Hello! How is everyone? What have you all been up to? I've spent far too much on Halloween, chocolates and decorations!

WreckTangled · 11/10/2019 17:41

We do see herons round here but not usually crossing the road Grin

PB!!! Welcome back!

Welcome back PB :)

You ladies really need to slow down (weeps)

Thanks for letting me rant yesterday, today was much better thankfully. I work in a school and staffing is getting bad with everyone coming down with bugs and I'm in charge of cover!

Discussed with DH and hopefully next summer I will be able to give up work entirely :)

Just managed to get an Imaginext Power Ranger thing for £20 on Facebook so will give that to DS for Christmas :)

Chocolateteabag · 11/10/2019 18:00

Wheels - I love that tree. I must get myself to some Christmas fairs (maybe the Country Living one in Harrogate this year??) I don't go to buy anything just to wander round and get the Christmas feeling. But then I do feel a bit guilty for all the stall holders trying to earn a living

Picked up the Aldi in store catalogue and they have furry throws and cushions next Thursday - I'm wondering if DS's will like them of course they will . Managed to get more loo roll and they had kindling bags in, so my B-Shit prepping is back on (I live in the sticks and we do get snowed in quite a bit so I have a regular stock of the essentials from around end of Nov anyway)

Just realised that I am quite new to this thread so hope no one thought I was a bridge dweller - I have had this user name on and off for years now though.

wreck - our lovely, quite posh NDN called DH up a few months ago asking if he would shoot the heron that was eating the fish in her pond, he had to remind her that they are protected (not that he would have tried anyway)

WoollY - that house is so cute. I would either leave it as it is, or go to town and paint it as traditionally/realistically as you can. There are some gorgeous miniature houses on pinterest to waste many hours looking at

NoWordForFluffy · 11/10/2019 18:00

We love Imaginext stuff!

I'm glad you managed to get it sorted with your DH about work. Xmas Smile

And yes, I'm going to have to think of way too many thread titles at this rate!

I love that little house too. Might have to get to Aintree to get myself one or more!

Mrs I'll take more photos at the tree booth on Saturday! You guys will love it! :)

I love herons! My dad gets them in his yard because he's near a pond and they like to steal the fish lol

philomena HI!! I've missed you!!

Emrys Oh honey. My SIL works in a school and I guess it's been super crazy there with everyone calling out for illness. I'm so sorry.

Chocolate Around the end of November we will have quite a few Christmas markets. We also have the Winter Market which is the farmers market but in the winter ;) lol I love wandering around them too

fluffy I think you gave me the windy day! It's really picked up here now!

fanny It's definitely an expensive weekend but my dad treats us to it as every ride is only 1 ticket (they call it Family day) and it's about $8 for 25 tickets? So it's not terribly pricey. The food and the booths are the most expensive thing lol

fanny Thankfully the stuff I really loved I could make myself haha. This lady had this cute crocheted fishing game and I was like 'omg!' and decided to make it for my little niece for Christmas haha so I'm crocheting fish now

TilandPop · 11/10/2019 18:53

I’ll catch up later ladies! It’s bath time now and we’ve only just got in. Will just quickly post the display from today!

TilandPop · 11/10/2019 19:00

I don’t think I’ve ever actually seen a heron in real life!

Crazy your DH is right, take care of yourself before anything else!

Biddy well done for surviving the interview!

wheelie count your blessings! I hate Peppa with a passion, but it shuts them up for half hour whilst I get some more sleep so I can’t complain😂

wooly that’s lovely, I’d paint it.

mrs sounds like you’ve had a busy day, I hope you’re settling down now!

Welcome back PB, its nice to meet you Xmas Smile

Emrys that’s great re your job!.

Sorry to be so brisk in my replies today, I’ve had a very busy day!. The rain held off this morning thankfully, but bucketed it down on the way home. It was freezing here too hence DD’s wooly hat😂. I tried to get more pictures but they were being little terrors so I couldn’t. I hope you’ve all had a good day lovely’s!

NerosFiddle · 11/10/2019 19:55

Psb (you'll always be psb to me) good to see you back. I hope that you're ok.

CrazyBaubles · 11/10/2019 21:47

Welcome back PSB (sorry, like Nero, you'll always be PSB to me too). Hope you're ok?

Woolly that house is so cute. I would probably go for traditional colours for it.

Neros love the Irish accent and although I can hear the difference, I don't have a preference for regions etc (although we met a taxi driver in Belfast who was a local (said he grew up a few streets away from Falls road) and his accent was beautiful.

I'm also partial to a Scottish accent, particularly Glasgow / Edinburgh and surrounding areas.
And South African.
I just love accents to be honest, they're so fascinating.

When will you hear about the job Biddy?

Sorry for anyone else I missed, the thread is moving too quickly.

I am taking DHs advice and slowing myself down a little. Need to get back into ensuring I get a good blast of fresh air on lunch, eat properly and sleep too.

Today I've made my 3 mini jumpers for dsisters Santa washing line. Just need to embroider the initials on the other two and they're done - they're a bit scruffy now but I'll block them and they'll be fine.

FireflyGirl · 11/10/2019 22:13

I've had a crazy day, been on the go since 6.30 and just collapsed into bed, so I'll catch up with everyone tomorrow!

Sweet (Christmas) dreams Grin

WheelchairWoes · 11/10/2019 22:58

til That's a lovely display!!

LOL I think I'd suffer through Peppa but my kids loved Charlie and Lola the best haha

crazy Those little sweaters are absolutely doll!

Fiddle Please don't think I was mocking Irish Accents I love how they sound. I just am hearing impaired and I think it affects how I hear accents. I have a lot of problems with southern and French accents too. English as a whole are ok though but Welsh accents kind of do me in sometimes.

firefly Sweet dreams!

My daddy came and fixed our exhaust fan! I love him so much. He's such an amazing daddy and I'm kind of teary eyed about it. I love him so very much.

Joe's off at work. The kitties got flea treated today and guys omg they act like we are killing them. Lilah is the only good baby out of them. When Joe grabbed her? She was meowing and rubbing on him like 'oh you're petting me daddy? Thank you!' and he wrapped her in a towel and put the stuff on and she fell asleep! The others screamed and hollered and fought but Lilah was like I'll just nap haha Everyone is off pouting and being snooty now save lilah love
