Morning!

I hope your night was uneventful, Firefly 💩 💩🙈 And how cute re the cats, love it. ❤️❤️

I'm feeling more human today. I have woken without the headache which wasn't being touched by painkillers at all, so that's something. I'll see how I get on for the rest of the day. 😁

I've no idea on weather; the curtains are closed! I'll find out once I get out there. 😂

It's bright and cold here. I have a meeting this morning and this afternoon I'm taking ds for another blood test. Might pop into the John Lewis!

NoWordForFluffy · 02/10/2019 07:02

It's bright and cold here too, Wreck!

Is this the first follow up after the last lot for your DS? What did the paediatrician say when your GP asked for advice?

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 02/10/2019 07:22

No paediatrician. They wrote for advice and haven't heard back yet but Friday to Sunday he had diarrhoea 14 times. I went back to the gp (had to see a registrar) who basically said what do you want me to do? We've already asked for advice and it could just be constipation. Honestly overflow from constipation can't be like that and if she's so convinced it's that why isn't she investigating? I'm not impressed. They're obviously getting in trouble from paeds for referring when they shouldn't. So I said I want the bloods redone to see what his neutrophil count is now and go from there. I can't believe he's constipated and it's not fair for him to have to keep going through this Angry

NoWordForFluffy · 02/10/2019 07:25

Poor boy. At least he has you as his advocate; some parents wouldn't push at all.

Morning 🌞
Glad you are feeling better today Fluffy 💐
Wreck, l hope Your DS is ok my dear. It's so worrying when our darling children are poorly 💐
Dd2 has been to the Cardiff JL . She's bought herself a B/W polka dot blind for her imaginary future kitchen . The blind is gorgeous ❤️ but it will be a while before she gets a place of her own yet.

Firefly. l am currently watching 'Blue Dahlia' with Alan Ladd . He was so handsome 😍 . Hope your tum is better now. Fancy the cats being besties lol just like cats 😂
Crazy you are not well either m'dear ahh bless you 💐 it seems as if a lot of us are under the weather 💐
Am looking forward to seeing last Christmas. I love the song & video. George was so beautiful 😍 and the snow ahhh lovely ❤️
Right best get back to the film. It's nearly finished there is a beautiful girl in it l must see who it is . She looks like the young paramedic in Casualty. Will post who she is in a bit 🙄🤗
DH heart was going a bit last night but it did settle eventually , fingers crossed 🤞

Mrsmadevans · 02/10/2019 08:23

She was Veronica Lake , sad really she didn't have much of a career she was an alcoholic . Poor thing.
Here's a pic of her , funny how some things interest us 🤗

Firefly hope you are feeling better today. I watched Christmas inheritance last year I think. I love a good cheesy film. My favourite is one called 12 dates of Christmas starring Zack from saved by the bell. I saw it a few years ago and haven't seen it on since.

Fluffy glad you are feeling a bit better and the headaches aren't as bad.

Wreck keep at the drs. Sometimes that's they only way that they listen.

Mrs I had something to reply to you but I need to go back and check 😂.

It's dry here but really overcast. Apparently we're to get a storm later on. I think it's the tail end of a hurricane.

NerosFiddle · 02/10/2019 09:03

Mrs I've never heard of blue dahlia. Is it worth a go?

Ginandsonic · 02/10/2019 09:04

Might already have been mentioned but yesterday I picked up some DC Superhero Girls 6in figures in Poundland for £2 each.
Also in paperchase I got a giant pencil (with appropriate sized sharpener) and like a glitter filled baton type thing for three quid altogether.
And in Debenhams a little game where you knock the ice cream (balls) from the cones by throwing a beanbag for 7.50 (there's definitely a proper name for this game but my brain won't boot up this morning)

Maseandmum · 02/10/2019 09:09

Thank you Mrs (I’ve finally got the hang of how to make your names shorterBiscuit). I was not pronouncing that correctly in the slightest😂. I’m glad your DH is better today.

