MrsMad is your nearest Sainsbury's in Cwmbran? I love the Newport one but always spend £££ in there.

Firefly do you know when the next 25% off is coming? I take my mum (because she's too nervous to drive to the big one) and we tend to buy loads, especially for Christmas so I'm assuming it's soon?

Wreck you have my sympathy especially as you're feeling ill and can't have cake 😱 Do you make yourself any diabetes friendly cakes?

I'm in work and on a countdown to home time already. My day is full of boring meetings and getting on top of little annoying admin type tasks which I put off until I have enough to keep me busy for a day.

I started the cross stitch. I'm enjoying it but it's so slow going that I'm not sure I have the patience for it. I'll post a pic later - I'm not convinced by the pattern but I'll stick to it just so I can get it done.

WreckTangled · 17/10/2019 08:34

I do make some things, it's expensive though.

It's really chilly outside today! House is still warm enough without heating though.

NoWordForFluffy · 17/10/2019 08:36

Morning!

My phone network is down, hence not posting til now (snuck on at work!).

Chilly here too. The bathroom was really cold today, but the rest of the house was OK (our bathroom is always cold!).

Best get back to work...

Hi everyone, sorry I haven’t been on. I’ve been knocked sick, and now the girls have it. Just popping on to say hi, I hope you’re all okay!. I feel sick just typing so I won’t try and catch up, but I hope everyone’s well.

NerosFiddle · 17/10/2019 09:50

Morning all.

There's a definite nip in the air today. The forecast gives it to rain at 4 so I'll get the clothes out on the line till then.

RolytheRhino · 17/10/2019 12:55

It is chilly. DD (1) and I went out to a country park this morning- mud everywhere, but very crisp and autumnal. Lovely clear skies and crunchy leaves.Smile

Anyone planned their visit to Father Christmas yet?

Oh Mrs, I'm glad your DH is OK now. Flowers

I reviewed some medical records the other day and my client had heart attack symptoms and went to bloody bed, only going to hospital the next day! I was 😱😱😱 when I read it!

I think 3 is up and running now. But it was still crap on my way home from work.

Xmas Grin Nutters !

Mrsmadevans · 17/10/2019 20:20

Just finished watching Grand Designs and am wondering how the hell they got planning for that ? I liked the inside mind but they didn't want to say how much they spent on it lol. DH said he thought Marta was going to fall out of her cocoon onto her head Grin , he's feeling better Smile

Mrsmadevans · 17/10/2019 20:22

They are complaining about 3 on Watchdog. They say to turn the phone off and on and the aeroplane mode off and on to see if it sorts it out .

NoWordForFluffy · 17/10/2019 20:25

I did that about a dozen times each and no joy. It came back on its own eventually!

Been researching Advent calendars , the very popular No 7 is out a week today , if you want one from online then they are advising to notify them on the site. £42 for £176 worth or so they say Grin

Morning!

I think it chucked it down for most of the night. The ground is very wet!

Hurrah for Friday! 🥳🥳🥳

What weekend plans do people have? I'm at the allotment tomorrow morning and then I think we're going to the park on Sunday to get the kids out if it's dry. It's meant to be.

It's definitely starting to be consistently cooler, isn't it?

I've found a free firework display to go to on 2 Nov, which is good (especially as the kids aren't always that great with all the banging!). It's nice and early too. Most start after bedtime, which doesn't work for us (our kids don't do late nights well).

Chocolateteabag · 18/10/2019 07:27

Morning!

@Mrsmadevans - I've decided I'm going to pin my hopes on getting the Elle advent calendar for half price on black Friday (they did this last year) as its got the biggest number of things I'd actually use (but I'm not paying £115!)
Hope your DH is feeling better today?

It's a horrid grey day today, my DH is away so need to drag my self up now and get DDog up and out in the rainHmmI need all the coffee to get going though...
