At least you see the light of it mrs! Hopefully there’s none on the thread now, everyone seems so nice.

DD1 is having her swimming lesson now, when I turned up nobody was here so I thought I had the wrong day😂.

CrazyBaubles · 10/10/2019 09:44

It's shepherd warning / delight here too. No sailors.

I used to be an agency waitress and worked a few race days. I have to say (sorry fanny) but I wouldn't go to the races at all now.

MrsMad agree about the trolls. I still don't understand what kicks anyone can get from our Christmas planning!

I'm at home today (had a day off anyway) so plan is to crochet and rest before viewing a house this afternoon (we've been house hunting for ages). May see if there's a really good cheesy movie on the Christmas channel

TilandPop · 10/10/2019 10:26

crazy let me know if you find any good Christmas films!. Enjoy your crocheting today!.

FireflyGirl · 10/10/2019 10:32

Thanks, flouncy. Sunshine has done the trick, but I'll try Flash next time.

It's sailor's here too. Maybe because we're on the coast?

There's loads on Netflix, Crazy. I quite enjoyed Christmas Inheritance Grin

TilandPop · 10/10/2019 10:38

Firefly that’s really interesting. I’m nowhere near the coast and it’s shepherd, it would make sense that sailors is used near the coast.

BiddyPop · 10/10/2019 11:21

I'm on the coast too, and grew up on a different coast, and it was always shepherds!

Hi all, hope all are ok, best wishes for recovery to those and loved ones who are ill.

Christmas continues to take a back seat here, interview round 1 tomorrow, so I am busy bigging myself up (in my head at least) and trying to keep the other plates still spinning. Dry start, then rain as I got to town, but briskly chilly today, autumn has definitely set in (yay!). DD enjoying school, they had a Xcountry race yesterday so came home mucky. That's what showers and the washing machine are for! Grin

We had a red sky this morning too! I know there's some rain and storms due tomorrow! Check out the clouds this morning! I got up before the sun but then went back to sleep with a kitty all snuggled up haha

I'm so lost! We have a troll haunting the thread? Is it the same person? I'm too naive I guess. I just figure everyone is nice XD You guys have talked about them before but I still have no idea who they/it are?

dave I hope they are fixed this time too! The Audiologist told them not to transfer ANYTHING in case it was a file. She'll load it all up herself in the office. I'm so so sorry to hear your DM has a lump! I hope they check it out and it turns out to be nothing. I had a lump they did a surgical lumpectomy on and it was nothing but scar tissue from a cyst. So there's lots of things it can be that aren't the big scary C.

I'm sorry your gran is sick too! At least all the bad in the set of three has popped up so you don't have to worry about MORE bad news? I'm praying for your gran, mom, AND Dsis.

Til LOL it's so funny you think Azzy looks tiny! HE's actually a big bub! He's 13 lbs! Just over 5 kg the converter tells me.

Fluffy Don't blow away!! I always worry about losing stuff when it's windy. Is everything battened down safe? I'm also really glad the guy wasn't dead although I lol'd at your detective work about it.

Mrs What's a leg club?

firefly When the sun comes out definitely try the sun. If it's a particularly nasty stain? I squirt a bit of lemon water onto the stain (learned that in the cloth nappy days lol)

We have no shepherds or sailors but my dad was in the navy so I go by his sailors warning/delight haha

biddy Good luck at the interview!

Just had a skim through, welcome to Chocolate Flowers and Tiland

I have a copy of the Lakeland Christmas catalogue but I'm saving it for when I can sit quietly with a pen to mark things .

Watching catch up TV, ( Classic Eastenders has just had another grim Christmas )

Very autumnal here , I have some dogwood and creepers going red in the garden.

And there was a Cat Protection advert on TV for ill, abandoned and neglected kittens
My own cats (who were those abandoned kittens not so long ago before the CPL rescued them ) were ver' ver' judgey and gave me the "I don't think so" look !

TilandPop · 10/10/2019 15:43

Biddy you've disproved the theory! Good Luck with your interview tomorrow love!

wheelieI'm glad you're confused lol! I didn't want to seem stupid, but is the troll on the thread now? I'm not sure of the pattern but it seems others are. waves to Lorry driver dave if he's on here.
It must be the shark bed that makes him look tiny, he's almost as big as my dog lol Xmas Grin

The girls loved swimming, bless em, I've been trying to do more clubs with them. I've always struggled with anxiety and it meant I rarely left the house after DD2, but I try and go to clubs with them a few days a week now and they love it. DD1 starts nursery after Xmas too so she will be out of the house four days a week, which I'm happy about as I know she is getting everything she needs. Sorry about my rambling on everyone!.

