Thanks @VividImagination for title.

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Sorry pink hadn’t rtft and realised you’ve already bought a shape sorted.

I definitely want to but a nice fleece throw now, didn’t know I needed one but hey ho!

livingthegoodlife I’m holding out for the Christmas gin one too. Fingers crossed!

BigmouseLittlehouse · 04/11/2019 12:16

Not a bargain but seeking some inspiration!

Am having some friends from Aus to stay ( unexpectedly) on Xmas eve now. Have two DC ages 8 and 5 (boy and girl respectively). Need a small gift (£10 - 15 each max) for each. Needs to be small as will have to carry back. I’m lacking in ideas ( and my DC are the same ages so no idea why!). Rather avoid Lego if possible as suspect will get a lot of that.

Any ideas gratefully received!

If you have an account with Jojo Maman Bebe you should have been invited to their Christmas event which runs this week between 6-11th. Anything from 15-50% off. Great if you want a micro scooter.

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 04/11/2019 12:23

Sorry 6th-10th. I've already got ds4 his scooter when Jojo had 20% off but I'll return it if I get a 50% off, although highly unlikely with our luck at the minute Angry

PinkDaydreams · 04/11/2019 12:28

@princessbear80 have you signed up to the brew points on brew tea company? You get £5 worth of points for signing up. I ordered the starter kit and have since ordered two large boxes of teabags as stocking fillers which I redeemed the £5 off. Have you seen the starter kit is now £40 in the Christmas shop Shock

PoopaPoopa · 04/11/2019 12:31

@GraceQuirrell not sure if it’s any good but I saw that dunelm’s crackers will have origami sets inside instead of plastic tat this year. Might be fun to stick some in your dh stocking?

In fact, putting that out there for anyone else who’s interested in non plastic tat crackers.

Kraggle · 04/11/2019 12:35

@PinkSpring thanks for the argos blanket link, reserved 2 for my dd’s Christmas Eve box.

Reastie · 04/11/2019 12:37

Thank you for throw advice, dithering about which one to pick!

Has anyone seen any Minecraft bedroom slippers, I need a pair in a size 12. I've tried asda and Matalan but they didn't have any. Thanks

Purpletigers · 04/11/2019 12:55

We have had lots of blankets/throws over the years . Teddy bear from Matalan is soft and cosy but not very heavy, ikea are ok but not fab( we have a tiger print one ) , my daughter has a beautiful teal one from Scion which is soft but not terribly warm or heavy .
The m and s ones are a clear favourite here . So much so I bought a second one which they still steal from me 😂. I may have to buy a third one !

MrsCrimbo74 · 04/11/2019 13:00

Recommended this website last year, its good for teen girls stocking fillers or aunts etc if you want cheap clothes and loads of shoes everything5pounds.com the quality isn’t bad and for £5 per pair of shoes or a jumper I think its a bargain, if you go through topcashback they are doing 7.07% cashback.

bikinibottommuffintop · 04/11/2019 13:05

I bought a Sherpa fleece throw from Sainsbury’s a couple of years back- looks identical to the m&s ones posted and was about £16 or so. It’s fabulous, very soft and heavy.

Reastie · 04/11/2019 13:06

Right, M&S it is. Think I’ll get dd and do matching ones but unsure what size to get..... annoyingly the black one linked upthread is only small size or double size, not single size. Wondering if double bed size is too big for dd in a single bed but might be good for sharing on the sofa. Would mean baby ds would either have a huge double sized one or I buy him the small size. Think the small size would be best prob. By the time he’s old enough to moan about it I can get him another and have used it as a floor blanket for him in the mean time. Which print do people like?

this one or this one ? The black one would show up less spillages so obviously and would match dds bedroom but the grey would match ds’ bedroom..... maybe I should get one double of each so they can tell them apart easily. Gah, sorry, this is dull! I’m so indecisive!

Someone mentioned the Wilko water bottles upthread. I have one, and it looks the part and works OK, but IMHO it is not nearly as good at keeping water cold as the more expensive versions (such as Chillys).

OdeToAutumn · 04/11/2019 13:14

@BigmouseLittlehouse I got someone an IQ puzzler game. Not used ourselves but reviews looked good. Or you could make them up a little gift bag with small things such as activity book, joke book, top trumps, bath bombs, chocolates.

Br1ll1ant · 04/11/2019 13:20

@Jennywallpaper primark had mine craft slippers in a kids 12 last week

AstrosFan · 04/11/2019 13:23

Grace I have asked the origami master in this house (14 years old DS) and he says that this book which we got him last year is one of the best. If is hard - it’s definitely not a kids’ book but it’s doable.

As far as paper goes I just buy an endless supply of Origami paper in different sizes from whichever seller is cheapest at the time on amazon. DS has a lot of patterned stuff (like geometric patterns) but also a lot of single colour sheets. Something like this would be a good option.

Jennywallpaper · 04/11/2019 13:31

@Br1ll1ant Thank you! I just need to organise a trip now, the closest one is an hour away and I'd like to go without the DC so I think so late night shopping is on the cards lol

Purpletigers · 04/11/2019 13:39

The blanket with stars on it is navy not black. It’s gorgeous. If you get an opportunity to go in store they have lots of different ones . I’d go for two of the large ones . The children probably won’t get them as I bet they’ll end up on your sofas . 😂

NoWordForFluffy · 04/11/2019 13:39

Chocolate oranges are back down to £1 in Tesco.

IggyAce · 04/11/2019 13:43

My dr botanicals order arrived this morning and I’m very pleased with my goodies and I hope dd and snow are too.

Ewock · 04/11/2019 13:51

Just a word of warning I sent back my Tokyo order as when it arrived the style just wouldn't suit my dh. I couldn't print the returns label as my printer broke so just took it to the post office. However when the company refunded they also deducted their £2.99 that they charge if you use their return labels. They have now refunded that as well but it's an idea to check if you need a refund!

EachandEveryone · 04/11/2019 13:51

Yes I wished Id ordered more from Dr Botanicals. I think the code has finished now.

AstrosFan · 04/11/2019 13:54

Anyone looking for a Go-Pro type camera but not wanting to spend the ridiculous money on an actual Go-Pro. I’ve just managed to get this camera for £29.99. It comes up in several online reviews as one of the best action cameras under £100/$100 and the reviews on Amazon itself are brilliant. It’s priced at £49.99 but there’s a £20 off voucher you can click on which I think is valid until 8th November. Going by the reviews I reckon it’s worth a punt anyway!
