Thread 5 - The Mumsnet bargain thread - spreading the squeaky clean, ethical love!

So it’s not a thread all about ethical stuff (good grief there’s a lot of plastic tat that’s been purchased by me from these threads over the years) but with our current obsession with soap bars and shampoo bars and then I think it was fireflygirl who did the quote and it tickled me.

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Sunshine196 · 28/09/2019 21:44

Sunshine196 · 28/09/2019 21:48

@Sunshine196 thanks. Yes it was them! I'll go and have a look Grin

Sunshine196 · 28/09/2019 21:50

I've had mine for about 3 years now & it's good as new still & it was reasonably priced too.

Kittywampus · 28/09/2019 21:57

Did anyone manage to get the smart plug code to work? It isn't working for me Sad

BicycleMadeForTwo · 28/09/2019 21:59

For the TopCashBack Lego Advent Calendar offer it’s the first 1000 customers that are eligible so just be careful as you might pay full price with no cash back.

PhannyMcNee · 28/09/2019 22:04

That’s disappointing bicycle as it is one I wanted but postage made it more expensive than I can get elsewhere.

PhannyMcNee · 28/09/2019 22:06

And especially as every time I click onto TCB it’s there offering the link and saying the offer has been extended. Ah well, it’s that saying isn’t it - if it looks too good to be true, it probably is Sad

BicycleMadeForTwo · 28/09/2019 22:12

@PhannyMcNee I know, I dithered over it but by then it was pretty popular on HotUKDeals so I assume the 1000 customers mark has been hit. Could be wrong though? Don’t want to put people off, would be handy if they could confirm it before ordering

www.thetoyshop.com/arts-creative-play/dough-and-sand-modelling/sand-modelling/Kinetic-Sand-Rock-Crusher-Kit/p/529198 My boys played with this for hours. Great for little boys

@NotPennysBoat these fitness trackers are fab fitness tracker they do pretty much everything a Fitbit does for a fraction of the price. They can be worn swimming and need charging about once every 10 days. My kids got them last year aged 6 & 8. I cant recommend them enough. I also bought a set of different coloured straps on amazon for about £15 so they can change the look of them whenever they want.

MissMarple0203 · 28/09/2019 22:22

Please could I have some help ...I need to buy for my 2 nieces and nephew. Oldest niece (10) is into Harry potter, glitter tattoos and makeup...other niece (5) is into Disney/dolls/princesses and nephew (6) is into fortnite, cars and Harry potter... I am really struggling to find things for them...i have already bought them pjs...would appreciate any ideas...

Also, really want to get a personalized Xmas book for my 2 children (2 and 2 weeks) I found one from a company called heroes and it was £39 (which is ridiculous for a book) does anyyhave any recommendations? It would be for Xmas Eve so don't want to spend too much. Thanks for any ideas

NeitherNowtNorSummat01 · 28/09/2019 22:23

Also the Lego hogwarts train and the Lego Harry Potter bus are reduced on amazon too

user1019273703 · 28/09/2019 22:27

@MissMarple0203 boots have harry potter bits in and primark might be good. Things like note books, make up, nail varnish sets

NoWordForFluffy · 28/09/2019 22:37

Well, I'm now done! (Aside from The Twitch and two things I still have to buy but know what I'm getting!)

Got the last few bits tonight (including DD's present from my sister). I've been on a roll.

Stolenidentity · 28/09/2019 22:39

My Lego calendar cashback didn't track until 24 hours later (to the minute). I had emailed them as the offer kept popping up when I logged in saying I still had the offer to use.

SleeptightDaisy · 28/09/2019 22:50

Aldi had some Harry Potter items such as top trumps, cushions, water bottles, pyjamas, craft items material etc they been in a few weeks so may be in the clearance section.

RickOShay · 28/09/2019 22:50

Thank you to who posted about the Smiggle sale. I got a few stocking bits and pretty much all of my niece’s present. Just hope that I haven’t got her a pencil case and stationery before Grin

Givealittlebit · 28/09/2019 22:51

How do I still have a dr botanicals basket open?! Surprised I haven't given in and checked out yet 😂

gaggiagirl · 28/09/2019 22:52

@57Kittywampus the smart plug code isn't working for me either I've tried it lots.

mrsdiddlydoo · 28/09/2019 22:57

@Stolenidentity when did you order the lego calendar? I did mine on Thursday night and nothing here yet...

DustOffYourHighestHopes · 28/09/2019 22:59

Amazon have the classic my little ponies (to be distinguished from the creepy skinny new ones) on offer - a few of the models are £8 instead of £10.
