Thread even! No threats!!

FireflyGirl · 05/10/2019 21:34

@NoWordForFluffy the GH book is the same one from last year. I ordered last year for me, and this year for DMIL.

RickOShay · 05/10/2019 21:35

Thank you @UrghJustUrgh. I have got dd some deodorant, she’s becoming more eco, which is a very good thing.

Bluewavescrashing · 05/10/2019 21:36

I had a strop this evening wrestling with my very full present drawer. All presents for my 2 x DC birthdays in Oct and Dec, 3 nephews' birthdays, SIL birthday, MIL birthday, my dad's birthday and all the Christmas gifts I've bought so far (nearly everything).

I took it all out and wrapped the presents I can drop off with family next weekend. They will probably think I'm mad giving them their Christmas presents in October but we won't see them again until January and I don't want them cluttering up my house any more!

The Cox and Cox gold ribbon looks fab on brown paper. The presents look really nice and I've earned my eco wrapping badge. Wrapping without sellotape is bloody hard work though, I had no energy left to build my tree train to put around the present pile Grin

I found the Hyggebands too tight so gave mine away - much prefer comfort of sea salt bands

TellMeItsNotTrue · 05/10/2019 21:46

@NoWordForFluffy it's this one

I ordered for £6 but got £4.04 via topcashback so paid only £1.96 for this and 6 issues.

Definitely last year's, thank you Firefly and TellMe. Bugger!

PaddingtonBearHardStare · 05/10/2019 21:56

@EvilHerbivore @JDSTER I couldn't remember who recommended RUComfy. Any excuse to show off DS2 again demonstrating how big DS1s bean bag is Grin

These threads have been moving so fast I haven't managed to read all post so apologies if this has been mentioned-

Hawkins Bazaar have pre filled stockings for specific age groups for £25, contents worth at least £50 guaranteed. Ordered 2 for my 3 and 4 year old DDs and they're great! I'm sure they will love everything in them, I was really impressed!

PepsiLola · 05/10/2019 22:08

Aah @NoWordForFluffy does my picture not show? It's a Adidas t-shirt that was reduced to £15 on very 😂 "this" isn't as interesting as it seemed

Hedgyhoggy · 05/10/2019 22:13

Anyone know how to buy the new Lion King & Toy Story DVDs at a good price?

cakegoblin · 05/10/2019 22:15

Thank you @princessbear80 and @Chocolateteabag for the advent recommendation. Seriously tempted. Also great to know that someone else loves their Boyes sellotape dispenser! I say a mini prayer of appreciation every time I use mine. Ah, Boyes, the Harrods of the North.

Just read back through today and am giggling at how many of you have ordered the tree! I bought 4.

recklessgran · 05/10/2019 22:15

@PepsiLola try Debenhams for a wallet they've got a silly sale going on at the moment with a couple of Jasper Conran leather wallets £15 with 70% off.

WaitWhatOh · 05/10/2019 22:22

I love these threads. I now have four Nutella labels from eBay winging their way to me and a little advent Christmas tree I didn’t know I needed!! Awesome!

recklessgran · 05/10/2019 22:23

Anyone looking for adult stocking fillers or nice frugal teacher gifts these are good and something different - lots of flavours/blends too.
realcoffeebagco.com/product/gift-tin-10-coffee-bags/
You can also do a monthly subscription from about £3 which would be good if you're a bit strapped for cash but looking for a nice gift for someone.

NoWordForFluffy · 05/10/2019 22:24

@PepsiLola, that was an anticlimax! 😂😂

UrghJustUrgh · 05/10/2019 22:38

RickOShay You're welcome Smile

PaddingtonBearHardStare · 05/10/2019 23:18

@Hedgyhoggy I have them both set up for alerts on CamelCamelCamel and will post on here if they drop below £10 once I have ordered mine

PaddingtonBearHardStare · 05/10/2019 23:20

@PepsiLola @NoWordForFluffy I don't know if my screenshot will show what I mean but the photo did show but looked like the advert we get at the bottom of the thread if that makes sense (I too wondered what "this" was at first Grin)

50% off Dr. Botanicals with code HAPPY in case anyone missed the last one!

Mine arrived yesterday and I'm really pleased. A tube of cream plus a soap will be a lovely and inexpensive gift.

imsorryiasked · 05/10/2019 23:23

Shoeaholics have got 25% off with code TREATYOURSELF works on sale items too - I've just got some ugg gloves for Dsis £59 in sale down to £44.25 with code.

Chocolateteabag · 05/10/2019 23:24

@NeitherNowtNorSummat01 @cakegoblin - is there anything that you can't get a version of in Boyes??

Tbh we should run some shopping bus trips up to them - The Boyes One stop Christmas Shop Express! Grin

Rosie2000 · 05/10/2019 23:29

Thank for all the bargains so far.
Hoping someone might be able to help- want to buy my dd13 a cotton bathrobe to use after showering. She is tall- 6ft 2 and a size 6/8, obviously she has long grown out of kids sizes. Has anyone seen anything or bought a nice toweling robe and could recommend?

MermaidLife7000 · 05/10/2019 23:29

@Reastie re:Nutella - I spotted these on Instagram earlier - I take it they’re smaller jars? Very cute though! From Tesco Smile x
