Hello all! Just finished watching GBBO; good week! Sadly DS2 woke up crying during the showstoppers so I missed them 😭
Love a bit of pastry I do.
MIL has text today asking what we want for Christmas so I sent her our Things to Get Me lists. Hopefully she’ll stick to them and not go off piste. I’ve written “second hand is fine” with a lot of the requests, hoping to get her to consider eBay/charity shops too. Trying to spread the minimal waste efforts gently about!
I went to TK Maxx today and they’re a treasure trove of zero waste stuff. Got some lovely paper wrapped bars of soap to put away. (And some biodegradable dog poo bags but they’re not for Christmas. )

I haven't been able to keep up with these and haven't read this full thread (29pages!!) so sorry if I'm interrupting a conversation but just a reminder that sainsburys sales start today. At first I thought it was just toys but there's been talk of a cordless vacume reduced from 299 to 50quid! I'm hoping to grab a duplo set for DS, might pick up a few other bits too. Anyway, just thought I'd mention it

Had lovely snuggle with DS1 last night watching GBBO (I let him stay up to watch it to the end as he was so good), made up for a day where I couldn't seem to stop crying

No real news on DSIS - she is "making progress" and we are waiting for results on what the lump in her head was (it's out now)
I'm just vv worried that the damage it's caused will be bad.
But need to keep sucking it up and keep busy as moping about sinning is no help to anyone

DS's have asked for an X box for Christmas - guessing that's a Black Friday type purchase?

Or maybe Very if you can get a new customer deal. There was a good one floating about (Google normally assists!).

I think I'm getting a cold I sneezed six times yesterday and twice already today. Have a bit of a runny nose and spots on my chin.

Wreck have you got a sore throat to go with it? Whenever l have a cold l always get a sore throat. 🙄 Hope it doesn't develop into a cold , blasted things 💐

No sore throat. I'm never ill so it probably won't amount to anything. I often get a sniffle and think I'm getting ill but am usually fine. Obviously I still need sympathy

I can't make my own yes I told them. My manager is on leave but I told another one everyone was very jealous!

I made my Christmas cakes and mincemeat today. I also bought some makeup for the DDs from America with packaging in their favourite Disney films. Very excited to see them when they arrive.
