Mrs, DD loves anything arty. And books, loads of books. She's asked for a walking puppy thing, a jumping ball (ball with a disc you bounce on), Lego Friends, cuddly toys. She's 6.6 at Christmas.

Wow lots of chat tonight. I'm back from dinner out with colleague. One is retiring and I'm going to miss her so much! She's so lovely. I had steak 😋 it was delicious. Past my bedtime though. Also it sounds like someone is stealing our wheel barrow but I'm hoping it's just the wind Grin

WheelchairWoes · 10/10/2019 21:44

til It's awful! I'm going to try and hit up our thrift shop and see if I can find anything good for her there. I usually soak them in the tub with some soap made to strip them so I can get them pretty clean!

Chocolate Glad you got home safely!

Fluffy Your cough is still bugging you too ? :( I'm sorry to hear that. Did the wind lay off for you at all?

I have to go pay some for my lay-away for the kid's Christmas. We ended up getting them a switch cause we're big pushovers. I miss the days when they were little and their gifts didn't cost an arm and leg lol.

I'm still working on painting my door, but I got it halfway done? And ran out of paint! I have to run to the store and get some more.

Joe's boss closed their work for the night so Joe gets to hang with us all. It's still very overcast and cloudy outside

Mrsmadevans · 10/10/2019 21:45

Ahhh thank you Fluffy l have bought her colouring pens and a LOL colouring book but she is my Great niece who has just lost her Dad so l i'll get her more this Christmas. The jumping ball sounds fab Xmas Grin

WreckTangled · 10/10/2019 21:45

Mrs my 9yo dd loves bath bombs, anything from accessorize kids bit, clothes, clothes and more clothes Grin any stationery you can think of. I could buy her so much, she's just like me!

TilandPop · 10/10/2019 21:47

Mrs DD1 will be 3 at Christmas and DD2 will be 16 months. They both love dollies, DD1 loves unicorns and anything crafty. She’s always cutting and sticking.

Wheelie we pop ours on a hot wash and it usually cleans them. I’d love a switch! They seem so fun.

Mrsmadevans · 10/10/2019 21:52

Ahhh thank you Woolly & Til , it seems stationary is good to go with any age . I have bought bargainous colouring washable pens from Crayola , so l will get things to go with them as well , am very taken with the jumping balls they look brilliant Xmas Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 10/10/2019 21:53

She saw that one, Mrs, but I got her a Lolo ball from Amazon which seemed more sturdy. They're easy once you're on!

Wheelie, it's still windy. Getting across the Albert Dock is bloody challenging sometimes!

TilandPop · 10/10/2019 21:57

Bloody hell that looks insane! I suppose it’s like a pogo stick, just without the handles, and I found that hard enough😂

Mrsmadevans · 10/10/2019 22:00

Lolo ball it is then Fluffy l am sorry l am going to have to give you the ultimate compliment and copy you Xmas Grin .Thank you m'dear Smile

WheelchairWoes · 10/10/2019 22:17

Mrs You might look for some water color paints too. Some kids love painting in the coloring books :)

I know those balls! The kids love them! Mine still play with theirs lol

Fluffy I'll happily take your wind from you ;) lol Please be safe out there.

When my kids were little they had these balls with a handle and you'd sit on them and hop

TilandPop · 10/10/2019 22:20

Space hopers? wheelie

TilandPop · 10/10/2019 22:25

I went searching for space hoppers and found this! www.smythstoys.com/uk/en-gb/outdoor/garden-games-and-accessories/pogo-sticks/unicorn-ride-on-hopper/p/168297 How cool is this!

Chocolateteabag · 10/10/2019 22:50

Nero's - DH and I enjoyed the "Cavern Club" (I know it's not the "real" one) - the house band played but also got members of the audience up to sing or play instruments - there was a weird mix of ages and it felt like being back in pubs in my uni days

We also did the Beatles museum at the Albert Dock which was also good
The Tate was a bit Confused and the weather map isn't there (not sure why I thought it still would be though)

Chocolateteabag · 10/10/2019 22:51

Til - stickman is fantastic - as they all are tbh
I also really love the stage show version of the Gruffalo which I've seen with DS1 but keep missing for DS2

TilandPop · 10/10/2019 22:55

chocolate DD1 loves the gruffalo so stickman might be up her alley. Thank you :)

Mrsmadevans · 10/10/2019 23:03

Mrs Hope you are nice and asleep and that your mom has a good visit tomorrow!

We went to the festival tonight! I took some pictures for you guys! When we go on Saturday the kids will be riding rides. Tonight was just a go there and wander around and see what rides are there and what's there. It's going to be cool on Saturday so lots of Jackets and bundling up

I hope you all are nice and asleep and dreaming good dreams!

Morning!

It sounded like I was in a washing machine in the bathroom this morning with the wind and rain outside! It seems to have dropped for now though (probably starting again after I leave the house!).

We don't really get too much damaging wind, Wheelie. But we often have 30-45mph winds which get the washing dry nicely! 😂😂

The festival looks lovely. Did you have a good time?

Going back to Liverpool, there's some great restaurants up Bold St too.

Unfortunately there are loads of homeless people all around the centre. It's quite disconcerting how many there are.

On the up side, there are some amazingly talented buskers who play down Chapel St and in Clayton Square. Just such good musicians and singers! Plus a mad old man near M&S who wears bonkers suits!

wherelie it looks beautiful!

fluffy I’ve never heard that phrase before (I’ve probably been living under a rock lol)!. The wind here, is 11mph, so completely different to you.

The girls are in my bed watching Peppa Pig (I can not stand this pig, she is such a little brat!), we’re going to play group later, but it’s meant to rain around the time we leave so I might get the bus instead of walking. After that we’re going to the garden centre, apparently they have a Christmas display up already so I will take some pictures for you all. I hope everyone has a good day!

NoWordForFluffy · 11/10/2019 07:21

What phrase haven't you heard?

Where are you in the country, Til? We're windy as we're coastal.

Our local garden centre is very Christmassy. 🎄🎅🏻
