Top tips on the advent calendars, thanks. Any more people would recommend getting their hands on early?

Ooh. They could be broken up and used to pad out hampers, depending on the size of them. Not in the spirit, I know, but...

I'll have a look, thank you.

NoWordForFluffy · 18/10/2019 08:53

Home Bargains has some candle advent calendars for £4.99. No idea on quality though!

Hello all. Happy Friday. I’ve name changed but I’ve been here before.
My Yankee candles are currently out for delivery so I’m browsing the internet for Christmas inspiration while I wait. I’ve gone for some lovely Autumnal ones - is there anything nicer than candles & fairy lights when the nights are drawing in?!
I’ve been discussing Christmas presents with a friend today who has a DS and a DD the same ages as my DS & DD and we’re both a bit stuck. Just not feeling very inspired and I don’t want any more plastic tat that will just go into landfill. I think it’ll be books, jigsaws, chocolate, a toy kitchen and possibly a wooden Wendy house for the garden.

I'm in this boat, so asked DM to buy her a wooden toy this year. DM has bought said wooden toy to give to DD... in addition to a plastic version to keep in her own house for when DD visits. 🤦

Flouncy thanks for the info about Tu / Argos, I didn't know that so will tell dm.

MrsMad keep an eye out for me at the 25% off sale - I'll be the one pushing a trolly full of mostly black, navy or plum clothes while my mum tells me repeatedly I should wear more colour Xmas Grin

Sorry about your dsis, she's just trying to push you to behave how she wants you to. Ignore ignore ignore.

Also, as much as I hate to disagree with you, it's not just men who are rubbish with illness. My lovely nan was in hospital with chest pain, hooked up to monitors and argued with the doctor - he told her she was having a heart attack and they were monitoring it and needed to give her some medication. She was adamant he was being dramatic because it was indigestion 🙄
I miss her.

Fluffy my plan is to go to Cardiff tomorrow for a bit of shopping and go to parents on Sunday for lunch.

Nabel what was your previous username? Would be good for me to test my memory!

I'm just on the train back home. I've been to Swansea for a meeting / jolly today so that was fun but it does mean I won't actually get into my house until around 7 😴

CrazyBaubles · 18/10/2019 18:10

Oh and this is the pic of my cross stitch from last night... I don't think it's bad for a first attempt if I do say so myself) Xmas Grin
