Biddy, I think you need a new patio!

Crazy, they're lovely, aren't they?

I've not watched the ad yet. I'll save it for home!

I've spent my lunch down a Christmas cross stitch rabbit hole.

I've rather fallen in love with this one... Apart from my robin I haven't cross stitched for years! I don't know where my frame is. I have only ever finished one large picture in nearly 20 years of stitching. I like to do all of one colour before starting another. Tell me I need to give my head a rattle...

FireflyGirl · 14/11/2019 13:48

And look at all that outlining...

NoWordForFluffy · 14/11/2019 14:00

I love that style but not the outlining! Firefly!

I had books like this when I was younger, I used to love them because every time you looked at them you found something new!

PhilomenaButterfly · 14/11/2019 14:48

Back again!

I bought another colour change snowflake as last year's packed up just after Christmas, and a light up star. I'm also wearing new glittery black jeans, but I'll wear those until they fall apart!

We now get DLA for DS2, so we're comfortably off for the first time. Rather a lot of it goes on organic food, as that's supposed to help with ADHD.

I've been refused PIP, as apparently my memory's fine. Halloween Hmm

How's everyone doing?

PB, so good to hear from you! Xmas Smile I'm glad you're getting help for DS2, that's a relief. Bugger that they refused you though. Can you get Carer's Allowance for helping DS2?

The star sounds good.

Flouncy, I love the church and the village. That may be next year's project for me!

Evening everyone Smile
PSB there's lovely to hear from you , now don't be a stranger missy!
Crazy the Ad is for charity. You can vote where you want the viewing money to go to . I voted for the Trussell trust because l thought of all the kids with no food and their Parents trying to give them a nice Christmas.

Mrsmadevans · 14/11/2019 18:16

Fanny I love the Church , l love them all though Grin
Great advice to do a room at a time Firefly Girl ..gulp... it looked hard to me but very funny l like things like this to. I used to love the Beano and Dandy annuals they always had things like this in them Grin
Crazy don't panic about the pressies you will get there Smile
Very cold here, rained all day Smile
Have a good evening everyone [smile

Chocolateteabag · 14/11/2019 19:43

Horrid showery day here - I had to keep popping out to pick up the car (Garage in the village) then DS2, then again for DS1 (afterschool club) - each time it was dry when I set out, chucking it down as soon as I got 10 feet from the house, did I put a coat on? No I did not, I got soaked each time like a complete twit!

Firefly - that house is soo intricate, it will be vv satisfying to complete. Reminds me of the Brambly Hedge books with all the tiny details they have in each one.
Crazy - I'm starting to get the fear too - people keep posting that they've finished on the Bargains thread. I've been using it to get birthday presents so far - not actually managed even one Christmas present. None of my family (except the DS's obvs) can even think that far ahead - mind you I think this year we'll probably all just buy food & drink anyway.

FireflyGirl · 14/11/2019 21:13

chocolate those are the ones I was referring to! Some of the many few books I kept from my childhood!

Welcome back PSB Xmas Grin
So glad you're back.

Loving the cross stitches flouncy. I've picked my 2 faves..

MrsMad that makes me like the ad more. Brings back memories of my dad setting up the giant video camera before we were allowed in the living room on Christmas morning. We have some lovely videos - most famous in our family is me and dsis walking straight passed new bikes and being super excited because we'd had a care bear each and decided we didn't need anything else 😂

Firefly I would say to do the cross stitch anyway - but I tend to jump feet first into craft projects so I may not be the best person to advise!

chocolate I know it shouldn't but I feel better not being the only one who is behind!

I'm so cold, seriously struggling to warm my fingertips. Am ploughing on with my internet shopping though very slowly while getting distracted by Brooklyn Nine Nine

I looked online for our local FoodBank but they only accepted donations in a 2 hour period when I'm at work. (I know its volunteers so their hours are limited) . The day I'm not at work is the time the distribute but they won't accept donations then.

So, I donate at the supermarket and last time put in some tins of cat food too. Many people have pets who are part of the family too.

PSB Hello, welcome back.

I have two hospital appointments next week including a colonoscopy and a day of 'prep' before ( basically a day on the loo) .
DS will be my Designated Adult to escort me , he's ok providing he can push me through the doors and wait for me with his phone games . Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 15/11/2019 06:28

Morning!

It's chilly outside and rather breezy. Our washing has mostly dried overnight and I've put another load outside this morning.

70, is the colonoscopy related to the pneumothorax? How are they linked? I'm sure your DS will be fine! Grin

I'm watching 3 John Clayton Christmas churches on eBay now. Xmas Blush My name's Fluffy and I have a cross stitch addiction!

Didn't do much if my cross stitch last night. I kept going wrong which is a sure sign to not bother! I'll start again later!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 15/11/2019 07:43

No, the colonoscopy was booked ages before , I was meant to have it done when I came home but had to cancel.

I had two done before (one full on sedation , one without) so it's a "routine" thing .

The lung problem was out of the blue !

FireflyGirl · 15/11/2019 07:44

I sat and stitched a little poinsettia, to test my dedication.

And then I found the kit 25% cheaper, so have ordered it Grin

We've had rain of biblical proportions, and it's still coming down. All the main roads locally have flooded overnight, all roads out of the village bar one are closed due to flooding. The school in the next village along from DS's has had to close as their drains have backed up so they can't use the toilets and the car park/playground need professionally cleaning Envy It's a wee bit wet here...

Mrsmadevans · 15/11/2019 07:47

Morning everyone 😀
Nit too cold here but raining like hell🙄
Fluffy, at least it's not Bingo you are addicted to 😅
I forgot to say that when we were viewing the houses last week there was a Bingo Palace and the women were queuing outside to get in 😁
This was at half 10 in the morning 😅
I can't see what they see in it tbh but it takes all kinds 😂
Anyway am off to Mum's this morning shopping for her first though 😊 bit of this n that.

Bought our half price fruited Pannettone & boxes of Shortbread from WR yest. They are delicious 😋 Crazy that is so sweet the two of you missing the bikes and just seeing the Care Bears 😄 typical DC 😅
Better shift 😁 have a great day everyone 😀

Wish me luck for shopping. I only have £100 so hopefully can get enough for stockings. Will try not to get distracted by all the things I will want to buy for myself Grin

Mrsmadevans · 15/11/2019 07:53

70 glad it's a routine colonoscopy and not a new scary problem , hope you get on ok m'dear💐
Firefly girl, it sounds very wet with you , we are not in such a bad state here thankfully. I think we may have a little vein of x stitch mania in the thread. l blame Fluffy 😅😅😅 ducks the wrath of Fluffy
Have a great day everyone 😀

Mrsmadevans · 15/11/2019 07:55

Fanny you were a contributor no denying that 😅😅😅
Wreck have a blissful time m'dear you deserve it 🤗 You should get a little treat for yourself m'dear 🤗 just a little one 🤗

Mrs I'm going to go to Greggs and get a tub of pigs in blankets Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 15/11/2019 08:18

Oh no, you're not in the least bit responsible, flouncy. I keep buying loads of the bloody things, and I've wanted the church for ages!

Well done on the Christmas food, Mrs. I saw a pannettone bread and butter pudding on Jamie's Christmas programme the other day. It looked lovely!
