Just got an email from Amazon to say the jacques of London curling and puzzle order was cancelled that the price was wrong on website. The marble thing was ok, I didnt even want that one really! Anyone else get that email?

PinkDaydreams · 09/10/2019 10:17

Oh wise mumsnetters! DH is obsessed with the weather, checking it each night and for the rest of the week on the bbc weather app. Is there something (I don’t know what) that I can buy that’s weather related?

I8toys · 09/10/2019 10:17

Says my curling thing is arriving today

GraceQuirrell · 09/10/2019 10:17

I ordered the Jaques of London 2-in1 game, the solitaire and the jigsaw yesterday and I had a dispatch email from Amazon last night and have just had an email saying they will be delivered today - which is odd given I chose the free standard delivery option so wasn't expecting them until Monday or Tuesday.

SweetPeaPods · 09/10/2019 10:18

Had a few CCC alerts this morning for some Lego City items I’m tracking including the Harvester and garbage truck

xTinkerhellx · 09/10/2019 10:25

@PaddingtonBearHardStare I went through the resolution centre on PayPal and opened a dispute. If you click the payment on PayPal there's a link to report a problem.

My Jaques orders of the jigsaw and snakes and ladders game says it's out for delivery today.

Gustavo1 · 09/10/2019 10:28

@PinkDaydreams how much are you planning to spend?
I am also a little weather obsessed and would love a Bramwell Brown weather clock. Not bargainous though!

Pywich · 09/10/2019 10:30

@PinkDaydreams - I bought a weather station a few years back for my DP - shows temperatures and time and has little pics of clouds or umbrellas depending on what the weather is doing or due to do - its great :)

IveGotALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 09/10/2019 10:32

Red Carpet Jewellers have confirmed the authenticity to me, and that the earrings will come with Swarovski branding, so I've left my order. I'll report back on receipt!

Wiifitmama · 09/10/2019 10:45

I ordered the curling set, the solitaire and a puzzle yesterday from Jaques. I had a same day delivery option through Prime so got them all last night without any issues. Sorry to hear some orders have been cancelled.

Elphaba17 · 09/10/2019 11:04

I've just received the Jacques alphabet puzzle and for the poster who asked yesterday, yes it is boxed just like it shows on the listing.

Jammiebammie · 09/10/2019 11:07

Fingers crossed I’m getting home from hospital today, waiting on doctors coming round 🙏🏻

@Luxplus and everyone else, thank you for the smafolk info. Still not sure whether to go for it for dd3, £35 still a lot if she won’t wear any of it (she has spd so can be super fussy with clothes)

@sleepismysuperpower1 thanks for the swag doll on amazon, sadly it’s £46 on there and it’s usually £30 so I’m not willing to pay that much extra. @nocutsnobuttsnococonuts I’ve not been able to find it in stock online at smyths for weeks, must have missed it there so will keep checking thanks.

@Barbarara I second looking for the OG academy second hand. 2 years ago dd was really into Og and I spent a fortune on lots of sets including the big vet, and the play sets really hardly got played with. She likes the dolls and clothes/accessories but we’re selling some of the sets now as they take up so much space and just don’t have as much play value I don’t personally think.

@HelloSweetlings 100% agree with the recommendations of wet brush pro. I have 3 dds with super long hair and it’s the only one that we use now, tried everything. Even youngest who freaks out getting her hair brushed loves the wet brush, we have quite a few now.

@Crackery pandora often do promotions so it’s well worth waiting, especially for black Friday. Recently they had 3 for 2 on everything, and they’ve had 20% off before too.

@IJustWantToWearDungarees dd1s student code worth unidays is valid for another year now she’s not a student anymore, you can check the date it’s good to on the app.

Playmobil western take along western city half price on amazon now £19.99

playmobil western

Trying the linky thing but I might not succeed.

Tooner · 09/10/2019 11:17

Oh I did it. Thankyou @SandraOhshair for your instructions

PinkDaydreams · 09/10/2019 11:18

@Pywich and @Gustavo1 a weather station sounds fab! Thank you! I don’t mind too much how much I pay, I’d rather pay for a quality item that’ll last. Obviously nothing ridiculously expensive.

Spiderpants · 09/10/2019 11:20

Has anyone seen any deals on an amazon alexia device for the kids so cheap as possible want them to be able to play audible on it

Reastie · 09/10/2019 11:20

I’m out atm but will set up new thread when I’m back but if it runs out in the meantime do feel free to sort one out. Will be back in a few hours

Got the jigsaw and the snakes and ladders game, the beautiful packaging will be wasted on the 3 year old, but does look nice!

I also bought this scrapbook set based on the Adventure book from Up. Its also arrived today and looks pretty cute for £9.99.

From the reviews it does seem there are two versions. One as pictured on amazon (which I recieved) and another with the house and balloons from up on the front, not sure if there was a mix up or something!

It also comes in a nice gift box.

@PinkDaydreams www.presentindicative.com/products/admiral-fitzroys-storm-glass Other storm glasses are available!

Gustavo1 · 09/10/2019 11:41

Melissa and Doug food groups are on amazon daily deals for £12.35. A good price and a lovely quality gift for anyone with or getting a play kitchen.

IsThisReallyaBirthmark · 09/10/2019 11:52

@RemoteControlling I think I missed the link for the national geographic book. I’ve googled and it says it isn’t available. Would you have the link as I think my son would love it. Thanks.

Bluewavescrashing · 09/10/2019 11:53

@PinkDaydreams early learning Centre made a brilliant post box game a few years ago. I'll see if Mothercare still do one.

NotPennysBoat · 09/10/2019 11:54

@Spiderpants I got an Echo Dot last year around Black Friday (I purchased on 16th Nov according to my order history). I paid £24.99 which is half the current listed price.
I'm on the lookout for another one this year and am holding out until Black Friday hoping for another deal!

Bluewavescrashing · 09/10/2019 11:55

www.mothercare.com/childrens-games/pop-it-in-the-post/145982.html this is the post box game @PinkDaydreams and it's reduced too!

xTinkerhellx · 09/10/2019 11:57

For any Alexa devices, definitely wait until Black Friday. Amazon always reduce their own products by a fair chunk.
