Thread 5 - The Mumsnet bargain thread - spreading the squeaky clean, ethical love!

So it’s not a thread all about ethical stuff (good grief there’s a lot of plastic tat that’s been purchased by me from these threads over the years) but with our current obsession with soap bars and shampoo bars and then I think it was fireflygirl who did the quote and it tickled me.

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

BanoffeePieIsMyFave · 28/09/2019 23:22

Just a wee note to say make sure you open emails from M&S. I sometimes delete without reading but I opened one earlier which had a single use 20% off code (for clothes/home/beauty) in the main part of the email - but not mentioned in the subject so only visible when opened!! Also not mentioned on my M&S app.

TalkingOrmer · 28/09/2019 23:27

@MissMarple0203 I think Next are doing personalised Christmas books.

Becles · 28/09/2019 23:29

Just ordered the Lego advent calendar and posted a referral link on the other page.

Fab bargain!

NoSquirrels · 28/09/2019 23:30

For the TopCashBack Lego Advent Calendar offer it’s the first 1000 customers that are eligible so just be careful as you might pay full price with no cash back.
Bicycle I can't find that anywhere on the T&Cs? It just says you need to be a new customer, rather than there being a capped number available? Perhaps if you are already a member there was a different offer?

Pumpkintopf · 28/09/2019 23:31

Late to the party this year but catching up fast - have ordered the tea set, some lovely things from Buckley London and cards and gifts from Whistlefish Grin

Is there a code for the Dr Botanicals site? Sounds interesting!

winewolfhowls · 28/09/2019 23:34

Three legged camping stools for two pounds in my local mountain warehouse, got a camouflage colour plus a blueish red one. Also camping chairs for seven pounds!
Ideal for kids to perch on at events like bonfires or festivals

recklessgran · 28/09/2019 23:40

@Pumpkintopf code AUTUMN50 gets you 50% off everything. That means vegan cleansing bars for a ridiculous £1.50!

IHeartKingThistle · 29/09/2019 00:48

@NotPennysBoat ASDA have nice mugs with big gold initials on but no idea if they are microwave/dishwasher safe!

Pumpkintopf · 29/09/2019 00:51

@recklessgran thank you!! Thanks

Pumpkintopf · 29/09/2019 01:14

Have just checked out a bag full of Dr Botanicals products for hardly any money. Excited to try them. Thank you for the excellent tip!!

Unihorn · 29/09/2019 01:34

MissMarple HoorayHeroes have 30% their Christmas book so it's closer to £27 and they do look really decent quality. Wonderbly always look good too and they're slightly cheaper at £20 with 20% off popping up quite often.

Pumpkintopf · 29/09/2019 02:31

The online pound shop has lots of Yankee Candle votives and melts for £1 including lots of Christmas scents - might be nice for teacher pressies or stocking fillers?

I just ordered 2 pairs of kids headphones (suitable for toddlers up) for £15.10 on Amazon. They are slightly cheaper if you order these 2 pairs together so I added them to my basket to look at later and then noticed there was a limited time 25% offer making them a really good deal. Good for anyone getting new Tablets or similar. I'm planning on getting mine MP3 players for audio books and nursery rhymes for long car journeys and eating out so these will be great:
