Now that we're well on the way to Christmas I thought we could share what we've purchased in preparation for the big day!

I love writing down what I've bought to keep my mind organized and I also reading what everyone else has bought too for ideas and inspiration.

Today I've bought
Festive cutlery holders
Kids festive pyjamas
Personalised cheese board for my step dad
80 Xmas cards for the kids to give to their class mates
And I also found a festive decorated pouch of dog treats for our dog (doesn't go out of date until Feb 2020 either 😊)in my local supermarket this morning!

@NoWordForFluffy it was £8.99 I think. Husband was very please :-)

WineIsMyCarb · 19/09/2019 23:21

Some books and a 'style it's hair' head and shoulders doll thing. Both from charity shop.

And this: the idea is your DC write their letter to Santa and send it and you will have a copy to keep in the book forever. [Soppy face] Will make it an 'advent activity'

Finally made a start and preordered a book and dvd for ds and an instax camera, walkie talkies and perfume for dd.

Got a stocking filler in Sainsburys today, a 5 pack of puzzle erasers, the ones you take apart in weird shapes then try to reassemble but fail miserably. Meant to be £1.50 but the barcode didn't work so the lady put it through as a bread roll for 40p! Grin

Two Boxer robots for £24.99 each from The Entertainer.

Makemethin · 20/09/2019 14:51

Just bought DD (14 months) the following books - all second hand but 'very good' condition from Amazon. One will be for her Christmas Eve box.

Spot's Christmas - 1p + £2.80 delivery
Dear Santa - £2.19 including delivery
Kippers Christmas Eve - 55p + £2.80 delivery

Ooo that's the first of my Christmas stuff. I feel very organised (although clearly not anywhere near as organised as others!).

wildhairdontcare · 20/09/2019 17:25

Chanel blu for DH
Dior sauvage for DS
Jo Malone pomegranate noir and a Morphe palette for DD

Something else ticked off the list!

Maxineputyourredshoeson · 20/09/2019 18:31

This plant pot and nail varnishes from DH and the DD’s for me Grin I saw them and wanted them so got them, then told DH he can give them to me for Christmas. I’m a stupidly difficult person to buy for and if I see something I get it. DH also gets me a few bits.

I’ve bought some flameless candles from The Range. I was in a bar on holiday and they had them on the tables, they were really good to look at. Also we have a cat that likes to pull at tiny LED bulbs on cables, and obviously real flames are out of the question. I’ve got a set of three chunky candles (real ivory wax exterior) and a pack of tea light ones which just have white plastic cases, but will look nice in little lanterns.

Jenasaurus · 20/09/2019 21:49

GHD hair straighteners and a Lego Central Park exclusive set.

Jenasaurus · 20/09/2019 21:50

Oh and 2 boxes of foxes biscuits plus pickles

CamdenTownie · 20/09/2019 22:06

2 x echo dot (ordered yesterday but arrived today)

Was tempted to buy toy story monopoly and a stackers Jewellery Box, but I'm waiting a little bit longer...

LivingInLaputa · 20/09/2019 22:16

Earlier this week I bought some of that Lego tape stuff in Ryman’s for £2 which can go in DS’ stocking. DH found some sealed tiny Lego packs on eBay from a broken Lego advent calendar too

Whoops75 · 20/09/2019 23:53

Eldest middle youngest mugs from amazon. I’ll pop in sweets and a sachet if hot chocolate. I’ll put them with the Christmas pjs in Christmas Eve bag.

Got eldest a Jersey

Trying to decide if there will be value on electronics closer to Christmas. Want to get dd10 an I touch

ClosedAuraOpenMind · 21/09/2019 17:14

unicorn slime kit from amazon for DD

santa is less concerned about slime getting in the carpet than DH will be!

Cherryrainbow · 21/09/2019 19:14

Some sonic figures from smyths. My son's obsessed with sonic and other game characters and it's rare I find sonic stuff so I nabbed it whilst I could!

AdalindMeisner · 21/09/2019 19:27

Unicorn body scrub for dd1s stocking, was reduced to 75p in asda.

AdalindMeisner · 21/09/2019 19:39

Oh just read beyond the title: I have also bought dd1(17) main present (Samsung galaxy tab 10.1), have unicorn scrub that I bought today and a glittery manicure kit, still need to get her a few little bits such as books, chocolates etc.

Got lots of small gifts for dd2(4) - dragon dress up outfit, slime making kits, face paints, small ladybird bag, a castle playhouse that you colour and build from hobbycraft. Still have to get a dolls house, astronaut barbie and an astronaut costume for dd2.

CamdenTownie · 21/09/2019 21:19

Today I picked up A Wetbrush for £5.99 in TK Max, it's got a marble design on it and is £11.99 in Boots! Plus 6 pairs of Calvin Klein socks for dd1 stocking!

I'm happy because the brush was on the list I have so far Smile

banskuwansku · 22/09/2019 16:26

One litre bottle of baileys from Sainsbury's for £12.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 22/09/2019 17:31

Camden the WetBrushes are really good (and you got a bargain Xmas Grin ) I bought one for DD , I think lilac swirly so might be the same as yours. She loves it and yes it was £11ish. DD has long wavy thick hair and finds this better than a TangleTeezer .

I am working tomorrow morning then off in the afternoon so I might get a chance to look in the shops when it's a bit quieter .

I've got some lists on my phone so I might see what I can whittle down.
TKMaxx is not a favourite of mine but they closed our HomeSense and moved it in there ,so I have a look now and then.

NotPennysBoat · 22/09/2019 17:57

@CamdenTownie is a wetbrush a bit like a tangle teezer?

CamdenTownie · 22/09/2019 18:15

@NotPennysBoat I think it's better, dd1 has very think wavy hair and the Wetbrush doesn't pull at all!

I hate when they merge Home Sense and T K Max - it just becomes T.K Max with a small
Amount of homeware.

99problemsandjust1appt · 22/09/2019 18:17

I got my dd a satsuma body spray from the body shop and a lip gloss and cream blush from boots for her stocking
Might order her a few hairbands and boys from amazon later

99problemsandjust1appt · 22/09/2019 18:17

boys 🤣🤣 bits not boys !!!