Firefly our Dcats cuddle up together..its adorable. They’ve best of mates though as they’ve been together since kittens. Are you feeling better today??

Fluffy fingers crossed you’re finally shifting this horrible bug..it sounds awful🤢

Wreck it seems like they never want to delve further with stomach issues. I was like your DS and the doctors said I had IBS, told me to watch what I was eating and that was that..i was back and forth for years in agony with my tummy and i kept getting rashes. They fobbed me off just saying it was IBS and heat rash and basically to grow up and get on with it..it turned out I had Crohn’s disease and my mum had to really push to get them to test for it. Definitely keep pushing them for tests..its bloody unfair that he has to go through thatFlowers

Eventful morning for me..my anxiety was bad this morning..i had a panic attack first thing so was already feeling rubbish. Then came downstairs to find we’ve left the window open so it was freezing..and the cats had ripped up a pillow. Then I fell over as I left the house and have really hurt my hip. Counting down the hours until I can go to bedGrin. No major plans for today..will pick DS up from DM..he’ll be back at nursery tomorrow, then I will get the tea on and maybe we’ll go for a walk later..or watch a Christmas film. My favourite is the Polar Express..i don’t think you can get more Christmassy than that..i also think DS is starting to look like the boy in it as he gets older (albeit the fact he isn’t a cartoon).

Ginandsonic · 02/10/2019 09:29

B+M 2 for £20 is now down to 2 for £16, saw some nerf and X shot guns my kids would go crazy for in the offer

NerosFiddle · 02/10/2019 09:31

Mase there is a Polar express event near me for Christmas. I've only seen it on Fb but it seems like it's a steam train and the play the film on the windows.

Maseandmum · 02/10/2019 09:49

Neros DS would love that!..i’ll see if there are any near me

Mrsmadevans · 02/10/2019 09:55

Nero, no m'dear it was alright for the morning lethargic wake up but l wouldn't recommend it to anyone else. I could've watched Home alone 2 🙄 should've would've could've 😂

Mrsmadevans · 02/10/2019 09:56

Nero the train sounds fab 🚂🚂

Mrsmadevans · 02/10/2019 09:58

Mase glad Dds is better today 🤗

Mrsmadevans · 02/10/2019 10:02

Have been trying to find out if Cardiff Ikea have their Christmas range out 🙄 . It's an impossible task . No one seems to be able to tell me 🙄. Hey ho it's off to Merthyr Tydfil instead . Would much rather go to Ikea 😋

Maseandmum · 02/10/2019 10:45

There’s one by us neros!!!!..will book tickets now

Maseandmum · 02/10/2019 10:52

Thank you Mrs..I hate seeing him poorly. I’ve tried having a look for you re IKEA..but I can’t find anything either. I hope you enjoy your day anyways🎄

NerosFiddle · 02/10/2019 11:55

Mase you'll have a great time. The one near (I say near but it's 2 hours away) us is really expensive. For the 4 of us it would be £100. For dc ages that is too much money on something they won't remember.

Mrs I know they are out in some IKEAs but whether they all put their stuff out together is another question.

WreckTangled · 02/10/2019 12:08

@Maseandmum ds gets a rash too and our family has a strong history of autoimmune conditions. Only thing is his WBC are low not high and his RBC are normal 🤷🏽‍♀️ but I do feel we're being fobbed off

Wow I want to do a polar express event!

Maseandmum · 02/10/2019 12:10

Neros if they do it every year it’s definitely something to do when they’re older..i’ll let you know how it goes

Wreck my blood kept coming back fine..it wasn’t until they did an ultrasound and an MRI that they found I had Crohns

WreckTangled · 02/10/2019 12:19

And, sorry to derail the thread, did you find it came and went? This is why it's taken me so long to see a dr because he can be fine for weeks on end.

I can't find any polar express trains near me Sad

WreckTangled · 02/10/2019 12:22

Also no blood in stool (sorry tmi!)
