Happy birthday fluffy!

I don't like my name. I do like my surname though which is why I've kept it even though I'm married.

I took DH's name as ours wouldn't double-barrel for the kids at all!

I don't mind my name. It's quite 70's / 80's in fashion.

Happy birthdayFluffy Cake Now we know this countdown is getting serious!!

I liked my maiden name as well, but ours wouldn't double barrel either.

We discussed DH taking my name, but he's a clinical psychologist and goes by 'Dr' at work and my maiden name was two syllables starting with a 'D', so it just sounded really twee. I took his really boring name instead.

That's a lovely story about your name, Crazy.

Waking the cats is just unnecessary, flouncy! Halloween Shock I hope he will be making it up to you!

NoWordForFluffy · 05/11/2019 07:08

Your DH is a pain in the arse, flouncy! Xmas Grin At least you get to do the shop alone. 😂

Happy Birthday Fluffy, I hope you have a brill day 🎉🥳.

I took in DH’s last name. My name was exceptionally boring and his name was just that little bit less boring so I went for that😂

NoWordForFluffy · 05/11/2019 07:12

This is definitely the business end of the countdown, isn't it? Love it! Xmas Smile

Ooohh! I do like your style, flouncy!

Thank you for the birthday wishes. We have un-forecast rain, which is miserable. Hopefully it'll perk up!

I don't know if it's anywhere online but we have some light installation or other on the Albert Dock at the moment. No idea what it's for though. But it's nice!

It didn't look quite as impressive as that website suggests! Maybe I was missing something. It's nice though. 😊

Happy Birthday Fluffy
Fifty Days to go Xmas Grin

My cats were very judgey last night , they took umbrage at the flavour of Whiskas I gave them (duck) so were mewing to DH this morning about how starved they were ! (They had a bowl of biscuits too so hardly an RSPCA callout) Xmas Wink

They are having a mad chase now , little claws scrabbling on the floor as they tear round .

TheWoollybacksWife · 05/11/2019 08:09

Happy birthday Fluffy

The Albert Dock lights are making me homesick and I've not lived there for 30 years. I fell down a YouTube rabbit hole yesterday watching video compilations of photos of Liverpool. It was strange seeing the pedestrian areas with cars/trams/horse and carts depending on the era of the photo.

I found the chocolate I bought for the stockings yesterday. Now I need some for the advent calendar. I've got some neopolitans and a couple of sets of Lindt reindeer and Santas. Do Aldi do chocolate coins or similar?

Crazy ahh bless him and the lovely lady who cared for your Dad. Some ppl are so so kind. Do you know what though l bet she got back far more than she gave your Dad for helping him. You must be so proud of your lovely Dad ❤️😊

Thank you flouncy but I haven't mastered knitting yet. Crochet and cross stitch are the only things I can do.
What sort of damage are doing with the credit card? Xmas Grin

Happy Birthday Fluffy 🥳 How are you celebrating?

I couldn't wait to take DHs surname. It sounds a little bit posh and suits my first name very well.

I sometimes wish we had cats rather than dogs - ours are so needy now they're old. DDog1 has doggy dementia which means she runs around like mad in the morning but wanders around aimlessly in the evenings and randomly launches onto my lap, demands attention before buggering off. DDog 2 is like my shadow, he follows me everywhere 🙄

MrsMad I'm proud of both my parents, they both had a rough start (Dad much worse than mum though). They've both done very well making sure me and dsis has a completely different childhood.

I'm finishing work early today. Plan is to get home, do housework then crack on with snowdog (hopefully he'll be done either tonight or tomorrow).

NerosFiddle · 05/11/2019 11:01

Morning all.

Happy birthday Fluffy.

I love a good name chat. My name is apparently on the going extinct list. There's been no new babies born in the last 5 years or something. DS's name would be top 20 in the Uk, it's top 3 in NI. I don't DDs name is in the top 1000 in England but is top 20 in Ireland. Because she born near Christmas I wanted to call her Ivy but Dh overruled.

I pulled my Fridge freezer out in the utility and pulled that horrible draw out with the horrible waste water in it that is just stinky and l washed it out and cleaned the fridge and underneath it. I have also cooked a cauli cheese a shepherds pie and a lasagne , after that we went in to NDN to see him and now l am feeling very virtuous , NAY almost smug Xmas Grin
Nero my name is one that l am called by at least 6 versions of the same name . I answer to all of them Xmas Grin
DD2 decided against the house in the end , the vendors wanted a very quick sale and the Estate Agents were pressurising her and she wasn't willing to be hurried , she wanted us to see it a couple of time and she wanted to see it again , I just don't see how you can spend that amount of money on 1x ten minute viewing at night too Hmm

Mrsmadevans · 05/11/2019 16:00

Woolly l was in Aldi's just now their gold coins are on offer atm 49p m'dear Xmas Grin
