie style one. They can then choose to go twice alone, with someone or even re-gift if cinema isn't their thing
2 x £10 vouchers gives the option for two separate trips (must confess I'm Oop north and cinema tickets are less than £10 here, sorry if that's not the case for you)

Also i second @MrsCrimbo74 post about everything £5 i love it and find the jeans are the most comfy i have ever had (im plus sizeish and size 18 are baggy on me).
