Mad, mad week here.
Lots to do at work. But making good progress on those mountains of paper.
Lots to do at home - but cleaners were in, DPs not staying this weekend after all, and some hotspots tackled.
Lots to do for sailing and Scouts - but set a couple of things in train so reasonable progress on both, I just need to send an email to parents tonight about Scouts, and a WhatsApp to a couple of leaders to cover a session when I can't, and that should be ok for the moment.
But worst of all, announcement last Friday of promotion competition at work. So working on that form (draft 1 completed this afternoon, deadline Monday week), and bigger promotion competition announced this afternoon (1st was internal in my Department, 2nd is InterDepartmental across all Govt Depts), so a 2nd set of forms to fill in.
One competition needs a presentation on "solutions to a problem you see facing the Dept), the 2nd involves a written exam.....and then both have at least 2 rounds of interviews, even if you pass the various shortlisting processes in both.
I will need some seriously festive Gin or similar by the time they are done! (Cos I reckon 1 might be finished by Halloween, the 2nd might be just before Christmas if I am very lucky!).
In other news, Choir at work got restarted this week - we are learning "Royals" by Lorde, which is difficult but nice. And a good distraction for 1 lunch-hour every week!
Oh, sun is shining.
And I know we are getting takeaway tonight!
Ok, email to Cub parents, and then I can think about checking in for my flight Sunday, and grabbing the rest of my papers.....
