Cloudy and rainy here, but still quite warm!. I’m aching for it to be proper winter when there’s heavy winds and loads of rain. I love when my house is cosy again.

Mrs I hope the funeral goes well today, it sounds like a beautiful celebration❤️

Biddy Alicante is gorgeous, especially with good weather. Sorry you had a crap nights sleep though!.

I’ve had a good morning so far. The issue was resolved with PIL. Managed to get to the cafe this morning for a sandwich before work, which was nice. I’ve only got a few weeks left of work which I’m really happy about, so just trying to power through!.

Mrsmadevans · 23/09/2019 17:34

Ahhh thank you all so much you are so kind smile , the funeral was just amazing. A true celebration of a young girls life , bless her heart. There were beautiful flowers, there was a Cinderella casket pulled by 2 white horses with pink feathered plumes. A Cinderella and a Rapunzel entertainers who walked her in the church and the crem . The coffin was just beautiful, all pink , with butterflies and rainbows and fairies, lovely hymns, the vicar was so wonderful. He was an old Irish vicar and he spoke so lovely, he spoke with such feeling . The funeral was just what a funeral should be. Crying, laughing , singing , reminiscing, sharing stories , pictures and love. So much love. It was a privilege to know and look after her bless her beautiful heart smile.

NoWordForFluffy · 23/09/2019 17:37

Ah, Mrs, that sounds like a perfect send off for her. How lovely. ❤️❤️ I hope you're OK.

I'm on the train home, but have a nurse's appt at 6.30 to look at my eye lump. It's still not painful but also isn't going down. I've got loads of nasty bites on my legs too. Not a good look! 😂

Fluffy it was wonderful Smile everything it should have been. l sat by the parents of the other Ellie who passed away in April and we laughed and reminisced, told stories and shared our memories, it was lovely.
l hope your eye is ok m'dear you haven't been sleeping well either lately , have a chill when you get in if you can Flowers

CarysRed · 23/09/2019 19:00

Mrs that sounds beautiful, I’m glad it all went well❤️

Fluffy I hope your eye is okay, I wonder what it is.

The heavens have opened here, I’ve ran myself a nice warm bath and am having a cuppa. Feeling very autumnal.

NoWordForFluffy · 23/09/2019 19:00

Apparently a stye / cyst. Hot compresses until it goes!

So glad the funeral went well Mrs

CarysRed · 23/09/2019 19:29

Fluffy ooh they’re horrible, I used to get them all the time. Mine used to itch like crazy.

NerosFiddle · 23/09/2019 19:41

Mrs I glad it went well.

Fluffy I get them from time to time. Hot flannels are the only thing that tends to help.

I'm watching YouTube videos of shops that have their Christmas stick out. So far B & M, home bargains and the range. I love the range, but I'm dangerous in it.

Mrsmadevans · 23/09/2019 19:52

They had a huge screen at the wake and played pictures of her to Disney music and they were all talking and laughing about the memories they had of her and the things we did with her. l can remember taking her ice skating to Cardiff winter wonderland she had a special wheelchair to go on there it was fantastic Smile. Such a lovely funeral so full of love and yes it sounds nuts but full of life too. I will not see the likes of this again l am sure. Mores the pity because it seems like it was perfect somehow .Thank you all so much it's very kind of you all Smile

Mrsmadevans · 23/09/2019 19:58

Aw poor Fluffy they are horrible things styes so irritating Flowers
Nero, so you are dangereux in the Range m'dear, they are turning the old M & S in Cwmbran into the Range , l can't wait Grin
EM & Crazy did you know they were doing that ? Hooray!

CarysRed · 23/09/2019 21:07

Neros ooh i’ll Have to have a look in B&M

Mrs it sound beautiful!. I always say a funeral should be a celebration of that persons life, and it really seems like it was. I’m so glad she had a beautiful send offFlowers

I have had a bag sitting in the cupboard for ages that I need to unpack, I haven’t been bothered to put the clothes up on a hanger so they’re just in a pile on the floor and my makeup is all over the floor. Trying to pull it together and clean up the room but I’m so tired.

CrazyBaubles · 23/09/2019 21:08

Biddy sounds like you'll have a good opportunity to get ahead with Christmas prep (and I can think of worse places to be sent on a work trip)!

Fluffy I hope the stye goes down soon.

MrsMad so glad the funeral was a celebration - it sounds like a beautiful service.
And no, I wondered what they were going to do with M&S, it's quite a big store and in a great spot in town. Lucky I don't go into Cwmbran often, the range will bankrupt me Xmas Grin Do you know when it's opening?

I've been off work today with a migraine. It actually wasn't that bad but it started yesterday and effected my eyes to the point I couldn't drive this morning so I stayed home.

DH spotted a Christmas mag in Tesco and sent me a pic... didn't pick it up for me though!

As I've felt a little better this evening I've blocked more of my Christmas bunting. I'm really pleased with how it's turning out (pic included)

NoWordForFluffy · 23/09/2019 21:11

That's very cute, Crazy.

I've been sitting with a warm compress this evening. It feels different. Hopefully it'll pop soon!

I looked at that magazine, Crazy. I didn't buy it as it's not quite my thing!

CarysRed · 23/09/2019 21:38

Crazy loving the bunting! I hope your migraine has eased off.

I’ve just dug out an old Christmas book, well I say old, it was published in 2007. But it’s great. Has loads of different things, such as, how to host a Christmas party, a plastic free Christmas, recipe ideas etc. I’m not sure where I got it from!

Morning!

It's dark. I think it's dry. It's a bit breezy, but not investable. I am wearing tights. So, yep, it's autumn.

I sat with a hot flannel on my eye for much of last night. And had a early night. The stye does seem smaller today, so let's hope it continues to improve.

Off to work soon. Boo!

It's raining here. Has been all night and apparently will be until midday. Sounds quite heavy ☔️☔️

EmrysAtticus · 24/09/2019 07:08

Heavy rain here too and still dark. Definitely autumn!

CarysRed · 24/09/2019 07:11

The rain woke me up this morning it was that heavy!! It’s still dark. I love days like this, but they do make me not want to go to work. I just want to roll back over and get warm again!

NoWordForFluffy · 24/09/2019 07:12

We have potential, but not actual, rain this morning. Then dry later on and tomorrow, I think. It's very much find a drying slot and fling the washing out this week!

OP posts:
CarysRed · 24/09/2019 07:13

Fluffy it looks like it’s constant rain, for a while, for us!

NoWordForFluffy · 24/09/2019 07:19

We only get a respite tomorrow. Then it's wall to wall rain by the look of it. Hopefully it'll blow over quickly as it tends to do on the coast.

OP posts:
CarysRed · 24/09/2019 08:40

Fluffy we’re right in the middle so no chance of it blowing over for us.

It was so cosy this morning, the rain had eased off but all the cars had their lights on and there were loads of orange leaves everywhere. It’s definitely autumn!

WreckTangled · 24/09/2019 08:45

I'm drenched just from taking dc to the bus stop 😭

NerosFiddle · 24/09/2019 09:24

Red do you know what book it is? I bought one last year, I think it was GH from the 80s. I must try and find it again.

It's supposed to stay dry today, but I already don't believe it.

Smyths catalogue came in yesterday, so I'll try and get a wee look through it.
