I'm looking for some quite specific socks for DH. Lobster pattern and flamingo pattern.

Any deals on naice socks?...

Barbarara · 06/10/2019 14:17

I’m getting Dd the decathlon set after using it in France. It is on the big side but I saw plenty of smaller kids having a go too. The arrows are excellent; properly sticky, and it might be worth buying them separately if you decide to go with a different set.
I’ve definitely seen archery sets in aldi more than once because I’ve considered them for dd before. I’ve no idea though about the quality.

Amazon Prime is offering a £5 voucher if you want at least 5 minutes of a Prime episode/film - it doesn't include trailers or bonus material. Offer ends today and the voucher will appear on your account within 2 weeks of watching. It does say there's a £20 minimum spend when using the voucher.

noodledoodler · 06/10/2019 14:29

@HideHide, you could try e bay? Those things are virtually indestructible so second hand ones should look like new, maybe buy the storage case for them instead of brand new packaging

Someaddedsugar · 06/10/2019 14:30

@Courtney555 Jimmy Lion has a couple of offers on with 10% off when buying four pairs in a nice box - they definitely have lobster socks.

Someaddedsugar · 06/10/2019 14:33

@Courtney555 they also have flamingo socks!

Just posted a link to referrals thread for 10% off Rex London thanks to previous poster (still debating the torch, looks good). Some potentially great stocking fillers in their sale as well as some non-Christmassy bits (no bloody idea why I've just bought a genuine sombrero).

Little worry dolls, perfect if you have a worrier, cupcake kits for any budding bake off contestants.

Not sure if the 10% is off sale tbf. Free delivery over £20 if you sign up for emails. Apologies if repeating, haven't caught up from this morning yet.

thesoo · 06/10/2019 14:51

@Someaddedsugar I have prime but can't see the deal. How did you manage to find it?

Sorry I took the last one down as it could have been identifying - it was on the menu bar @thesoo

Saw this on amazon, not sure if it's a good deal or not!

Also dd has asked for ugg boots. I've already got her main present and she's still growing so don't want to spend loads on genuine ones but at the same time I don't want them to be crap quality. Any recommendations? She's an adult size 3 Hmm

thesoo · 06/10/2019 15:09

Hmm, all I am being offered is a free packet of chewing gum through Amaon Pantry. Thanks anyway @someaddedsugar !

HideHide · 06/10/2019 15:28

Thanks Noodle and Imsorry, eBay is my next step. Apparently i missed a 20% off offer in Tesco last week so I'm hoping for another similar offer soon

LunaLovesgood · 06/10/2019 15:30

I've been informed by DD she "needs" a cry baby and something Barbie from Santa. The Barbie request is so vague that despite it being helpful in that I'm not required to get the most expensive thing ever, it'll be her main gift so I want to get something more than just a doll.

Any ideas and good deals on either?

ritzbiscuits · 06/10/2019 15:37

The Works have up to 25% off if you spend £10. I got a three books for my son and one for my Dad for £8!

Many good Christmas picture books for £2, a couple of kids Star Wars books for £2 etc.

CoffeeChocolateWine · 06/10/2019 15:37

@Chocolateteabag, we have the Decathlon set and it is brilliant fun and the arrows are good quality. We’ve had our for 3 years now and still in good condition. But you are right, it’s a bit big for a 5yo. My DD wasn’t able to use it properly at 5. The bow is too big and she didn’t have the strength to pull the bow back enough to fire the arrow. I would say it’s more age 8+.

handmademitlove · 06/10/2019 15:41

@Chocolateteabag we have this from decathlon for the little one. It is much easier to use than a normal archery set. Uses the same arrows and board as the normal set my elder child has.

MooPointCowsOpinion · 06/10/2019 15:45

@Givealittlebit not sure if you’re still looking for birthday presents, but the maths gifts on present indicative are amazing. Someone bought me a protractor shaped cheese board from there and I love it!

Jfw82 · 06/10/2019 15:46

@WreckTangled If you do want to look at genuine uggs BrandAlley have quite a wide selection at good reductions

Alternatively I've used SoleTrader outlet for boots in the past

Courtney555 · 06/10/2019 15:48

@Someaddedsugar

Thank you...I think.... Four pairs of socks in a box even with the discount code has come to £30.60...then add the £6.95 postage Confused

I've spent the last two months looking for something similar in the shops though, so at least I can tick off.

WreckTangled · 06/10/2019 15:51

Thanks they're way out of my price range still though.
