Now that we're well on the way to Christmas I thought we could share what we've purchased in preparation for the big day!

I love writing down what I've bought to keep my mind organized and I also reading what everyone else has bought too for ideas and inspiration.

Today I've bought
Festive cutlery holders
Kids festive pyjamas
Personalised cheese board for my step dad
80 Xmas cards for the kids to give to their class mates
And I also found a festive decorated pouch of dog treats for our dog (doesn't go out of date until Feb 2020 either 😊)in my local supermarket this morning!

Two Advent calendars from Debenhams:
A hot chocolate one for DS2 and
A pork crackling one for DH
And a big thank you to whoever mentioned pork crackling advent calendars on one of these threads. I didn’t know such things existed.

All From smiggle intended for dd7 stocking.
A new purse as hers broke a few days ago so she is using an old one which she informs me she isn’t 4 anymore 😂
A sequin flip notebook with her initial on, and a unicorn key ring with her initial on.
And also ordered her last big present which was l.o.l monopoly 😊

NoWordForFluffy · 07/10/2019 19:07

2 x 4 cans of Elvis Juice for DH as it's the last day of the 2 for £9 promotion today.

WagtailRobin · 08/10/2019 01:46

I discovered "Sass and Belle" thanks to a thread I read on here before I joined. So tonight I subscribed and got 10% off on site, they also have a sale on with items like character tweezers, character nail files etc some lovely bits for a teen girl's stocking and a lot of nice stuff for younger children...

Tonight I have ordered,
Unicorn tweezers reduced to £2
Elephant nail file for 50p (and other nail files for £1)
Unicorn compact mirror for £4
Child's tea set in a suitcase £22 reduced to £6.

There's loads of other stuff I have bookmarked, definitely tempted.

Not so much a purchase really as a I bought £5 of ballot tickets at a quiz night & won a bottle of Whiskey. I've been pricing booze for the Christmas holidays so this is a great bargain Grin
I've added it to my tub of Celebrations choccies so that's a good start on my essentials.

MrsLindor · 08/10/2019 07:53

I've started so I can join in now Smile I've booked my Ocado Christmas Eve slot (first year having Christmas at home and I'm very excited). I got chance to double check my BFs sizes in his T-shirts last night so I've just ordered him a long sleeved Polo from his favourite brand with a 20% new customer discount which knocked £10 off and free p&p so happy bunny.

I've written a list, planning a trip to Boots for the points event which will tick a few aftershave/perfume type gifts off the list.

NoWordForFluffy · 08/10/2019 07:54

I've bought some fruity candy canes and a couple of jigsaws, one for each child.

MarshmallowManiac · 08/10/2019 20:34

I bought 'Hello Dave' (only Fools and Horses) mug and socks for eldest daughter's boyfriend's stocking.

MrsPear · 09/10/2019 12:44

I bought my first thing - a card making kit so that is something to do next month!

October is busy with birthdays!

MileyWiley · 09/10/2019 14:08

I've been the The Works and Matalan hoping for some Christmas joy but nothing, very dissapointing. The Works has nothing except some Christmas crafts bits in yet although they were clearing 3 large shelves so I expect in 2 weeks it will be full Christmas mode. Matalan only had home stuff and minimal of that, again nothing exciting - I wanted to pick up Christmas Pjs and jumpers as these are on the website but none in store yet.

Tesco half price toy sale in 2x Tesco Extras was also crap 😩🤬😭

mummymayhem18 · 09/10/2019 21:24

I got these 3 stocking fillers for my daughter and husband from Boots in the 3 for 2 promotion. ☺️

Today: big box of chocolates from Aldi.

BanginHeadache · 10/10/2019 17:06

Today bought some wrap ups for DSD from the Card Factory and B&M. Already got her a second hand Nintendo DS off eBay and my mum has bought her the LOL camper van. Seen loads of bits in home bargains for making a hamper to give away to someone in need will pick up some stuff now next payday.

M&S biscuits as they're £3 a box. Plus two bags of the Christmas Colin the Caterpillar.

Mrsfussypants1 · 10/10/2019 23:16

A rare trip to actual shops today rather than online. It was fun, but far to many temptations and I'm quite chuffed that I had some strength and wasn't needlessly spendy . But I did pick up; M&s frozen 2 chocolate advent calendar £2, playmobil magic fantasy set £2.49 Tkmax (stocking filler), the snowman cupcake mix set £1.49 B&M, Frozen 2 goglow light/torch £10 argos.

Maxineputyourredshoeson · 11/10/2019 12:28

This was delivered yesterday, it’s bloody huge! A bike, a guitar and a gymnastics beam were also delivered. Fuck knows where I’m going to put it all. I will say I’m completely done for Christmas now though.... well until the twitch Grin

Yesterday: Snow-Enrobed Oreos for DS's stocking. Today: Lakeland trip - got some Neideregger marzipan, 2 lots of Turkish Delight, Jelly Belly jellybeans (another stocking-filler for DS) and Black Garlic Pickle (DH always complains there's not enough savoury stuff in our festive hamper!) Managed not to go mental and got a couple of discounts Star
