Ahhhh. Oh yes, Paddington! 🙈😂

(I used to give hard stares to people as a child!)

daphine2004 · 06/10/2019 04:24

Baby Nutella! Think I’ll be buying some. So cute!

Reastie · 06/10/2019 05:10

Mermaid those are really cute! I’m more looking for one that you can use as a glass afterwards though. I’ll pop in to Sainsbury’s at some point.

Wow, this thread moves fast! Hopefully, I'll remember all posters correctly, apologies if I don't. Fluffy my oldest DC is 11 we don't have advert tv either and she can never produce a list. This year she doesn't know what she wants so stay away from adverts and you've got years of being able to buy early 😀

Paddington he's so lovely. My friend has just had a baby recently too and I'm getting a bit broody but as mentioned oldest is 11 so it's definitely not happening!

Pepsi someone mentioned Yoshi upthread for wallets. Have got dh a simple, virtually identical to one he already has but not falling apart, wallet for £15 I think. Very happy with it.

And to everyone else thank you for this lovely thread.

NoWordForFluffy · 06/10/2019 06:38

That's great news, Toomanytears! Xmas Grin

10% off gifts and toys at Groupon with the code EARLYELF

Spam88 · 06/10/2019 07:08

I've also succumbed to the cute little tree 🤷‍♀️

Still really struggling with presents for the men I need to buy for 😩 as I do every year! They don't drink, one had a heart attack last year so I don't like to buy him any naughty food, neither would be remotely interested in male grooming products (or vegan soap Grin). Ugh!

sepsisandAKI · 06/10/2019 07:22

cankles thanks for GH info. Seems like great deal

boughtnotbrought · 06/10/2019 07:24

Last year this Ordnance Survey puzzle book was popular for hard to buy for men.
SAVE25 for 25% off £10 spend. Or FD5 for free shipping over £5 spend.

wibdib · 06/10/2019 08:05

@PepsiLola TK Maxx are usually pretty good for nice but bargainous wallets. In previous years I’ve had some great ones for male presents - £10-20 for nice leather from brands like Osprey. The RRP has been £150-200. Not sure I believe it would be quite that high but certainly a lot nicer than I paid (maybe quality was £70-100 equivalent) plus they usually came in nice presentation boxes so looked good as a present too.

lifelongfrugaleer · 06/10/2019 08:17

@cakegoblin I have a £5 off Lakeland voucher I won't spend. I will dig it out

MorbidMuch · 06/10/2019 08:22

Re: hard to buy for men

Last year, I chucked this torch in my basket as a last minute impulse when getting other bits from Rex London and it easily was my DH's favourite present! It's bendy, elongates, and has a strong magnet at the light end. It's come in pretty useful over the year too.

Telescopic Torch

Bargainous at £8.95

QVC have some Molton Brown as their special value today. I bought one to divvy up as presents and then set up a new account using DH email to buy a second with £5 off. So for the second one got around £70 of MB for £46. Postage atm is £1.95.

Spam88 · 06/10/2019 08:45

morbidmuch a telescopic torch is right up my FILs street (my DH has one that he loves, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree 😂). Thanks!

Not very Christmassy but VERA gets you 20% off at Boden atm.

Ewock · 06/10/2019 09:30

A bit of a specific one and this is for me rather than a christmas present. But does anyone recommend a bargainous eye cream? I've tried some cheaper ones but they haven't been very good. Thanks

Smileatthesmallthings · 06/10/2019 09:33

@MorbidMuch that telescopic torch is perfect for my wife. Whilst I was on the website I just happened across a Christmas sale, and a Christmas cake decoration kit fell in to my basket, along with some very cute wooden Christmas tree decorations for 50p each. Guess the playroom will have to have a Christmas tree for my DS to decorate himself now... Grin
