I'm watching Lego Batman with DS. DD is reading The Witches upstairs. DH is cooking dinner!

Lovely afternoon. ❤️❤️

Some people refused leaflets (if they were outside I checked if they wanted one), but that's OK!

Beautiful day here. Poor DS didn't have the best morning bless him as he fell over twice. One was a nasty fall from a swing face down into a muddy puddle and he now has a grazed chin bless him. He was also bitten by a greedy swan Confused

However he did get to go to his favourite restaurant for lunch and was allowed a pudding and is now watching Thomas so isn't too unhappy :)

NoWordForFluffy · 03/11/2019 17:09

DS + favourite food = happy boy too, Emrys!

I hope your DS is OK, poor sausage!

It was a nice day here too but I haven't been out.

Dinner was delicious and I made enough for another night too.

OMG these animals are absolutely wonderful. Seven Worlds is fabulous. The Orangutan Mum letting the baby use her body as a bridge . It is beautiful. I have cried and cried watching it. So emotional.
Wreck l do that too it saves all the washing up Grin

Mrsmadevans · 03/11/2019 19:08

Fanny you are not really going to put the tree up yet are you? Xmas Grin

WreckTangled · 03/11/2019 19:15

I've been bitten by a swan too! It really hurt and I was being nice and feeding it.

We're not having a tree this year. Or any presents looking at out bank accounts.

Eek I hate geese/swans/ducks in that order . I'm not scared of them but I respect the power that they have , I just don't like them.
I used to take the DC to feed them (just so they didn't pick up on my vibes)
Our Christmas Eve walk used to be a local centre that had geese , we walked round the lake or a local place with reindeer who were too stuffed to fly by 2pm Xmas Grin

We went to a swan sanctuary in Dorset once. DS (little git) slipped through the fence when they asked for Feed Volunteers and happily scooped food out to them.
I stood on the safe side of the fence (away from swans) eyeballing them in case they touched my precious son !

RoseToes · 04/11/2019 04:47

emrys bless him, he sounds like he was in the wars today. Swans are bastards, if you pardon my french. I don’t get how people like them.

fanny I put my tree up mid to late November. I’m the earliest in the streetGrin it drives DH bonkers

I’m up super early, I haven’t been asleep much. DS2 is poorly so is in with DH and I but he wriggles too much to sleep. DS1 and DD will be up in about half an hour so I’ve come to terms with the fact that I won’t be sleeping.

I hope you all have a good morning.

Morning!

It sounds very wet outside. It's meant to be drying though. Once I'm at work, typically!

Even though I love Christmas, I'm a 'nearest weekend to 1st Dec' person. Which means it may be the end of Nov, but no sooner. It'll be 1 Dec this year. 🎅🏻🎄🎅🏻🎄🎅🏻🎄

I once chased a swan, apparently. Silly me! I've also had my bum pecked by a goose! It wasn't painful, thankfully.

Back to work today. Boooo!

We usually do two weeks before Christmas and then it's down the day after Boxing Day. The needles annoy me too much otherwise.

Back to work today so the 7.5 week countdown to the Christmas holidays is on!

WreckTangled · 04/11/2019 07:02

Oh no just seven weeks to Christmas holidays that's not too bad. Jury duty will take up some of that HmmGrin

EmrysAtticus · 04/11/2019 07:04

Yes 7 weeks until the holidays doesn't feel long at all :) DS is a weirdo. I asked him last night what the favourite part of his day had been thinking he would say his ice cream sundae or watching Thomas but he said the park where he fell Grin Clearly not too traumatised by it all.

Yes, we have just under 7 weeks until the holidays as they finish on the Thursday before Christmas (as do I!).

What dates is your jury service, Wreck? Is it when the GE is too?

Emrys, your DS is too funny! Xmas Grin

RoseToes · 04/11/2019 07:18

It’s sunny but it’s proper freezing. I didn’t sleep a wink last night, I’m hoping DS2 gets some naps in today and I can have some too.

RoseToes · 04/11/2019 07:18

emrys how funny! Bless him😂

WreckTangled · 04/11/2019 07:20

Yes it's w/c the 9th. I spoke to the court and it's only the first day I have to be in at 9 the others it's 10 so that's much easier as it's a hood hour away plus park and ride.

flouncy I’m sorry you had such a rough time the previous year, but the following one sounds lovely!. We have our fairy lights up most of the year, I also decorate the house for Halloween and Easter. When one thing goes down another goes upGrin
