Mrsmadevans · 17/09/2019 09:01

Just got bedding out on line 😁
Am still clueless re the Spider poo🤔
Have a wonderful day everyone 😀

Mrsmadevans · 17/09/2019 09:03

Good car Fluffy 😊
Very well done 👍
Should last you a good few miles . My sister's did nearly 200,000 before they got a new one 😁

NoWordForFluffy · 17/09/2019 09:13

We only do 8,000 a year! 😂

Well done, Wreck. I'm going to get Matilda tickets for DD's birthday. I'm just trying to plan when would be best to go.

We saw Matilda it's amazing! I think it's one of my favourites. It was cheapest to get tickets direct through the RSC when we went Smile

I've had my car from new for a year and ten months and I've done 24000 miles. It's an nhs lease car for this reason!

NoWordForFluffy · 17/09/2019 09:30

We saw it on preview in 2011 (I think). DD is reading it now and loves it. I think it'd be too loud and jumpy for DS, so he and DH can go to the Science Museum or something!

Fluffy I was told the spindly ones eat the fat ones and was always a bit sceptical but we seem to be in the middle of a spider war since coming back from our trip.
The spindly ones are everywhere (our house is old with high ceilings and they're in a lot of the corners) and I've found 4 dead fat ones in their webs over the last week.

I leave them alone unless it's a fat one - then ddog2 (terrier) eats them or DH gets rid if they're in the bedroom because I wouldn't sleep.

WRT the weather - we put the fan on last night! Full disclaimer - this may be because we're both feeling a little ill (my hangover became a migraine and DH has a cold and temp) but we were boiling.

Car said it was 9degrees this morning. Lovely and cool.

Good car Fluffy - when I used to work in car claims We had to do training on safety ratings etc and Volvos were always at the top.

I'm in work today but I've brought yarn and a crochet hook with me for lunch. I've suddenly realised I have too many projects / presents to make and am going to run out of time if I don't get a wriggle on!

Woohoo we’re in double figures on the countdown! It’s my birthday on Saturday and it’s a lovely forecast. DC have both come down with a cold unfortunately, but hoping they’ll be over it by the weekend so we can have a nice family day out.

NoWordForFluffy · 17/09/2019 17:37

We're pleased with the car. They're solid work horses, aren't they?

Crazy, I wish I could take my cross stitch to work. It's too much hassle though really. And I walk at lunch time, so could only do it on a rammed train with no tables. It wouldn't really work!

July, have you got anything planned for your birthday?

I picked up my Christmas order from Matalan today. It's heavy!

The pyjamas will be in on Thursday, apparently.

I've been to the Christmas shop in Berlin today. Bought a cookie cutter and a tree decoration.

NoWordForFluffy · 17/09/2019 17:41

Ooh. I was there on 28 Sept last year! Isn't it ace?!

myloveforfrazzles · 17/09/2019 17:47

Ooh can I join! I love a chatty Christmas thread and it’s September now so no one can shout!

FireflyGirl · 17/09/2019 18:21

mylove they're not allowed to shout in here.

They'll get told to bugger off.

Yey for getting tickets, Wreck. Is it going to be a surprise?

DH had a nice day, Fluffy, thanks for asking. He had the day off work and just pottered a bit. We celebrated properly on Saturday, after we shipped DS off to my parents Grin

DH and I saw Matilda in February when it was touring. Was probably the best show we've seen; DH is not a fan of musicals and he said he'd recommend it to anyone. The kids in it were amazing!

We need to book tickets to see The Cursed Child. DH is supposed to be organising it, hence why nothing has been done...

myloveforfrazzles · 17/09/2019 18:49

Firefly it’ll be a safe haven from DH then😂 No Christmas until December for him!

FireflyGirl · 17/09/2019 19:10

This is the The Snowman and The Snowdog Advent calendar from Home Bargains.

I'm not sure about the jelly centred marshmallows who tf thought that up?!? Hmm but the boxes are quite big and refillable. And very cute!

NoWordForFluffy · 17/09/2019 19:14

I saw that, Firefly; it's very cute. But we have a reusable cloth one which we fill with (dairy free) chocolates for the kids, so I didn't buy it.

WreckTangled · 17/09/2019 19:19

Firefly it's going to be her Christmas present Grin

ChristmasInJuly · 17/09/2019 19:44

Fluffy all I wanted was a big roast with all the family, so that’s happening on Sunday. I know DH has arranged for my Mum to have the children Saturday night but I don’t know what we’re doing. Most probably the cinema, I think the new Brad Pitt film Ad Astra will be out by then.

myloveforfrazzles · 17/09/2019 20:44

Firefly that’s really cute!. We have a wooden one with little drawers and I leave little sweets in it for DH in the morning😂

NerosFiddle · 17/09/2019 21:33

Evening all.

Firefly I saw cursed child in January and it was amazing. We were in the nose bleed seats but it was still the best play I've ever seen.

Dh has booked my birthday present. We're going to Liverpool for a weekend. It's not until mid October but I can't wait!

Someone needs to delete EBay off my phone. I keep buying clothes for dc. I just can't pass a bargain.

WreckTangled · 17/09/2019 21:35

We saw the cursed child in July. Agree it was amazing! You have to book well in advance though.

Morning! I think; it's very dark!

No idea on weather due to the aforementioned darkness. 😂😂 It's meant to be nice though.

I was woken by my annoying bladder again today. Thankfully not quite as early as yesterday. I never used to need a wee overnight. Must be my age. Sigh.

OP posts:
myloveforfrazzles · 18/09/2019 07:16

It’s dark here too Fluffy, and bloody cold. I have my 12 weeks scan today so I’m counting down the hours until that.

WreckTangled · 18/09/2019 07:19

It's 5° here Shock going to be a lovely day though. Dd was up in the night with a high temperature she's got a horrible cough. I'm afraid she's going to school though because she's woken up fine and is being her loud self Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 18/09/2019 07:26

Yeah. It was a cold walk to the station this morning! 🥶 I might have to get my tights out!

Good luck with the scan, frazzles.

Dose up DD with medicine, Wreck!