WheelchairWoes · 10/10/2019 15:49

70 OMG those save the dogs and cat adverts always have me blubbering. I will sit there and sob and sob. My husband is like 'we have enough cats!' and I'm like 'the babies!' while crying haha

Til It is a large bed. Here's my fat ginger cat laying in it. I got one bigger than I probably needed because I have one cat who's 20 lbs (9kg) so he's a huge boy and I wanted him to be able to get into the bed if need be haha.

I'm glad your girls love swimming. Mine love going to the pool. We can only go in the summer though. Our place with the inside pool here (YMCA if any of you know of them) isn't very accessible. They have a ramp but it's very run down and it's really hard to get into. I keep petitioning that they bring the building up to code and they just don't have the money to.

Wheelie Leg club is for the mostly elderly ppl in the community to have a natter and a cuppa tea and coffee and CAKE 😁 while they have their bad legs dressed or nails cut. I am trying to get Mum 😭 into going most weeks if l can . She needs to be monitored because they are so vulnerable to infection. She thoroughly enjoyed it and talked the hind leg off a donkey 😂 so it was a great success 🤗

wreck That's fantastic! They are probably so happy to have a good patient! A lot of people don't manage theirs at all. And that's how bad things happen

fanny I love your Charlie!! Looks so much like my Gabriel! I love big gingers!

Mrs Leg club sounds like a good idea for mom! She can talk to all the other people and have her legs monitored and such. You are SUCH a good daughter. You make me want to cry cause you are so good to her even when she doesn't deserve it. I'm glad she enjoyed it!

Mrsmadevans · 10/10/2019 16:32

Yes Til, like Fluffy says at least 1 Troll😀 poor things they must have really boring lives. Hope your DC enjoyed the swim 😁
Dave don't worry about downing the thread , we all say things here to get some comfort from each other🤗 hope your Mum has good news and the DTs are better 💐

WheelchairWoes · 10/10/2019 16:35

I just realized I totally mixed up some of the stories! Sorry about that dave I got yours and someone else's stuff all mixed up. sigh I need to stop trying to do recaps I fail at life. haha

Mrsmadevans · 10/10/2019 16:42

Wheelie don't worry about it sweetie 😁
Biddy 🤞 wishing you all the best for the interview m'dear 🤗

Chocolateteabag · 10/10/2019 16:43

Dave - can you have my DSIS as your third?
She has had MRI and the lumps in her head are self contained so they are going to take the big one out on Monday. Not sure if I should, but I feel slightly more relieved that things are happening. She is such a stubborn bat normally so she'll fight this hard.

I'm on my way home now and going to ramp up the Christmas/B-shit prep to distract so you should see more normal posts from me soon

chocolate I think feeling relieved that the doctors have a plan of action is totally normal! What kinds of Christmas stuff do you like? If you get to a point you are really sad I'll look up fun things to post for you.

Mrs I just feel bad! When I was typing it I wrote it wrong even though I knew it was Chocolate with the Dsis with issues. Oy vey.

I think it's a sign that we have too many sick family members and everyone needs good thoughts and prayers, and warm fluffy things. So I'm just going to send everyone all the nice thoughts.

I ordered this cling on film to go on the hallway window. It will make it so people can't look inside but also make it so I don't have to put a curtain in the hallway which my kitties would try to climb. LOL it looks like stainglass and I can't wait to receive it!

window stuff

TilandPop · 10/10/2019 16:53

wheelie I love that bed! it's awesome. The pool is only a few minutes from us and they love it, sometimes we go to one a bit further away and that has a wave machine and slides so DD1 really enjoys that. Hopefully they're able to get the money soon, it would be nice if you were able to take them more often! Xmas Smile

Very well done to you wreck! Xmas Grin

fanny Charlie is gorgeous! and well done to Mrs!. I'm glad there's no troll at the mo, hopefully it stays that way Xmas Grin

mrs awh that's great that your mum enjoyed leg club bless her!. You're right about the boring lives, have they nothing better to do?. They loved the swim thank you!

I've got terrible acid reflux, I've been taxing omeprazole but it still is bad. It's worse when I nap, I've also got hot sweats in the night because it's that bad. It's a nuisance!. But oh well, power through!. I ordered us a gorgeous pyjama set from ASDA for the Christmas Eve box. They all match which is lovely!. I'm getting so excited now, I will start buying soon. I'm on a really tight budget this year, probably about £50-£75 each. If anyone has any ideas that'd be great! DD1 will be 3 in November and DD2 has just turned 1.
