Fanny it's totally weird re the Trolls. I don't like to think of someone duping us because we are such a lovely group. It breeds distrust amongst us.

Been here forever same as Biddy, Wheelie,Wreck,Crazy, Firefly girl, Fluffy 😊, 70, Wonderful Woolly with the biggest ❤️. Emrys who used to be called RedGreen 😄. Nero , CiJ on occasion lots of others who dip in and out. Sorry if l have missed anyone out l had to rack my brains for the names 😂
Anyway we all love new ppl but there has been a lot of ppl coming here with strange DC names, always living by the sea , always sailing into the thread as if they have known us for years. Nothing wrong with that but we regulars can spot them a mile off. Last thread we had M* who has disappeared without trace after befriending us as if we were her family. It does make one cynical because these ppl never stay long but we just carry on being kind and nice and friendly because we all like one another very much 🤗
It's a lovely safe haven for us all and we want to keep it that way . You will never see any of us having a go at each other here . We are all so supportive of each & everyone of us ❤️

Mrs PM me if they pop up again (I don’t want to be giving all my good Will to a troll). They must be a bit thick if they never change their story!. I’m real too though, live nowhere near the sea, the girls have very normal (common) names and I’m as common as muck😂.

fanny they have a little tree in their bedroom, I’m going to have to find a new way to put it though as I’ve moved DD2 into a toddler bed so she’ll be all over it. But I’ll get them a bauble for that in their Christmas Eve box.

I’m thinking a doll each, some soft toys, dress up for DD1 and then some paints or an aqua doodle. They love disney so I might get a Disney collection. I’ll have a look, I’ve had a look on the bargain thread (I won’t dare post though it moves so fast I get very confused).

Til I think it's that trolls are lonely without any real family and need attention. I admin some loss groups on facebook and we get them sometimes pretending to have lost a baby! We usually catch them because the owners of the photos they use join the group and are like 'Hey! That's my son!' and all the crazy falls on their heads.

Do your shops have where you can put some money down and they hold it and then you pay and pick it up later? That has helped us a lot on when we're having tight years. We call it lay-away over here.

Mrs It was supposed to be a sunny day but I think the red morning struck a bit early. It's super cloudy and overcast now. Looking like it might rain today instead of tomorrow.

Mrs PM me if a troll pops up too. Now I'm scared I've been all nice and praying for a troll and stuff. UGh. That makes me sad. I get really emotionally attached to people here

Had an awful day at work just full of stress. Wondering if I should leave and do something else tbh. Don't like being away from DS so much during term for a stressful job.

wheelie that’s disgusting! I can’t believe they’d do that on a loss thread. And I think Very has a buy now pay later thing (I might be wrong), but that’s a good idea actually. I have saved some money up, but not a lot as I need to get nice Christmas food too and some decorations. Thankfully I don’t buy for any one other than the DC as my family know things will be tight for me.

Fanny wow them lights are beautiful! I love coloured lights, I prefer them to the gold and white lights we have now.

Oh my gosh! fanny Those lights are gorgeous!! Last year I got my hands on some lights shaped like candles and they were my favorite thing ever

Emrys Awww honey. I know it doesn't seem like much but spending time with him even watching movies is something he'll remember. I was a latch key kid here in the states it's kids who are left to walk to and from school cause their parents are at work. But do you know what my favorite times with my dad were? Watching movies in the evening! He introduced me to Star Wars and Star Trek. And my best memories with my mom? Aren't doing anything fancy. Her reading The Poky Little Puppy to me at bedtime on repeat because I BEGGED her.

We even went to Disney once and I remember nothing about it but I remember those movies with dad and books with mom

Em I didn’t see your post, sorry!. Is there any other job you’d like?. I’m sorry you’re finding it so stressful, especially being away from DS. It’s worth it if you love your job but if you’re getting stressed I can see why it’s frustrating you so much!.

wheelie it’s definitely an option. I’ve never really been very well off but circumstances this year has meant that I’m a lot less well off than I have been. Most months we have enough for food and that’s about it. It’s frustrating but it’s the best we can do for now.

Em why is work so stressful is it the ppl you work with or the job itself? When l worked on the community , the ppl in charge were awful but the patients and the families and the staff l worked with were just lovely.
Stress is an awful thing lovely , can you make a plan to change things in time?

Til I read an article about a family who got a gift of '12 months of adventures'. They did 12 envelopes (could fill them all before Christmas, or just before you open them), some of it was things they'd have done anyway (eg their summer holiday/trip to theme park in the school holidays) but you could also do free things (eg go rockpooling/nature scavenger hunt). Spreads the cost out, as well!

wheelie it’s a nightmare isn’t it! And I always find that when I’ve saved something comes along and I need to spend it. DD1 had a huge growth spurt last month and I had to basically kit her out again, I went to charity shops but it still wasn’t cheap.

firefly that’s a lovely idea, we have a few days out planned, going to see Frozen 2 and going to winter wonderland in Telford, so I will include them for gifts.
