Thread 5 - The Mumsnet bargain thread - spreading the squeaky clean, ethical love!

Reastie · 28/09/2019 08:29

So it’s not a thread all about ethical stuff (good grief there’s a lot of plastic tat that’s been purchased by me from these threads over the years) but with our current obsession with soap bars and shampoo bars and then I think it was fireflygirl who did the quote and it tickled me.

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

RJnomore1 · 30/09/2019 17:04

Aaargh thank you for the oasis link but I’m now desperate to get dh the Loch Lomond 1996 t shirt abd it’s oos... he went with his pals when he was 18 before we met and had the best time...

Dolphintrainer · 30/09/2019 17:27

@princessbear80 thank you 💐 that’s a present ordered!

SavageFenty · 30/09/2019 17:31

Goodness these threads are quick, I completely missed the last one! Shock

Kutsy · 30/09/2019 17:41

JammieBammie....I’ve ordered the rose face oil too...worried now from your comment! Keep us posted on how it is.

And also any codes still for the shark? My hoover’s packed in!

MulberryPeony · 30/09/2019 17:46

I love the rose face oil. Lighter than Elemis and drops of youth.

PiePieChickenPie · 30/09/2019 18:00

@Barbarara how about getting some leopard print ribbon for your dds presents? Also, have you seen the new Bic jungle pens - one of those is in a leopard print design in a velour material (so kind of furry) I saw them in sainsburys for around £3 could be nice to go with the notebook

MulberryPeony · 30/09/2019 18:03

The L’Occitane suitcase is now oos. It also changed the spend limits on some codes for me.

imsorryiasked · 30/09/2019 18:04

Amazon have the travel edition of Qwirkle for £12.99 plus a 65p voucher tick box.
Brilliant game, perfect if anyone needs something to post abroad or take away at Christmas as it weighs virtually nothing.

Jammiebammie · 30/09/2019 18:04

I caved and bought dd the amazing lol surprise 😫 at least the 20% credit back from very will cushion the blow (a bit) she’ll be over the moon.

@Kutsy oh sorry I didn’t mean to worry you! Didn’t feel how I expected it to but like I say I haven’t fully tried it yet just tested a wee bit. The smell is pretty inoffensive and it sounds good so we’ll see. I am a fusspot though lol.

The Shark dh bought direct they’ve still got a lot of money off just now, ours was £100 off and cheaper than anywhere else I saw, but sadly the accessory pack was just for that weekend there.

WaitWhatOh · 30/09/2019 18:31

@Kutsy I also love the rose facial oil. Didn’t think I would be it’s really nice 👍

TripleTKA · 30/09/2019 18:49

Thank you to the poster who posted the Hype code, DS has been after a new backpack, managed to get a backpack, free pencil case, a wash bag gift set and a wallet for £33 (backpack alone is £25)

Kutsy · 30/09/2019 18:49

Thank you WaitWhatOh, JammieBammie and MulberryPeoby for reassurance. Can’t wait for my parcel of goodies from DrB. I will also check out the shark site. X

Bluewavescrashing · 30/09/2019 18:50

Thanks to whoever put up the asda link for classic lego. £30 reduced to £18. DD will love it

SaveMeFromMrTumble · 30/09/2019 18:55

lotusbell · 30/09/2019 18:55

I resisted the dr botanicals soaps, I feel powerful! This was after putting them.in and removing several times over the weekend. I just don't need any more soap!!! I ordered a face mask from there a while ago which I think was free but pay postage and there always special offers like that on, they email a lot too. I think they are now doing a free delivery offer.

Lc2006 · 30/09/2019 19:02

@sugarplumfairy2010 did you find any Heeleys? If not the entertainer have some half price here

daphine2004 · 30/09/2019 19:03

@SweetPeaPods check Asda George for Mighty Pups. My 4YO saw an advert in February and wanted stuff then, I found two big cuddly toys. Very limited then as the film hadn’t been released over here. I also got PJs. We’ve had toys and PJs since March so they should have more stuff in now.

Chocolateteabag · 30/09/2019 19:04

@OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny my Contigo travel mug is the Byron style closure one (but it's 2+ years old so not that style). It was £10 on sale - Byron ones are now £12 (smaller one - about a mug and a half) or £16 (at least two mugs)

I think your options are:
Tesco - in store on offer (ie just be lucky) or with points, or could bump up your normal shop over the Spend £x to get £x off things they send for card holders
Asda - discount card PP above mentioned?
Group on offer - sounds good if you need 2
Costco - not sure how much theya re as I don't shop there

IDontDrinkTea · 30/09/2019 19:17

princessbear80 · 30/09/2019 19:30

You’re welcome Dolphintrainer, glad it helped.

noodledoodler · 30/09/2019 19:47

@mamabluestar thanks for the hype code, it also ships to other countries and only £4.95 to France which was a bonus for these recipients, great value on top of sale stuff

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 30/09/2019 19:54

sweetpea the smyths catalogue had a whole double page section of mighty pups paw patrol. this will be dd2s first Christmas she won't have a paw patrol item at all 😭

jammie I am going to have to avoid Morrisons dd1 cannot know about the sloth!! there is no more room for giant toys... we already have Stewie the llama and Stephen the sloth 😁it's bad enough Stewie has to come everywhere with us, he's almost as big as dd2!!
