Here we go. I think 6 was the quickest thread yet!

It's 0, feels like -4 here! Very frosty cars indeed. I walk though, so I'm not affected!

And -1 at home, apparently. It's only a mile, but clearer slightly different weather! 😂

My phone says -2 but it's usually colder. Will have to wait until I get in the car in an hour.

One of the schools I was at yesterday had a fox red lab therapy dog in. She listened to the children read and was lovely.

DH doesn't get into the car until almost-10, so it's not as cold then. It was -2 at 7 last night, apparently, as that's when they came back from swimming.

I'm just thinking that my garlic will be loving it as they need cold weather to split into bulbs, as will my parsnips as they taste better after frost!

Fluffy My Dad used to say the swedes and parsnips weren't ready to eat until the first frost on them 😁

Wreck that is so lovely for the children. In my special school where l worked they used to have therapy dogs come in too. They were beautiful dogs. So good with the children bless them🤗

Fanny , hope your hands carry on improving , l used to use heel softener on mine with urea in it l didn't pee on them honestly 😅 . It draws moisture from the layers of the skin .

Morning all.

I've been up since 1. Both dc have high temps and being sick. I think they have norovirus. It's been going on since Sunday evening.

According to my weather app it's 8 degrees at the minute. Definitely not as cold as yesterday but feels colder than 8.

I like the John Lewis advert this year compared to the All-About-Elton one (though I know there was a film , I've never been a fan of Elton John )

Mrs yes to the TVN involvement , they will assess and liaise with the Leg Ulcer Clinic if need be (if they feel her legs are vunerable to ulceration) . Has your Mum been seen for a Vascular referal too? They need to see what;s going on, antibiotics do their bit but no-body wants to be on long term unless its essential.

We have frost here and ice on the patio table .
Frost is good for Sloe Berries if you pick them for Sloe Gin

My lovely female cat likes to walk on the table between me and the laptop, purr very loudly demanding attention, then (typically) give us a kiss with her teeth , not a bite , more like picking up the skin with her teeth. Then she goes round pushing things off the table

Nero a lot of my schools have therapy dogs now. None of them are special schools though, I think it's great.

Urgh there's a load of lurgy going around at the moment . Trouble is , when you are doing the looking after , the running about , the laundry , getting up in the night , the worry ....when they recover , the person doing the caring gets the next dose !

We have Archie the reading dog at school who's a therapy dog and is a treat for the kids when they've had a good go at reading / going up a book band etc.

Back from Goldcliff , no rain but very cold BRRR!
Bought some bits and bobs , also did my double up on the Sains nectar points , Fluffy , what a palaver, the app wouldn't let us download it and then the assistant couldn't do it . Anyway in the end we managed to get it done and although l didn't have many points l managed to get 3 books for Christmas presents with it . The new MARGARET ATWOOD , the SAS one by Damien Lewis and the Eddie Jones autobiography . They were only 9.99 each so l think they were less than Amazon so it is all good

70 will ring Dr tomorrow and ask for a referrral for the TVN & Dermatologist but l don't think the vascular is necessary because she has recently had a Doplar on both ankles /legs and they were fine . Thank you for your advice much appreciated especially when you are not well too
