It struck me recently how times are changing - when I was young and working it used to be fun to wander around the beauty halls in Selfridges and John Lewis etc, and treat myself to nice make up (but always with a ‘gift with purchase’ for added bargain-ness). Then as dc1 came along and I was no longer working but always in boots or Superdrug I had downshifted to No 7 and MUA.

But now, I have also eyeliner as my everyday one (very soft so doesn’t pull skin) and pretty much everything else is from Poundland. Sometimes I end up with stuff that I don’t like or that isn’t quite right on me but very rarely. And buying a bottle of canary yellow or glitter turquoise nails inc nail varnish for 50p or a pound is fine to have fun with but I’d never buy them at full price! I’m going to a wedding in December and have no idea yet what I’m wearing but finding myself thinking that if I don’t get something soon I’m going to end up buying an expensive lipstick if I can’t find a Poundland one due to the time contlstraints!

I just got my smafolk orders. I ordered a 1-2 and 2-3boys but half of my 1-2 is actually 2-3 so in all I've ended up with 1 pair of leggings, 5 long sleeved tops and a towel. I'm quite disappointed really, but shouldn't really of expected much more. Hopefully I can swap some of it.
