Now that we're well on the way to Christmas I thought we could share what we've purchased in preparation for the big day!

I love writing down what I've bought to keep my mind organized and I also reading what everyone else has bought too for ideas and inspiration.

Today I've bought
Festive cutlery holders
Kids festive pyjamas
Personalised cheese board for my step dad
80 Xmas cards for the kids to give to their class mates
And I also found a festive decorated pouch of dog treats for our dog (doesn't go out of date until Feb 2020 either 😊)in my local supermarket this morning!

2 books about the royal family for my mum and 2 rolls of white paper.
I'm going to try the idea of putting the kids presents in a pile of boxes to look like snowmen. I've got the boxes all organised.

Today, (well it was Monday) I bought the remaining stuff for my mum...

Books from The Works
M&S scarf
Ambi Pur 3volution plugins (currently half price in Tesco's for £2.50 each)
Yankee Candle bundles from Groupon
Thornton's Dark continental
3D Snakes & Ladders
Slippers from Debenhams

And then quite a few tins of biscuits from M&S on offer for £5, a musical Christmas tree shortbread tin, another gorgeous tin with toffee shortbread and a couple of tins of their Belgian biscuits which I thought were £15 usually but were only £10.

They are out of stock on the Snowflake Gin, desperately wanted a couple of bottles but if wasn't to be.

Among other things, for Gds (3) an Excitable Edgar - dragon from the JL Christmas ad. They were just putting a stack of them out while I was queueing to pay in Waitrose.

@whattodo2019 ASOS has some nice ones as I’m looking for my 15 year old and she doesn’t want one too “tacky”

RaeCJ82 · 20/11/2019 18:22

Today I've bought:

A bottle of Chambord
2x Cadbury's chocolates for our Christmas tree

Both were on offer at Waitrose.

Stealthsquiggle · 20/11/2019 18:29

I went to Lidl for sensible stuff and ended up with

Dark chocolate oranges (£1 each)
Stollens (one marzipan and one poppy seed!)
Strawberry candy canes for the tree
A penguin doormat (don’t ask!)

..and launched a paypal claim for something that I thought looked cool for the DC but the vendors have disappeared without trace Angry

Stealthsquiggle · 20/11/2019 18:31

Whattodo - have you tried Qwertee? They have (offically sanctioned by my teenage DC) cool ironic Christmas sweater/sweatshirt designs. DD is even wearing the one DS handed down to her!
