Thanks @VividImagination for title.

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions on doing clicks links:

Open double square brackets
No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

OdeToAutumn · 03/11/2019 22:50

@SaveMeFromMrTumble try hobbycraft for make your own decs kits. Also I wouldn’t wrap stuff in a hamper. I think it looks nice to have it all displayed and see what’s in it.

DreamingofSunshine · 03/11/2019 22:51

@hootatoot thanks so much for the addidas code!

Elpheba · 03/11/2019 22:59

@NoWordForFluffy thanks so so much for the Lakeland code. I’ve had my eye on one of their nativity sets (£70 😬) and the only vouchers floating around were for £5 off. Thanks to your codes (20% off) I’ve just ordered it for £55. I’m so excited and the DC will be too, so huge thanks again for sharing it.

Crackery · 03/11/2019 23:05

@Elpheba would you tell me about the codes pls?

JaneyJimplin · 03/11/2019 23:06

@Sizeofalentil oh great idea thanks! I'm not in london, thanks for the offer though

Penguinbeaver · 03/11/2019 23:06

Thanks shestood I couldn't find that information. I've ordered them now.

wibdib · 04/11/2019 01:26

Don’t think it has been mentioned - quick heads up that newspapers are reporting that mothercare might go into administration this week...

Which basically means be really careful and if you have any of their vouchers or gift cards consider using them as they are often one of the first things to be not honoured. It’s tricky though at somewhere like mothercare if people have been saving up for a big item and don’t have all the money - do you risk waiting in the hope that it all works out and the vouchers remain active or do you spend money on stuff now that you weren’t planning on so at least you have stuff and not a small bit of plastic you essentially paid £500 for...

WagtailRobin · 04/11/2019 02:16

GAP are doing 40% off (no exclusions) until the 7th of November for subscribers.

NoWordForFluffy · 04/11/2019 05:35

@Elpheba, I'm so glad you got use out of them. 20% made it way more bearable, didn't it?!

@Crackery, I posted codes at 10-ish yesterday morning.

Barbarara · 04/11/2019 07:04

@SaveMeFromMrTumble Bakers Ross are great for diy decoration kits.
I never wrap the contents of a hamper but I do think it feels quite lush to find a few things buried underneath the top layer that you didn’t spot straight away.
I’ve always used cellophane in the past to finish off my hampers but that doesn’t seem appropriate now, especially with all the organic contents.

imsorryiasked · 04/11/2019 07:10

Some great offers on cook ware / kitchen stuff at harts of stur where I fell down the rabbit hole and spent two hours looking at xmas themed stuff

NoWordForFluffy · 04/11/2019 07:14

Debenhams has up to 30% off store-wide from today. Fragrance and beauty is up to 15% off. Might be worth a look?

MulticolourTriangles · 04/11/2019 07:26

Has anyone seen any rolls of yellow wrapping paper anywhere?

Givealittlebit · 04/11/2019 08:04

Ahh I'm jumping on board this thread so late! Just ordered my green and blacks for my click and collect tomorrow though, perfect for nursery at Christmas!

Reastie · 04/11/2019 08:21

Can anyone recommend the best place to get super soft and decent thickness/good quality fleecey type blanket/throw? Dd has asked for one. I bought a lovely one for myself from lands end sale but I really don’t want to give it up and they don’t sell them any more. She’s had them from primark and Asda previously but said she’d like something thicker and as soft as possible. Not really sure where to go... ideally a bargain obv but I’d rather spend a little more for one that’s right and will last.

Multicolourtriangles a roll of display paper would prob work

OP posts:
Justapatchofgrass · 04/11/2019 08:30

Display paper is quite thick, it would be good for large boxes but not smaller items

SheStoodInTheStorm · 04/11/2019 08:30

@Reastie if you can get to a Costco they have some gorgeous Sherpa ones for around £10.
